It's so annoying that GTS allows you to ask for impossible mons. And it's dumb that they have an option to include mythicals in the search, but you can't even trade mythicals so like wtf
There are 2 ways to trade mythicals (but why would you even do so?). 1 is to just trade the ones from Pokemon Go and 2 is to trade the ones you caught yourself (like swsh keldeo and sv meloetta). You can't trade event distribution ones.
It's way better than the previous versions of GTS but the fact you can ask for "Imposible requirements" is one of the biggest issues. There is also this thing where people ask for exclusive "real world regional forms" like Furfrou's from Go.
There actually *is* a checker for impossible requirements... But it's super basic and, as can be seen, lets a lot of blatant things it should catch through.
“I want Galarian wheezing in brilliant diamond” seems like the kind of basic check they could build since they know the legality of every mon in every game already!
we often use furfrou as a sort of trade token. Its much easier to offer my shiny for a pharoh furfrou, and then find someone with the pokemon I want who is asking for a pharoh furfrou, than it is to try and go on some message board and look for a single individual who has the pokemon I want and wants the pokemon I have. thus will all change once we can get furfrou forms in a mainline game again, since people will then just spoof in "legal" mons and trade them as if they were legit
I think part of Home’s focus on mobile is due to the popularity of Pokémon Go. I get that Home’s use is mainly for console but for them to make the mobile experience with the most features on the same platform as the series’ biggest game, it makes weird sense. Ain’t right tho.
@@madnessarcade7447 inconvenience* you pay for home prem on switch just to use it on phone? thats backwards, and you cant be in switch and mobile at the same time. the only pokemon game on the mobile is GO, everything else is on switch. if youre playing pokemon and need something from any of the trade systems it should be accessible from switch version. theres no reason it should be exclusive to mobile version. i do like that i can check my trades anywhere at anytime, but i shouldnt need to get my phone if im already on my switch, which was logged in but now i have to close that so i can open the mobile app, then reopen the switch version after. its unnecessary.
Oh, yes! For me it's been a lot easier on Mobile, but they should really put it on both for everyone's convenience... like Kiran wouldn't be able to use the mobile app...@@madnessarcade7447

@@CJXalax Former. It's so annoying, because I'm not about to replay my least favorite gen just for a poodles hair cut! And I still don't know why mythical can't be traded.
@@justsomeguy7077 you cant even do that. you can of course get a furfrou trim in gen 6/7, but the trim will be gone by the time its in your pc (gen 6) or by the time its in bank (gen 7) and itll just be normal form by the time its in home. the only way to get furfrou trims in home is thru go, which is a whole other can of worms. not only do you need to find a furfrou in the first place which is rng, but you need to trim it after that which costs furfrou candy which also sucks to get-- AND a bunch of the trims are region-locked or event-locked. for example, pharaoh trim is only in the middle east, and heart trim is only on valentines day
What I hate the most about this GTS is the fact that you have to turn off Home mobile, transfer from the games, turn off home switch, open home mobile, refind the trade, do the trade if you didnt already have the mon in home
The only issues i knew prior to this video was that for some reason people were allowed to ask for an Alolan Golem, but ask to make it transferable to BDSP. That is literally impossible to move into BDSP via Pokemon HOME, and I'm was having issues finding someone to touch trade for Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt online so the GTS having essentially nothing that allowed me to actually temp obtain one (even if it wasn't a legitimate one) for the dex really sucked
@@samuelunknown1940 now that I think about it, there's always been "asking for a level 1-10 legendary Pokemon" asks, but because of Pokemon GO those are actually possible now. So people trying to annoy people looking for trades now have a new way to piss us off... Man that sucks
@@Mimiyan_or_Pikapikafanif you haven’t found someone to touch trade with for the dex I can help you out since I’ve completed mine with those 2 paradoxes
Btw, Home does have a punishment and filter system already, but there's always going to be a few names that get through those no matter how strict it is.
It is past time for this option to be added. I don't give a flip what the OT's name is. But if that pokemon has a nickname that's advertising a damn website, I have to release them because they're not legit. Hell, they could BE legitimately caught, but if the nickname is an advertisement, it's not worth the risk. The GTS is sooo bad. Like... I go into the option for finding people who are looking for pokemon that I have, and damn near every time I want to offer up one of my pokemon, selected by their system as being wanted, they say "no one wants that pokemon". If no one wanted it, then why was it selected in that option? The ONLY time that's not the case is if I decide to see who's asking for one of my Legendaries. *sigh* And most of those aren't offering anything that's *worth* giving up a Legendary. People need to get lessons in relative value of Pokemon or something.
