2001 Western Conference First Round Game 1, April 22, 2001 | Opening game of the historic 2001 postseason run by the Lakers. After scoring only three points and suffering a hip injury in the first half, Kobe would drop 25 points in the second half after it was uncertain that he would even return to the game. Kobe ended his night with 28 points, 6 rebounds & 7 assists in a balanced team effort to propel the Lakers to 106-93 win over the Blazers.
