I've listened to this about four times. and I'll be honest this is better than the classic italo and modern italo disco what i hear by you, Paolo, is spot on perfect. I hope to purchase an italo album by you soon.
I'm on my way to eBay right now. lol. sounds great. you're really amazing Paolo. thank you for demo ing it for us. I'll treat myself, since it's my Birthday.
Your compositions take me back to those good old days Paolo. RUclips is truly a blessing, allowing people like you to share their creativity with the public. These particular sounds and chords can really put you in a timemachine. In my case remembering the radiostations in my town which gave Italo music a lot of airplay, and besides that the summer holidays I spent in Italy. That was end 70's up to 1983, 84. Great times!
Wow amazing Music Mr.Paolo. Awesome sounds I like so much. Greatvideo It really reminds you of the music of that time or soundtracks from movies from the 80s. Thank so much for sharing with all of us
Wonderful perfomance as always, Paolo. I'm really looking forward for you to teach us some of those improvisation technics, specially how to get the chords always right.
I hope you're ready for your channel going bio-hazardously viral... Your channel really is one of the best synth channels of all time. I like that you talk about your sets, but only in a bare facts quick intro fashion... your humility and humanity is what sells you... well that and your musicianship. Don't take it as a insult, as it's not what I intend... but there's also a certain Lawrence Welk or Ed Sullivan like quality that seems completely unintentional but really works when you're presenting information. It's like a dream variety show where the synths are the stars.
I do retro 80's also with very similar synths. ( I have 16 ancient and newer Roland synths and samplers )And i have 2 old lexicons and roland R-880 reverb which is a monster. Always sound great. Nice job!
all fans of Italo Disco:vkdlmsk2.muzofond.com/aHR0cDovL2NzNTIxNTE3LnVzZXJhcGkuY29tL3UxODYzMDg0ODYvYXVkaW9zLzEyYzU0MzkyYTYzZS5tcDM/ZXh0cmE9dlpzbEFfTUs2OXZhMFhXWWVSUkIwaHE3QmxMczZSd0JSUEhVVlZUYmNyR3A1RUp5R1ZNZjBzRGVDYmpUd2pUX2lucF9iSXJuM3NCWHZhVVNJaVRSR2g4YzJBSTc1c2d6THBfaTR5bEVWa1EwMWwweXgtODkyMmQ0M0dGLW4tbTJMSVk0LVF2VGlnVDYwUE8tJnRpdGxlPUFMQkVSVCtPTkUrLStMYWR5K08lMjcrJTI4SW5zdHJ1bWVudGFsK1ZlcnNpb24lMjkrLSsxOTg1KyUyQitWSURFTyZpZD0xODYzMDg0ODZfMTg3MjIxNzUz
It's so cool watching a piece of equipment from a band I love in use. The band I'm referring to is Moev from Nettwerk Records in the 80s, I know many other bands used this but just off the top of my head that's what I think of
One of my all time favorite effects units. As a digital delay the PCM 41 and PCM 42 units are undefeated. There is a reason why when you would buy A copy of Mix magazine that it was always one of the pieces found on the front cover in just about every studio. I had a sax player friend that owned and used one in the mid 80's live. Ridiculous sounding and that's why they are currently so expensive. The closest thing I own is the Delta Lab ADM 1024 and ADM 512. Still even the emulation versions of the PCM 41/42 don't compare to the original rack. Thanks for sharing...
I discovered this channel only a few weeks ago, but I'm loving it! you have great talent for making good-sounding melodies, you should turn them to actual songs instead of just a demo.
Could you please do a demonstration of the famous LinnDrum uses and history? maybe touch upon the differences between LM-1 & LinnDrum. Love your channel!
Awesome as always for someone who grew up with Italo disco! Now a question: How do you get the time to play with your awesome collection of 80's toys and make videos virtually every day? And juggle a family on top of that? That skill is probably more interesting than your musical skills! :)
I always wanted the PCM SERIES but could never afford it so I got the LXP5 and the MPC1 which both have that phat Lexicon sound. I also have the ALEX and the Vortex.
So here's what you need to do: Get a time machine, go to the 80s, find Baby's Gang and bring them back to do vocals. Bonafide retro gold! This is the stuff time machines were meant for.
Really love your style. Had heard of the lexicon through a interview with Cevin Key from Skinny Puppy and just had to check out what it in another style of music.
You can move the Italian out of Italy, but you cannot move Italy out of the Italian. Can't help but notice that you're wearing a rather nice shirt, which reminds me of the times we went shopping in Rome. 🙂
I never knew the name of this genre until recently, despite growing up as a teenager through this era. Over the past few weeks I have listened to many of your videos and especially LOVE the Italo Disco style. It has a cheekyness about it. Side note, I really appreciate your videos, that are gold. Thanks for all that you do. My favorite song from this era is Mr Roboto by Styx. How would you categorize that song?
Wow! 505 is SO FAT... Yes, TR505 have a great snare sample (VERY beautiful and tight), but in your video the sound of the 505 - just wonderful! Cool video and amazing stuff :)
This is crazy ! Ther's a ton of people recreating old stuff with Y Tyros ......eeeehh You are a real deal, P R O P S ! 10/10 Make a SIMMONS sample pack I'll buy one ! PLS
I notice that only 6 people out of almost 700 dislikes this video. That is less than one percent, and pretty record-like on RUclips I'm sure. But still man!! :D Just can't help wondering who those six braintumor-struck individuals are. How can anybody be that tone-deaf !? :D
There might be some minimal eq/compression on the final MP4 before I upload to RUclips, but it wouldn't make any substantial difference as to how this video sounds
You have no idea how much we enjoy your videos, thanks to share your impressive and Invaluable knowledge :)
David, thank you :)
+David Boura
HAHA!! I think you meant, INVALUABLE, not unvaluable! The "un" in a case like this means not - not valuable!
HowlingMoonCinemas oops, thanks! (though a few people seem to agree with my statement lol)
the i is near the u depending on pc!
So beautiful! Love your channel! Used to own a Juno-60 back in the 80s. Your music literally moves me back to when I was 16- something.
I've listened to this about four times. and I'll be honest this is better than the classic italo and modern italo disco
what i hear by you, Paolo, is spot on perfect. I hope to purchase an italo album by you soon.