Maybe certain Pokémon could get a value score exclusive to the GTS that makes it so they can only be requested for If the Pokémon offered is equivalent to that status. For example Dialga could be offered in exchange for any box Art legend or lower in rarity. But somebody offering Bidoof would be bared from requesting Dialga
@ScumSookar brother its honestly not that easy currently unless you have a gen 1 switch where you can soft mod and those switches are less than 1% of all switches
@@Athena6 it really is that easy, sure, a first production model switch is the easiest as you can just RCM it out of the gate, but all other switch models can have hardware mods soldered onto them to enable the same payload injection.
@jormungand72 it's easy if you understand soldering already yeah but labeling it as 'super easy' makes it sound like the 3ds where it's essentially drag and drop
Personally I'm of the opinion that the GTS should strip all nicknames and place a flag on anything traded that the nicknames can be changed once received by the new trainer. It's beyond frustrating that TPCi does very little to stop these disgusting nicknames. And I know that a system like that could be put into place - I uploaded my main team Weavile I had nicknamed "Violette" (a play on the word "violet" and using "ette" as a feminine name ending) yet when it was sent from Bank to Home the nickname was removed for being inappropriate. The game had placed some sort of flag though indicating it could be renamed once put into another game from Home, so I went ahead and did so.
thats not how it worked. it simply un-nicknamed your pokemon. in the newer games, if a traded pokemon has no nickname, youre allowed to give it a nickname once. thats not to say that youre wrong overall, just that that flag system doesnt exist
I give away a lot of baby Pokemon on the GTS, and originally, I named them cute names until I realized that if I left on the default names their new trainer could name them themselves. I'm sorry about what happened to Violette. If you haven't already, maybe if you put it In Sword & Shield or Scarlet & Violet you will be able to change its name back to something similar as all the nameless Pokemon I send from my 3DS, DS and even Gameboy Advance still can have their names changed in Scarlet. So maybe if you try that, it will work, given she technically has no name. Sorry If I wasted your time just wanted to mention it.
I tried to name an Espeon Violetta in Y once but wondered why it wouldn't let me until I erased it up to 'Vio'. Years later I found out that was due to the french translation of r*pe
That's really sad; I tried to name a Pokemon that once when I was young as well, but I didn't know until now. It's a shame such a pretty name in english is such a scary word in another language.@@giratina6665
Here's a solution to the gts problem. Don't do nicknames. Like, when someone puts a pokemon up for trade, the gts should just automatically remove any nickname it has. We sort of already have this in swsh and sv with the ability to change nicknames of pokemon that are traded to you. Just do the same sort of thing for the gts.
To be clear, what's different now starting from Sword/Shield is that you are allowed to nickname a traded Pokemon if it has its default species name (in other words, if it's un-nicknamed). If it was already nicknamed, there's still no changing it. Once you do nickname it though, it becomes nicknamed (duh), meaning it then becomes unchangeable unless it's traded back to its OT. So you essentially have just that one opportunity to give it a nickname. I do agree that trades on GTS and probably Wonder Trade or similar systems should wipe nicknames though. It's just too ripe for abuse. Kids play this shit. Also don't really understand why we aren't allowed to erase nicknames of traded mons in the first place. I imagine most cases of people trading offensively-named stuff on the GTS are actually cases of people receiving offensively-named stuff, not wanting the offensive name, and trying to trade it off to someone else for an inoffensively-named copy. I noticed how a lot of those inappropriately-named Gouging Fires were requesting another Gouging Fire in return, and I don't really see why else people would request a trade like that.
If it's natural forme, that's possible. But if it's another forme, they can't level that high in Pokemon Go which is the only way to get the formes in home, making them impossible.
I just got Pokemon Home recently to transfer my Pokemon from Bank. Upon my first time using the GTS, I found an issue where people were asking for Furfrou. Now that may not sound bad, I have many Furfrous from my copy of X & Y. Except the people on the GTS were asking for specific forms of Furfou. This is an issue because Furfrou defaults to its original form when you transfer it to Pokemon Bank. So what's the big deal? Apparently, Furfrou retains its form when transferred from Pokemon Go to Home, and some forms are only available in SPECIFIC PARTS OF THE WORLD. And because these forms are only obtainable through Pokemon Go at the moment, the GTS is filled with desirable Pokemon asking for Furfrou forms that are near IMPOSSIBLE to obtain. Have fun trying to complete a living dex, it's a literal nightmare!
