    Now, those are some nice-looking images from that camera. Also I was not expecting the leader to be left out from that rewind, a nice touch.

      Thanks Alex - I definitely was not expecting that leader out feature either - could make for fun double exposures too.

    Another great video by that old camera guy. I'm excited about the Pentax that's supposed to be coming out. Saving my pennies for that one!

      Thanks - Yeah, a lot of us are looking forward to that Pentax.

    Idk, I kinda feel like "oh it's another one of those".
    It was great to see the m35/38 releases as the options for new film cameras was dwindling, but I'm curious as to why Kodak is continuing to release more near-disposable cameras with those two models still in production.
    I guess it comes down to making money from the licensing or something.
    Your images still have that charm though. 👍

      There’s definitely no shortage of Kodak branded cameras in this class. If a motor wind is important to someone, this is the one to get.

    5:22 is so rad, the lens is definitely a little mushy but it's still fun. Good stuff man

    Looks like a fun little LoFi camera 📷 ideally suited to those wanting to dip their toes into analogue photography for the first time, without having to spend a lot.

      Yes, very user friendly for a new film shooter

    Hi Old Camera Guy! Great to see you as always!! Would you be able to make a video comparing all of the contemporary Kodak cameras you have including both H35s? I’d like to know the differences and how you feel about each in comparison to each other! Thanks!

    • @theoldcameraguy
      @theoldcameraguy  6 месяцев назад +4

      The main difference on all these full frame Kodak point and shoots would be the styling. The M35, M38, i60, Ultra F9, and S88 are all around f9 or f10 and the lens is around 31mm. I haven’t seen any difference in the quality of the images. There are significant differences between the H35 and H35N half frame models, which I detailed in a previous video ruclips.net/video/FLIoNiJyJW0/видео.htmlsi=SjKlAs-15dTFrKDf

    You got some nice shots there. This camera might be fun, but I don't see why someone should choose this over the Kodak Ektar, which looks better (more vintage) and shoots half-frame

    • @theoldcameraguy
      @theoldcameraguy  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks - I prefer this one just because I take most of my shots in landscape orientation, but half frame is definitely more economical.

    Ok, I like the motor and and the fact that it leaves the leader out. The last time I bought a point and shoot, so/so camera was in the 90’s and it cost me $80 and it wasn’t that great

    Nice video Dave! Images aren’t bad for this camera. Does the film winding motor also run by the same AA battery that operates the flash? 🤔

    • @theoldcameraguy
      @theoldcameraguy  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks - Yes, the AA battery powers both.

    Nice. The images came out pretty sharp for a plastic type of camera. I like the fact the leader satys out after rewind. That is good for double exposures. I also like the fact the viewfinder is centered over the lens. What is the price?

    Kodak are certainly wringing as much out of this cheap plastic camera format as possible. The motor wind is a nice touch but at £70 here in the UK I think I'll stick with my Agfa and use my thumb 😁. A good, honest review Dave and some nice images.

    I dunno... $52 seems expensive for what you get.

      M35 will give the same quality photos at half the price. The S88 may be good for someone who is new to film cameras and are nervous about threading/loading the film correctly.
