As this season was coming out, me and several of my younger siblings would watch them with my dad on dailymotion (they weren't released on Netflix yet) and this part of the episode made my dad cry. Boy, I miss those days.
Funny how I can remember Applejack's parents even though they're dead. Meanwhile, there are other shows where the parents of the main characters are alive and they have all the personality of a corpse. If MLP can make me care about and remember parents who only appeared in one episode, there is no excuse for other shows.
since in the episode the lost mark of the crusaders or smth (the one where the 3 get their marks) aj says a line like "if mom and dad were here, they would be so proud" i dont think aj wouldve said that if they were dead and in the song sister hood, applebloom starts with:" we all have out brothers and mothers and fathers, and honor them like any pony should...." if her parents were dead, this would not make any sense

That song was just beautiful. I do feel bad for Pear Butter though. Her dad couldn't accept the fact that no matter what he or anyone else tells her, she is still proud to be an Apple rather than a Pear. So he just ran off with his only reply being "Fine", fulled by the bitter disappointment he witnessed. This mistake would haunt him for 20 years until he returns and makes amens with his grandchildren. But it was too late to apologize to his daughter and his son-in-law. This story is beautiful in every way but is still very sad when you think about it. Imagine if you or someone you know did the same as Grand Pear did. A mistake like that can haunt you forever. While I'm happy the families are finally together again, I still wonder what happened to Pear Butter and Bright Mac every night in my sleep and wonder if they would have ever forgiven Grand Pear for his mistake. That's what I learned from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" Season Seven Episode Thirteen "The Perfect Pear" (2017). 🍏🍎♥😭☺
I don't get it, this song doesn't seem to be in the "My Little Pony Friendship is magic Collection" album. In fact, that collection doesn't seem to have anything past the fourth season. Soo....