This is why I knew enough to build and complete my Living Dex back in Pokemon Bank and transferred it into HOME. I will continue to maintain it as games are added, but I'm not going through THAT nightmare again.
Pokémon home has always had a long running problem where people try to trade impossible Pokémon, for example the lv 10 alolan golem, but the most common one is pharaoh style furfuro at level 100, the only way to get pharaoh style furfuro is though go, go can’t make level 100 Pokémon. When bloodmoon ursaluna was released, there was a bug where it couldn’t be traded because both forms was registered at the time. So yeah, a lot of problems
Isn't it *technically* still possible to give Furfuro the pharaoh cut in one of the 3DS games, transfer it to bank and then to home? At least until April that is.
I had a GTS trade with my tepig for a Raging Bolt, but the name was so... edgy that I had to release it, plus the OT name was from a hacked website. If anyone was curious what the name was... let's say an angry artist from 1940s... I hope they fixed the GTS issue
@@iatebambi I think you got it mixed up. They were trading the Tepig for Raging Bolt, and the Raging Bolt had the bad nickname. I just assume it was the one shown in the video.
What you covered in this video is unfortunatlty the tip of the iceberg. As someone searchinf frequently pokemon on the gts, I am often come across people asking for trade that are literraly impossible like the alolan golem you saw. The thing is you probably didn't saw much of this for a simple reason, unlike the old GTS, not all available pokemon are displayed, only a limited number ; you can figure this out by using the different filter, which will let you access some pokemon that you can't see on a basic search. Add the limited search issue, the impossible asks, the offensive nicknames, and the plenty cloned and gened pokemon and sometimes even illegal pokemon (shiny locked or impossible level) that are being deposited and not moderated, and you have a really awful trade system. At least you can't crash on this gts, like you can on 3ds I guess.
That's not the worst part... the worst part is that specific trims are REAL LIFE based locations and must use pokemon go to get them. All because you can't get those trims in Gen 6/7, transfer to bank then transfer to home to keep. Only from pokemon go to home they are kept
What makes the furfrou issue worse is that they're requesting level 100 ones, and the only way to get trimmed furfrou into home is through go, where pokemon can be level 50 max, which means that until legends z-a those trades are likely impossible
Lack of nickname monitoring is definitely a problem, but in general trading on the GTS is completely useless for veteran players. Everyone always wants whatever the rarest Pokémon is. It is nearly impossible to trade up. Violet players just got screwed over, because Gouging Fire only trades for Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt only trades for itself of Gouging Fire. This is more of Scarlet and Violet’s fault for making the version exclusives so unbalanced, because Scarlet got the better ones for the most part. Anyway, you can’t safely deposit your own legendary either, since you will almost certainly get a hacked Pokémon, and you are forced to either take a loss or contribute to the problem. Any non-legendaries or other one-time Pokémon, and any pre-switch era Pokémon is usually safe, so it is still useful for filling in the Pokédex or getting older legendaries they might want, although I think they might still have trouble with getting Pokémon Go legendaries to transfer in. I felt like I was able to really take advantage of the GTS up until SWSH Crown Tundra, then it just became a mess.
Man when I was a kid playing these games, my biggest issue was just hacked mons and a lack of compatability checks. Though if I were the dev, I would implement a funni solution where I add different flags for certain Pokémon and if someone asks for a Pokémon with impossible parameters, then the trade will just set the parameters to default without notifying the player.
It’s on mobile because they want people without a Nintendo Online subscription to use it. Stuff like Pokemon Bank is already on a separate server, and you can get online distributions without having NSO, so I imagine they couldn’t negotiate a non-NSO GTS on Switch, so they made it exclusive to mobile.
