You don't have to go far from downtown Chicago to enjoy foliage in the forest. The city of Chicago has many forest preserves and trails around the city.
From the Magnificent Mile, travel up to the northwest side of Chicago about 12 miles to see some of Chicago's nature areas. You can take either I-90 E or the scenic route on Lake Shore Dr go to Caldwell Woods, located on W Devon Ave & N Nagle Ave in the city of Chicago. Here you will find beautiful trails that let you escape from the busy city and find some peace of the nature & wildlife animals such as deer, squirrels, birds, rabbits, chipmunks, and other wildlife.
