Yes, there are 55 NEW characters in this one (plus some "stock Snorkers"). I had someone think Megan from the Christmas video was a man, which to be fair, she had a moustache. So I thought "As I need to differentiate between 36 spies, you might as well lose the tache." I have long hair Snorkers, then short hair Snorkers, then I lose the tache but keep the sideburns, then I shave the sideburns for the women!
It's getting that way! Once you start with a Bond film then you need certain scenes... the gun bit at the start, an action prologue, Moneypenny, M, Q, a bit of travel, escape, fights, seduction, explosions and a joke at the end, followed by a credit sequence with sexy silhouettes! Fortunately the game is complex enough that I can fit all these things in around it! Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, it grew and grew and grew... and I have 36 files for each of the spies, walking about, shooting and getting shot... just in case I needed them! Glad you liked it!
Once you're dressed up, doing an extra scene is easy. For this one I tried to film each character doing their part from different angles, so you had Funnymoney facing left, right and forward and so on. Gives you more options to keep the screen changing!
I love that in the Snorkers universe, the Norwegians are still panicking, as if Tim Rodgers himself was still menacing the populace. Also, how on earth did the Middile-Aged Schoolboy get mixed up with the KGB? I suspect it's from his association with Arthur Daley before he got lost in time and space, but I can't be sure.
Tim Rodgers AND the price of booze. I expect Middle-aged Schoolboy probably thought it was some kind of after-school club or something that he could put on his National Record of Achievement. It's important to have logic and consistency when building a cinematic universe!
Wow, what an epic watch. Hats off, Agent Snorkers; that was hugely entertaining. The game itself was way more involved than I expected from a type-in game and all I could think of as my head started to spin from all the agent interaction rules was 'Yep, this is a Mike Singleton game alright'. 😅
It even comes with a keyboard overlay! A proper strategy game in the Mike Singleton mould. The interaction between agents got really interestign. When I first tried my Snorkified version, agent Echo was a double for the KGB and Uncle as a double for MI6, and you could give 5 orders a turn. Both sides routed an order through them, so Echo told Moscow something, then Uncle told London that Echo had told Moscow something... then Echo told Moscow that Uncle had told London that Echo had told Moscow something... until the stack blew! He made amazing games!

Smiley should have told Agent Five to become AWAKE not ACTIVE, then she would have gone to Warsaw as ordered and the KGB may not have suspected her. Poor Agent Five...
What an absolutely wonderful video, and I can't imagine the time it must have taken to plan, shoot and edit it all together, and all in the amazing Snorkers style. You do realise this has raised your bar to insane levels :)
Thank you! For each individual spy, 1 minute getting the outfit right, then 3 minutes of standing, walking, shooting and dying, 1 minute taking the outfit off. I also gave each one an individual badge as well as their own personality. So 5 minutes * 36 spies is 3 hours. For each talking character I did their part of the scene 3 times, or tried to (I forgot one), left, right, and facing, and also back of the head. Agent 48 forgot his glasses at some points but I was not going to do a reshoot! I've been working on the game, and the video, probably since October. A lot of planning, and making props, and images too... like the corridor with those bloody bricks that Middle-aged Teenage Snorkers runs down... What next.... I think there are 59 characters in this, if you include the "stock Snorkers" ones...

You know, Peter Jackson got his start making his own prop guns & muzzle flash effects for his own production, Bad Taste. I take it you’ll be directing the Lord of the Rings remakes, James? The red bearded QL was an especially nice touch. 😄
Yes, GordyGlasgow was making lots of punny suggestions on Twitter and Sir Clive as "QL" was just genius. I was thinking about prop guns.... when Robert Rodrigues was making "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" he ended up using solid rubber guns and then doing all the effects digitally. And you can't really tell. It's amazing how a little light and a bit of sound elevate it!
Yeah, as J R R Tolkien said... "the tale grew in the telling". My first attempt at the Snorkified version had EVERY agent in Moscow be secretly working for MI6. That would have been legendary... but then there was a bug in the code. So it's KGB 3, MI6 nil. Time to watch "Comrade Dad"... Glad you enjoyed it!

Hooray! This video has green screen AND rotoscoping (as I needed George Smiley quickly and recorded him on a Friday afternoon in a coffee break, so just stood in the conservatory). Also Midjourney, holiday photos, Pexels, original ZX Spectrum artwork, Paint3D stuff, new props, stop motion... I did the lot! You can tell where the lights were running out of power with some of the agents as they get a little flickery, but it's not too bad. There was a LOT of filming... Hopefully Miss Funnymoney gets her memory back. Poor M doesn't know where the sugar is...
Best thing you've ever produced! and a really interesting and complex looking game. feels like one of those games that would take ages to learn, so its great that you worked it out and managed to improve it. oh and btw those were some sexy fingers on the keyboard 🤣
Thank you sir, I thnk this will be tough to beat! It took a few goes to work it out, especially as I'd missed out a line which detected a report, so no-one ever found anything! Tracking the professor is tough, as you know where he was 4 moves ago. In that time he could be anywhere, with the proviso that he will never go to London or Moscow, and won't immediately double back. Those fingers were great, much better than my fingers on a piece of paper!

I always liked the "action bit" at the start of the Bond film. The one at the start of Diamonds Are Forever is great... just Bond hitting people and asking "Where's Blofeld?".
True to the books, kind of. Well, Lady Anne was described as being very attractive, so Maria definitely counts. They missed out on the whole saucepan-lid bikini thing in the Gary Oldman version though, which was a shame. If it was the 90s then George would have been married to Jet, of course (who was previously Tyris Flare from Golden Axe until she escaped to the "real world" at the end of the game. It's a funny old game, the spy business. At least George has his raves to go to....

That was "1980s Acid house rave funeral", IIRC :) Some of the other pictures were stock images, some were from holiday, some were from around Norwich but edited... and I drew some too!

Sorry abou that. I was going for a sort of teletype effect based off the character being printed, but I clearly went too high and too loud. You shouldn't hear it now until right at the end, after the Grand Finale.
I'm almost tempted to thumbs down this on principle of using the wilhelm scream, which I will make illegal when I am king of the world. but on the other hand, this looks like a game that might be fun, on the spectrum?
Also available on other platforms! I needed so many screams that after using all six of the Wilhelms, and playing some backwards, I decided to make my own (which I use in the Action Prologue!). It's not a FAST game, but it's interesting, trying to work out who you can trust and who you can't...

Lol! I use balloons. A couple of balloons shoved up there does the job. if you want believable then don't inflate them too much, but then you want to have a good silhoutte so a couple of puffs each does the job. £1 bag from the Co-Op!

The Editor lets me change music, but not mute a section, unless it has been copyright claimed. I've got headphones on now and you're 100% right.