So I traded for the "6MilJewsWE" Gouging Fire and had the "IH8(Black lives matter)" Ursaluna before. The Gouging Fire has Shiny Dens OT while Ursaluna has Berichan's OT. Both are respected members in the Pokemon community. My guess is that the mons are made by trolls to smear their image.
honestly the thing that frustrates me most about home's gts is that it has a really heavy focus on furfrou forms that are really inaccessable for people who dont play go or have lots of sought after pokemon to trade around. aside from that ive never run into any issues really
They should straight up remove the “game you want to move it to” option because of kids flexing their hacked shiny legendaries Also we need a “pokemon not requested” option that eliminates all trades that are requesting whatever pokemon you set the option to (if you set it to furfrou-kabuki, trades that are requesting furfrou-kabuki will not show)
They should let us be able to report trades either with offensive names, impossible to obtain pokemon+ball+game combinations, and impossible trade requests
I can't nickname my Rillaboom Bongo or my Duraladon Skyscaper but these morons can name their Pokemon much worse, got it. Thanks Nintendo for being so consistent and keeping us safe from the TRULY bad names.
It’s probably because Bongo has the name Bong in it I only know this because I got two shiny Bronzong in Arceus and named them Bing and B0ng. And Skyscraper has KYS inside of it, kinda stupid but like I get what they’re trying to do.
I know but they got away with Cofagrigus so they can't complain about my names. Besides, you'd think the AI would know that a bongo is a drum or skyscrapers exist. It's just annoying hypocrisy.@@weirdreapr
I'm genuinely surprised Gamefreak doesn't make it so Pokemon that go on the GTS don't have a nickname or deletes their nickname and just renames it to whatever the region name is meant to be. It can't be that hard to check for a nicknamed flag, they already had an overly strict one for older Pokemon games where you couldn't trade Bulbasaur or Nosepass because their names contained words on the list they have even without nicknames... to this. It seems like it would be a better idea and I'm kinda shocked they haven't done that.
I wanted giratina for my scarlet version since scarlet is my first Pokémon game so I went to the gts in home and someone wanted kyurem. No problem I had two kyurem in Pokémon go I transferred the weak kyurem to Pokémon home I realised the person wanted a korean kyurem so I traded my English kyurem for a Korean Kyurem for a Korean Giratina the giratina is in my scarlet but I don`t like how people want a certain language
I mean, there's a valid reason for wanting multiple region Pokemon: 1: it tracks for each species which languages you have it in. So there's that, probably not something almost anyone cares about tho unless... 2: it's a Ditto because Masuda Method But specifically legendary Pokemon? Only reason I could see if they wanted to make sure it wasn't named inappropriately, which shouldn't even be a problem in the first place. Infact why can't we nickname Pokemon that are already nicknamed? Feels dumb tbh nowadays
I dont enjoy filling the pokedex, but HOME gts made it so smooth... plus I can keep trading repeated legendaries I caught in other generations for new mons. I like it.
4:00 Actually this is possible! In Pokémon GO if you catch an Alolan Geodude around its lowest CP, evolve it once in GO, transfer it into one of the Switch games, and then trade it. Boom you have a Level 1-10 Alolan Golem. It's not worth it though since having an Alolan Golem at that low of a level is cooler Edit: Nevermind! I'll keep this here still incase anyone else wants low leveled fully evolved Pokemon
I actually have had some success with the GTS on Home. The trick is Shiny or Legendary Pokémon you don’t want. I threw a Kubfu I caught solely to prove a point in and quickly got a Chinese-T Raging Bolt. Oddly in the Ball I wanted. Also, the Game mark doesn’t actually denote legitimacy, it’s just the last game the Pokémon was in. So I could transfer a, say, Eevee from Gen 6, throw it into Home, and send it to Violet, and when I bring it out of Violet it’ll say it’s from Violet.
I have sent in multiple complaints. They need to either make Pokémon names changeable or they need to delete Pokémon/Ban Pokémon with these hate speech names.
Trying to trade for Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire is a nightmare. I got a guy named “Blaines” who names them all “HtlrwasRight”. Sick to death of mods at this point.
The original idea for not changing nicknames, from what I heard, came from the idea that a nickname given to a Pokemon is special and shouldn't be changed due to that. However, it's become painfully obvious this block is just being used for exploiting and permanently tainting a Pokemon now a days. The GTS just needs to wipe a nickname when its sent into be traded and let users rename the Pokemon.
