A German brand I can recommend: Labello "Cherry Shine". It's a truly hydrating tinted lip balm, and the colour applies evenly (not patchy at all!) and is buildable.
Yes to tinted balms all the way! My fav this year is definitely Nars afterglow lipbalm - "Turbo". It has such a flattering, buildable red and it moistures my lips nicely.

I just got the Billie (the razor brand) tinted lip balm in Rhubarb. I absolutely love it. The color is pretty and subtle, and it doesn't have any beeswax (which I have a sensitivity to and is surprisingly hard to avoid).
What I loved to do in the last weeks is putting on my fav Lipbalm and then taking the smallest bit of red eyeshaddow and blend that on my lipps!! It‘s the perfect natural look for my lipps😊

I think you would like the French Girl Le Lip Tint. I have it in Rose Noire but they have plenty of other great shades. Minty, kind of waxy so very hydrating and has the perfect finish: kind of matte but does not look dry!
Tinted balms are the best; balmy so I can care for my poor lips, but with just enough colour so I feel like I'm putting something on without doing a face of makeup!

I mainly use the slightly pink classic chapstick in cherry and a clear Carmex tube also in cherry, usually I use them together. I find the Carmex tube makes my lips glossy and the classic chapstick is just the balm I always use. And sometimes I wear Balm Dotcom in... cherry... if I want to like dress up a bit. There is a noticeable trend in the flavors I go for haha.
I love the tarte rainforest of the sea tinted lip balms. I actually panned through one. It has a nice smell and slightly minty feeling but the moisture and hydration is divine.
Nivea Fruity Shine is my first lip balm when I was a child (around 12 years old) and I remember feeling so “adult” with that shiny, sticky, and red tinted balm! 😂

LanoLips will forever be my favorite and forever hold a special place in my heart. They are the very first "high end" balm and colored balm I ever purchased. Now I pretty much have all of their skincare and they're become my most repurchase skincare items (facial cleaners, Aussie Flyer Mask and Vitamin E Day Cream, along with pretty much all of their lip products that aren't scented/flavored. For some reason I don't care for those. Just the original 101 Balm and all of the colored ones.)
I made my own tinted lip balm by combining the last remaining bit of one of my all time favourite red lipsticks (Hex by Urban Decay) with some lip balm I already owned. It has become my go-to product. 😂
I also like Chapstick tinted lip oil. Nice tinted color with glossy look but not sticky texture. Good for a “no makeup makeup” (or just purely no makeup) day! But it’s not super hydrating. If my lips are really chapped, I would still use the nivea tinted lip balm
Great video! It’s full of useful information and gets straight to the point. I always love wearing a sheer and moisturizing lip balm during the winter time, especially this year. Since we have to go out with a mask on all the time, tinted lip balms won’t cause a huge mess compared to lipsticks 😊
Burts Bees lip shimmer in Cherry is so pretty on the lips. I saw it featured in an ITG article years ago and it's been my favourite Burts Bees product ever since! I also really like the Dr. Paw Paw red balm, but it doesn't stay on very long. For the most part I create my own tinted experience where I'll put on a really thick colourless balm (like Nuxe or By Terry) and choose any lipstick I want to go over top, it has a more lasting effect that way. I do have the Lanolips in Rhubarb but i can taste the SPF in the back of my mouth (bitter?) so I'll look out for the peach version next time I think. Does anyone else ever have this problem with sunscreen lip products!? lol
I’m loving Dr. Lipp Tints. They are fragrance free and 100% natural. Super nourishing for these dry months. My current favorite is the Elderberry Pigment.
I've been really loving the nivea fruity shine in the blackberry version, since I prefer cool-toned shades on myself - it's the perfect comfortable way to add a purpley-berry-red tint to my lips that's just the right opacity for me personally, plus it tastes kinda nice too lol
You just got me hooked on the em cosmetic lip cushion. I love me a good vintage rose (or most rose shades for that matter) lip balm. I just ordered one and am waiting for it to ship. Can't wait.
Just received a lip balm order and still watching this.... The lip balm addiction is real! Also suggest you try Innisfree tinted lip balms or just their balms in general. Not a wide range of colors but the red one actually leaves a tint so you'll never be left with bare lips. The formula is great too and really heals chapped lips I'm lacking a brownish nude tinted lip balm that goes on dark lips so I would love to see some of your picks. Sometimes pink is too bright and red is too flashy.
I tried out the Pat McGrath mini lip fetish trio this year and loved the shade Flesh 3. I think I saw it on your channel first, a while back! It actually puts a visible tint on my natural lip colour. I often find my lips aren’t the best vehicle to carry sheer tinted colours. However, I do adore seeing you share your love of these tinted balms! xx

