Tropical Storm Alberto makes landfall in Mexico

- The first storm of the Atlantic hurricane season came ashore this morning near Tampico, Mexico, with winds near 50 miles per hour (80kph). Most of the storm's convective storms and rainfall moved inland before the center, and the backside of the storm will contain mainly strong winds with little precipitation. Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect in Mexico, with further rainfall accumulations of up to 8 inches (200mm) possible in Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon. Alberto's circulation is already looking questionable, and is likely to devolve into a remnant low fairly soon.
Elsewhere, an area of interest is gathering pace northeast of the Bahamas, and a chance still remains for a brief spell as a tropical cyclone before ramming into the northeastern region of Florida.
Behind Alberto, another system could form in the same area with precursor rains over Central America. This system will have even less time to organise than Alberto had, and is likely to strike the same areas if it does become a tropical cyclone.
In the South China Sea, a large area of interest is expected to form, and could become a tropical cyclone at some point as it harasses the coast of Hainan and southern China.

Um, aren’t we ignore that the color of Alberto is red in the thumbnail?
Alberto kinda reminds me of typhoon noru (2022) also typhoon noru also had this little tail on the bottom and pointing at the front. Like the tail was sweeping across the philippines. Now about alberto, it has a similar tail to noru but not really well connected and its little eye there looks like its about to intensify. Real quick. If alberto formed near florida it could rapidly intensify but not sure because if it formed near florida its appearance might be different. But were gonna talk about if alberto had the same appearance but if formed much more farther from land. First alberto would rapidly intensify then make landfall. Just like typhoon noru did it had great appearance so it rapidly intensified QUICK really quick. I was wondering that alberto might have a chance of becoming a major hurricane IF it was more farther than land.

Churning up the Gulf Coast waters upon in Southeast Mexico/Bay of Campeche and quite a huge Bay indeed is great news for those worried about future storms as should be bringing the cooler water to the surface helping mitigate future storms in this vast area.

Atlantic literally had less named storms than epac and wpac last year. wpac has 2 named storms Ewiniar and Maliksi. atlantic barely beat epac in 2020 you don’t predict the futures the WORLD does or heaven does so pls dont say the atlantic is active its la niña this year.