I went onto GTS to fill out my Pokédex Decided to just gen the ones I needed after 5 minutes of browsing. Everyone wants impossible Pokémon and the app just lets them request it Who gives a shit about nicknames
It was probably caught in Scarlet. Just the one who decided to named it like that brought it to Violet, changed its name to Htlr. The one icon showing the game the mons came from only registered the last game it was in. So if a Vivillon was caught in Kalos for example, was brought to Scarlet, then it will be registered as coming from Scarlet. The only way to know where it originated from is to look at its caught location tab, *AFTER* you have succesfully obtained it from the trade.
This video is actually pretty funny to me since I got a random shiny, lvl 100, NOT HACKED sylveon from someone in pokemon home randomly. Great video though
I think the worst part about the GTS is that it allows people to ask for impossible combos. Like Furfou but a different form, which isn't possible because any Furfou transferred in reverts to base form. Then there is the impossible level 1 pokemon, I mean some of the level 1 pokemon are becomming possible because of Pokémon Go, but still. I just wanna search and not have to scroll for a minute on every mon I wanna search for only to see EVERY single one is impossible to trade.

I use the gts to farm shinys for extra legendarys/starters in special balls ive mass breeded. In one month i have over 200 shinys and id say less then 20% of them are genned/hacked. I am hesitatnt about some of the non english ones cuz u cant tell if the names are offensive or not so i usually just look up the poke names in that lamguage and if the characters match up i onow its all good.
The easiest change would simply be to scrub the nickname of the Pokemon when put on the GTS. You would still need to worry about OT names but it wouldn't be anywhere near as bad. Just have the Pokemon name revert back to it's default name in whatever language the Pokemon is in. There really should be an option to report impossible to fulfil trades though, or at the very least be able to give a thumbs up/thumbs down to the trade based on if you perceive it as a good or bad offer.
Honestly, I wish that there were some rules for the GTS, something like Legendary Pokemon can only be traded for other Legendary Pokemon, same thing for Mythical, Pseudo-Legendary and Starters they can only be traded for Pokemon in the same category. Then the next rule, equivalent level trades, meaning no level 1 for a level 100, level 1 to 10 is ok, same for level 91 to 100, and others in the same level brackets.
I feel like setting strict interactions like that is not a good thing. You can always deposit a Pokémon, and unless it’s a Switch era Legendary, you can probably get a legit equivalent Pokémon no problem. The good trades will just be scooped up quickly. But if you’re able to play the GTS you can definitely trade up, and I don’t think it’s fair to shut that down if someone’s willing to make the trade.
@@Pandacalifornia I guess, it's just that, some time back I was looking to get an Alolan Golam for Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, and people were asking for insane things like legendary Pokemon or fully evolved starters (Charizard at level 17! He doesn't even evolve until 36!!), it just pissed me off.
@@timothymcdermott2818 Another thing is a lot of underleveled Pokémon have been available, mostly through Pokémon Go, but also through other means, and it’s hard to keep track of each one individually. I never even bother searching on the Home GTS. I always just make trade requests, and as long as they're reasonable someone will trade me pretty quickly.
Stuff always gets through, unfortunately... they are really bad with impossible Pokeball combinations and impossible travel locations, and as long as a Pokémon's stats are legal, it doesn't even know, but that last one, Idk if I can blame Gamefreak for due to how impossible that last one is to detect.
I don't like hacking in general, but if Genners were exclusively making them identical, the Pokemon world would objectively be a better place. So, ya, I don't really mind legal genners that much. Still wish they wouldn't, as we are supposed to train our Pokemon, that is kind of the job description, but illegal genners are objectively worse and add 100x more gunk to this game. @@ChicagoMel23
The name situation is pretty messed up, I'm sure it's probably just people doing it as a joke for attention or if it's done through surprise trade then the ones who get the pokemon feel ashamed of having it and wanna trade it away. Definitely been an issue since XY. The pokemon requested in return as also always been an issue and it's why i believe there needs to be restrictions, make it so the pokemon can only be set to the lowest possible level that a pokemon game allows rather than everyone wanting a lv1 all the time and remove the ability for form exclusive trades (looking at you people who want specific Furfrou fur patterns because Home removes the fur pattern)
Problem with level restrictions is a lot of underleveled Pokémon are actually legitimately obtainable though Pokémon GO or randomly though some arbitrary method in an older game, so it’s really hard to try to find the case for every individual Pokémon. Some people actually collect those, so it’s not fair to shut that down because of a few bad apples.