Items you reach for because they are not only excellent products but also because their packaging makes you joyful to see & hold. Something you could easily see yourself giving as a gift. I know for me Lisa Eldridge’s makeup are both absolutely beautiful to look at and to apply. Seeing the new Byredo’s eyeshadow packaging looks stunning and would make a nice gift as well. Think I agree with Millie here Elena - the texture might be a bit too thick to apply on cheeks 🌸 You could really pat it down / tap it into the skin to help take away the shine, but doing that probably wouldn't leave much colour behind x
I understand and respect your boycott of Glossier, but I was guilty of buying a single fig balm in the bf sale. I couldn't miss out! I already had one, just had to stock up as it's limited edition and I love the scent!
I haven't called it a boycott - I don't believe in cancel culture, I just think it takes time to demonstrate change so I hope they'll share some of their progress publicly soon 👍 (I'm also in Australia so as well as waiting to see what happens, I'm physically not able to access their products for the time being) x

I've been really loving the nivea fruity shine in the blackberry version, since I prefer cool-toned shades on myself - it's the perfect comfortable way to add a purpley-berry-red tint to my lips that's just the right opacity for me personally, plus it tastes kinda nice too lol

Also suggest you try Innisfree tinted lip balms or just their balms in general. Not a wide range of colors but the red one actually leaves a tint so you'll never be left with bare lips. The formula is great too and really heals chapped lips
I'm lacking a brownish nude tinted lip balm that goes on dark lips so I would love to see some of your picks. Sometimes pink is too bright and red is too flashy.

I tried out the Pat McGrath mini lip fetish trio this year and loved the shade Flesh 3. I think I saw it on your channel first, a while back! It actually puts a visible tint on my natural lip colour. I often find my lips aren’t the best vehicle to carry sheer tinted colours. However, I do adore seeing you share your love of these tinted balms! xx

I have a request💕. I would love to see you do once a year~ Matilda’s most favorite elegant packaging awards. Items you reach for because they are not only excellent products but also because their packaging makes you joyful to see & hold. Something you could easily see yourself giving as a gift. I know for me Lisa Eldridge’s makeup are both absolutely beautiful to look at and to apply. Seeing the new Byredo’s eyeshadow packaging looks stunning and would make a nice gift as well. I know you get to see and hold so many new products a year, you could do us a favor to show us what would be very elegant gifts to give. Hope you will consider, thank you!

I have Burt's bees one in zinnia and it gives you this summer look, I love the formula. I bought Canmake after watching one of your videos and I really like it. I can recommend too cool for school dinoplatz lip balm in rabbit food also.

i find it very sticky on the skin
Think I agree with Millie here Elena - the texture might be a bit too thick to apply on cheeks 🌸 You could really pat it down / tap it into the skin to help take away the shine, but doing that probably wouldn't leave much colour behind x

I understand and respect your boycott of Glossier, but I was guilty of buying a single fig balm in the bf sale. I couldn't miss out! I already had one, just had to stock up as it's limited edition and I love the scent!
I haven't called it a boycott - I don't believe in cancel culture, I just think it takes time to demonstrate change so I hope they'll share some of their progress publicly soon 👍 (I'm also in Australia so as well as waiting to see what happens, I'm physically not able to access their products for the time being) x
