[4K] Devil's Lake State Park, WI US - Devil’s Doorway trail in early spring

Devil's Lake State Park is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, which is about a three hours drive from Chicago or only an hour from Madison, Wisconsin.
I visited Devil's Lake State Park in early spring in April, 2023. It was a little bit chilly in early April. The lake was still frozen during the visit and the trees weren't quite awake from the winter, but this didn't stop the hikers.
To see the iconic Devil's Doorway, I parked at the North Shore Chateau parking lot to hike on the East Bluff trail. The hike is moderate with beautiful rocks, big and small, viewed during the hike. The hike time approximate an hour or more depend on your experience. Key attractions along the hike include the Devil's Doorway rock formation, Balanced Rock, and spectacular views of Devil's Lake.