The GTS on UltraSun and UltraMoon is definitely having issues with me, whenever i try to search for legendaries, my whole game system freezes and i have to shut the whole thing down, i think because my games are old
It's not because of "your" games being old; they aren't older than anyone else's. It's because of people intentionally loading that particular GTS with mons w/ bad data that causes a crash simply from attempting to load the data, meaning even just scrolling by it in the GTS list will cause your game/system to crash. An earlier video from the guy that posted this one also mentions and outlines this same issue.
@@Philip027 hmm, well, whenever I try to search for certain pokemon on the GTS with UltraSun and UltraMoon, my game freezes and somehow crashes so I have to shut the whole thing done completely, I guess I shouldn't try to use the GTS anymore if that's the case
@@jameswheeler6079 If you have a cracked 3DS (custom firmware), there is a way to get an unofficial patch for the gen 7 games that prevents those crashes from occurring. Unless you have that as an option, I would just stay off the gen 7 GTS. It's about to become unusable at the end of March, anyway. Also slight correction to what I said above; it isn't because of mons being uploaded with bad data; it's because of bad trainer/player data. You will sometimes see this sort of thing in the PSS if you look around at trainer profiles; some will have names with abnormal characters or invalid profile images. The mons themselves (obscenities and potential illegitimacy aside) are probably "fine" and won't necessarily destroy your save if you trade for them, although the trades may also just not go through and may lock you out of the GTS temporarily.
bukake is a food that is covered in sauce, such as soba bukake. it has however taken on a different meaning, where something else is covered in a different "type of sauce"
I use Pokémon home quite a lot and I’ve never seen names that bad. Have seen a couple Throat GOATs tho. Also disappointed to see the wanting unobtainable pokemon trend coming back. I thought it was kinda weird though that they were using it on a raging bolt. Usually you see them do that on a shiny pokemon to flex since shiny pokemon are rare, not a legendary you can easily get in the game
I feel like you can deposit any trade with item Pokémon from raids to trade for Kingdra (you can also just get Kingdra from raids). Deposit goes a long way, decent trades get picked up quickly, so that’s why you rarely see them.
Honestly I think the solution for future games is they should just remove nicknames for traded mons unless you're trading with someone in your friend list. That way people can name their monsters foolish things like Hentai and even give those to friends as a joke but without there being any incentive to be prejudice just to "troll" strangers. I think the only issue with this would obviously be the OT is still there and those can also be slurs but at least most people largely ignores those unlike ya know... the name given to the actual monster they will potentially be using throughout their journey.
@@Naixatloz There’s too many, not feasible unless you hack, in which case you are not rewarding them. Like Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire are already the most valuable things on the GTS, trading them anything else is not a reward.
I've been using the home gts on and off for several months now trying to find a few things here and there for shinydex purposes. Nevermind the nicknames, there are also tons of genned or suspicious at the very least mons everywhere. The biggest offender however seems to be literally anything in a cherish ball. I have several legitimate event mons and for shits and giggles, I've tried to offer/deposit them. Not only will home have them grayed out on the selection screen, if you do still try to offer or deposit one, they are flagged and will give you a message that states "this is a special Pokémon and cannot be traded" type message much like if you try and search for a mythical. So this leads me to believe that quite literally everything on the gts in a cherish ball has been hacked or the ot hacked in cherish balls and they don't trigger the event flag that would normally prevent them from being tradeable.
I've been using this version of the GTS and things are annoying. One annoying thing is if forms are an option, when you're looking for a Pokemon and you don't met the prerequisites IT SHOULD NOT SHOW UP. Now Furfrou is an amazing Pokemon because its very sought for right now.
Back in the ORAS GTS in like 2015-16, I saw a shiny Diancie nicknamed "C*mOnMyT*ts" that was impossible to trade for so yeah, the GTS has been having these problems for years.
I checked Pokémon Home recently, and the offensive nicknamed gouging fire and raging bolt are still there, as are the impossible pharaoh form furfrou requests, the one that wants an alolan golem that they want into bdsp (again, impossible) and the cherish ball raging bolt and gouging fire.