Sei molto bravo! Mi hai fatto rivivere la Itali Disco dei mitici 80!
I was never a fan of Italo Disco but Paolo's skill at playing anything is amazing!
I wonder how many people can still make this kind of music with the original instruments. Couple of handful I guess. SUPER !! Really enjoy this
Wow amazing Music Mr.Paolo. Awesome sounds I like so much. Greatvideo It really reminds you of the music of that time or soundtracks from movies from the 80s. Thank so much for sharing with all of us

Gonzalo Gallardo hes spot on isn't he. but he was a teen-ager in Italy listening to italo disco around that period so it's engraved within him.
amazing - synthmania - thank you my friend
All your Videos packed in one Video is the Best Mix ever. 😄👍
It's fascinating how these old delay modules work. Thanks for sharing!
Can't wait to hear and see your version of Human League songs. Thanks in advanced for that!!

Reminds me so much of Alan Parsons Project's Mammagamma. Great video/sound!
That MicroBrute is amazing... The performance is excellent... I feel like I'm back in the night clubs here in Melbourne.... thanks for that.
Thank you, Peter
2:06 - instant P. Lion "Happy Children" syncopation!
That delay sounds wonderful. Great tune as well!!
As usual, your Italo-Disco--even when improv'd--is spot-on... Viva!
3 people were probably waiting for Simmons drum-fills... ;-)

Paolo, can you do a video on doing Italo-style drum fills? I would love to see that. It's something I've never quite had a grasp on.
Very Great music

Yes, TR505 have a great snare sample (VERY beautiful and tight), but in your video the sound of the 505 - just wonderful!

Italo Disco is the BEST. Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite synthesizer? Mine is the Jupiter 8. Keep up the great work. Good evening. Sam.

Ciao. Ma qual'è la tua storia nella musica? Posso trasferirmi a casa tua? Imparare tutto quello che sai, ed ereditare le macchine?
Fantastic! :)
Awesome!
Pretty Cool!
Thank you

Thank you for sharing :)
With what the click of attack on arp omni 2 is connected, I thought this is a problem only for software VST ...
I still have a PCM41 and a PCM42 I bought brand new. $$$$
Best,congrats
Great.
Bravooooooooooo
I notice that only 6 people out of almost 700 dislikes this video. That is less than one percent, and pretty record-like on RUclips I'm sure. But still man!! :D Just can't help wondering who those six braintumor-struck individuals are. How can anybody be that tone-deaf !? :D
Is there any soundpack of these jammings to purchase?
Sweet
do you do any mixing or EQ/compressing of your live stuff is it all just recorded direct?
There might be some minimal eq/compression on the final MP4 before I upload to RUclips, but it wouldn't make any substantial difference as to how this video sounds
Why PCM 41 and not any other delay? What's so special about it?
cool !!
Super-duper delay!
Dear Santa, ...
