Today I try Beating Minecraft but you start in the nether! The idea of the challenge is to try Beating Minecraft Starting in the NEW Nether! and my goals in this video is to escape the nether by finding enough obsidian to build a nether portal and escape to the over world! This way I can once and for all answer the question: Can I Beat Minecraft, but Starting in the NEW Nether? Enjoy!

-Flint and steel
-lava with flammable material(nether wood don’t burn, but u can make items. Flammable blocks like composters. Also some non flammable blocks will not burn but will still catch fire from lava, wich is all we need. Examples that would work of thoses are: crafting table, barrel, chest.
-ghast explosions
-Blaze shots
-fire charges(wich he literally had in inventory whole time he was trying get iron for flint n steel…)
-lightning(although that doesn’t apply when in nether)
-bed explosion(he could make wool from bartering strings)
-Using a respawn anchor in overworld
If you think of any ways I forgot, please let me know so I add them :D

You can also use a fire charge to light a portal. It works just like a flint and steel, but it's a one time use unless you have multiple fire charges

I'm doing Minecraft but I stay in the nether, I can make like three portals and ignite pretty easily, but I chose to stay in the nether
Edit: So, if you look in the comments theres a lot of people being salty, the reason they are being salty is because they think I'm bragging. Let me just say, no, bragging was not in my intentions. I stated this comment because I thought it fit the topic. The only reason I'm making this edit is because my inbox is constantly flooded with salty insults and notifications, which I find hilarious due to the irony, this reply section is the definition of youtube. I'm glad to see the aggressiveness is still in touch! Oh, also, when I said I had three diamonds replying to someone who told me I can use blackstone as a substitute for cobble, I was only stating the fact that I'm far past that point.

Doesn't matter for you but ghasts can also enlight portals. That way, if you get stranded in the nether, you simply need to search for a ghast. No need for trading and searching for fortresses.
To get a bunch of food in the nether you can craft the bone blocks into Bone meal the use that on a brown or red mushroom and get one of those big mushrooms and break it to get lost of mushrooms. Also hoglins are afraid of warped fungus so carrying a few of them with you to place down if you are getting chased by too many of them is a good idea

I’ve had this idea for a while, Wadzee. What if you beat minecraft but you couldn’t attack mobs? Ergo you’d have to use iron golems and dogs, which means you can’t even fight the enderdragon. You can however break end crystals of course.
Wadzee make a series of beating minecraft but only underground,you clear a whole tree to get some wood and some sapplings and you just try to survive underworld

There's something i've wanted mojang to add to this nether update for a while
something to help with finding destroyed portals, i dunno a nether eye or something, like how the eye of ender helps find an end portal the nether eye could lead you to a destroyed portal, and it's fire resistant so if it drops into lava or fire or something it won't disappear it will just float like netherrite armor
Man the nether has so much stuff now. i remember when the nether didn't have biomes or even fortresses. It was just a place to go for fast-travel. How far it's come

Well I guess I've just been unlucky. The portal would just be in a small room and I'd have to mine quite a bit. Never have I spawned in an open nether.

This challenge is easy
Spawn in-> get wood for bench and sword &pick -> get enough gold to make boots sword and pick-> make gold bars->trade with piglins to get obsidian (enough for a portal) and fire charges -> make the portal light it with the fire charge

Watching this in 2023. Crazy that he’s approaching 300k at this point and is at 4.82 million at this point. That’s a lot in a short period of time. Come back and keep up the good work!!
Everyone's making the generic "am I a joke to you" comment about fire charges, but it's not particularly his fault. He's new to the game (as far as I can see from the video), fire charges have a bit of an obscure crafting recipe (if I recall correctly, it's gunpowder, blaze powder, and I think either coal?), they don't have many practical uses that other items don't have (they can be used in fireworks and used as projectiles, but the former is cosmetic, the latter is decently strong but ineffective with large deviation, small hitbox, and no explosion effect - basically just a blaze fireball - and only really used as an easy way to place fire with a dispenser among us in the redstone community), and to top it all off, before the upcoming 1.16 update, there was no vanilla way to get fire charges without purposefully crafting them, not even in loot chests. So, it's not like new players would usually know about the item, seeing as it's not even talked about much in the general Minecraft community.
Note: I do gotta say, though, the fact he clearly saw and read the name " *fire* charge " and didn't assume it was related to fire or even try and see if it did something might be a bit of a fair point for the people in the comments.

Fire charges don't even work as projectiles, you just put them on the floor and it makes fire just like a flint and steel.