I find it pretty unfortunate that the most recent GTS is flooded with tons of hacked Pokemon and Pokemon with offencive nicknames. Within the last few hours I put my Iron Crown and Iron Boulder onto the GTS for Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire, and while I did get the two Pokemon, both had the exact same original trainer and were blatantly hacked. To make this just a bit worse, I only opted to use Home so that I wouldn't have to go out of my way to register Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire to it, so I wouldn't have even gotten the hacked ones if Pokemon Home automatically registered Pokedex data from Switch games that have connected to it, like how it was with Bank (and how it was when connecting Home to Bank for the first time).
How some of these people have Raging Bolt caught in Violet? Is there a way to catch it in Violet because as far as I know you can only catch it in Scarlet?
What really happens is the good trades would always be done very fast leaving the trash piling up on the GTS. And since there are trash trades people get a very bad impression of the GTS, specially those asking impossible Pokémon.

“Oh so you want this shiny reshiram (biggest flex ever frfr)
Then gimme a german hisuian electrode that can be put in let’s go”
we often use furfrou as a sort of trade token.

Also it’s on mobile for convenience it takes like five seconds to do
@@madnessarcade7447 inconvenience* you pay for home prem on switch just to use it on phone? thats backwards, and you cant be in switch and mobile at the same time. the only pokemon game on the mobile is GO, everything else is on switch. if youre playing pokemon and need something from any of the trade systems it should be accessible from switch version. theres no reason it should be exclusive to mobile version. i do like that i can check my trades anywhere at anytime, but i shouldnt need to get my phone if im already on my switch, which was logged in but now i have to close that so i can open the mobile app, then reopen the switch version after. its unnecessary.

Same thing happend to me!
Same. It is very annoying that I can't do trades cause of impossible requests
@@samuelunknown1940 now that I think about it, there's always been "asking for a level 1-10 legendary Pokemon" asks, but because of Pokemon GO those are actually possible now. So people trying to annoy people looking for trades now have a new way to piss us off...

Btw, Home does have a punishment and filter system already, but there's always going to be a few names that get through those no matter how strict it is.
It's mostly stuff that it spelt wrong or with different characters.
I didn’t even know there was a punishment system, if it even exists. I traded various Pokemon with offensive names just to test it, and I got nothing.
I honestly think they should just let you rename pokemon if your not the OT
Yep
BuT tHe NicKnaMe wAs SpeCial To thE OT
I agree fully. I have a glaceon that I nicknamed and now I wish I could change it. Mainly because I don't like what it translates to
the split is probably done to prevent people from jailbreaking the switch and injecting mons via GTS spoofing
To bad you still can
Dawg, do you know how easy it is to mod a Switch? Hacking in Pokémon Home sees as "legitimate" isn't hard, just like modding a Switch.
@@orangeaurora Thank you for the clarification.
And to prove my point, NOT EVEN AN HOUR LATER do we have 2 anti-jewish raging bolts and a hard r gouging fire. Like, wut?
We can change nicknames of traded mons now????
Yep. It's been a thing for a while.
@@DrawciaGleam02No. You can only give a nickname to a traded pokemon one time... *Only if it lacks a nickname.*
And just in SwSh and SV iirc.
Another issue is that ppl will ask for furfrous at 91-100 lv
Pretty sure furfrou transferred from USUM maintains its form
Yup, people will ask for Furfrou with a Pharaoh Trim, which is only obtainable if you play Pokemon Go in Egypt.
People also love asking for female bloodmoon ursaluna now too. Not sure why things like that are even allowed to be selected.

I hate how i want to make a trade with a common pokemon like a riolu and they want a Furfrou from a region thats far
That's not the worst part... the worst part is that specific trims are REAL LIFE based locations and must use pokemon go to get them. All because you can't get those trims in Gen 6/7, transfer to bank then transfer to home to keep. Only from pokemon go to home they are kept
@@nobody-xh6ii dont get me started to how many ppl want Reine de Trim and the Pharoah trim

What makes the furfrou issue worse is that they're requesting level 100 ones, and the only way to get trimmed furfrou into home is through go, where pokemon can be level 50 max, which means that until legends z-a those trades are likely impossible
If the naming issue goes back to the 3ds, its really surprising they still allow pokemon to keep their nicknames when traded.
Z-A bringing back furfrou is going to be a godsend because of this. i swear, as someone who once didn’t have online, this is hell.
Everybody wants a damn Pharaoh Trim Furfrou which can only be obtained in Egypt while playing Pokémon go
the alolan forms in BDSP i annoying because i could get golem at that level using pokemon go but the BDSP requirement makes it impossible.
I know somebody who went to one of the "Websites" a pokemon was nicknamed and it ended up being some sort of hijacker that stole his discord account.

My guess is that the mons are made by trolls to smear their image.

alolan golem can't go into bdsp tho. only regular golem can
I actually have had some success with the GTS on Home.
Thanks for clearing that up!
I have sent in multiple complaints. They need to either make Pokémon names changeable or they need to delete Pokémon/Ban Pokémon with these hate speech names.

Wait you said the Htlr raging bolt was caught in.. Violet??
It was probably caught in Scarlet. Just the one who decided to named it like that brought it to Violet, changed its name to Htlr. The one icon showing the game the mons came from only registered the last game it was in.
So if a Vivillon was caught in Kalos for example, was brought to Scarlet, then it will be registered as coming from Scarlet. The only way to know where it originated from is to look at its caught location tab, *AFTER* you have succesfully obtained it from the trade.

Insane how almost 2 decades later you can still ask for impossible pokemon... Technology is incredible.

Usually the point of genning is for the mons to be identical to legit ones. Dumb genners cause issues
The mons themselves (obscenities and potential illegitimacy aside) are probably "fine" and won't necessarily destroy your save if you trade for them, although the trades may also just not go through and may lock you out of the GTS temporarily.
never knew homes gts was that bad. i never saw nicknames like those when ive used it in the past.😬
I hadn't either until super recently!
bukake is a food that is covered in sauce, such as soba bukake.
it has however taken on a different meaning, where something else is covered in a different "type of sauce"
Bukake is from japanese pornorgraphy.
I wanted a Kingdra, they wanted a Bloodmoon Ursaluna, yeah not happening.
Edit: Swore I typed Kingdra but the first time it autocorrected to Kingler?
I feel like you can deposit any trade with item Pokémon from raids to trade for Kingdra (you can also just get Kingdra from raids). Deposit goes a long way, decent trades get picked up quickly, so that’s why you rarely see them.
The real problem is when you look up a Pokémon and it freezes and you have to reset the app. Why is nobody talking about this?
Sort of why character classes exist to be able to script the characters.
the GTS is why i hate furfrou
Mainly because those trims are really life region locked/event locked and can only come from pokemon go...
And the reason why you couldn't even get those trims from X and Y is because it was temporal :/
It's getting ridiculous. I saw some disgusting names on Gouging Fire.
...at least Hentei was funny. The other ones were just sad.
I wanna clean up the GTS and get some of those offensive ones and release 'em
Noble goal issue is people would probably replenish them
I've thought about that, but I don't want to reward the people who are putting them up, y'know?
Yeah true@@Naixatloz
@@Naixatloz There’s too many, not feasible unless you hack, in which case you are not rewarding them. Like Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire are already the most valuable things on the GTS, trading them anything else is not a reward.
Maybe pokemon should take away that nickname function....
I wish they let you trade mythical Pokémon on the home GTS
herpes necrozma was kinda funny tbf
I rember looking for some basic ass pokemon and there weren't any
I didnt even know it had this feature
At least it's still functional
I’ve used it multiple times and when I deposit a Pokémon I always get a response back very very quickly
It does its job
I enjoy it
Back in the ORAS GTS in like 2015-16, I saw a shiny Diancie nicknamed "C*mOnMyT*ts" that was impossible to trade for so yeah, the GTS has been having these problems for years.
It’s definitely getting worse and worse recently
Didn't know about these issues in pokemon home but I'm sad to see that they still exist
Do you know if Pokemon like huntail or kingdra can be hacked
@@E10Catpretty much anything can be hacked. I've seen chandelure, snom, applin, scizor, lapras, malamar, dragonite, and a whole bunch of others
2:52 just a french name nothing wrong here
How some of these people have Raging Bolt caught in Violet?
Is there a way to catch it in Violet because as far as I know you can only catch it in Scarlet?
I think it just means Violet was the last game it’s been in. Most of them are hacked though.
How is Furienblitz "inappropriate"? That's literally Raging Bolt's German name.
I guess is hard to find none offensive german names.
@kevdog im glad someone is addressing this because i used gts to complete and can only smh
What really happens is the good trades would always be done very fast leaving the trash piling up on the GTS.
And since there are trash trades people get a very bad impression of the GTS, specially those asking impossible Pokémon.
