Side bar 🧼 : Im Loving the background and green blazer!!!🤩
Thank you so much! The blazer is a thrifted find-originally from Anthropologie :D
@@HumblebeeAndMe TOTAL SCORE!
Love it! I've just started using colloidal oatmeal in liquid cleansers and it works so well for sensitive skin at just 2%. It stays in the skin after rinsing, which was a surprise for me since its so water soluble. I'll definitely try your recipe! Thank you.
I'm binge watching all your recipes featuring colloidal oatmeal.. Thinking of making this, and some cleansing balms. You are soo awesome!
This would be perfect for my husband!! I’ve used COatmeal before (in a balm actually) and have made gentle cp soap for him but this is even better! Thank you so so much for this formulation❣️☮️💟
Fabulous
Now to check my supplies and see if I have all the ingredients
If not I shall purchase and make. Thanks I will absolutely ❤ this
Finally I have all the ingredients to make this. Your so right about the SCI, I bought some to make Tooth paste tablets and couldn’t believe how easily it wafts up . I wasn’t that successful with the Tooth paste tablets I made…have you ever made them?
Just made this came out amazing 👌🏿🤗🥰
I never tried the original, but this sounds wonderful and easy! Id be interested in experimenting with turmeric or some mint oil in this, if making it for myself
This stuff is also great for synthetic makeup brushes IMO! I bet conditioning shampoo (Godiva?) would be great for natural brushes! I tend to use cleansing conditioners for those. Thanks so much.
Love that you are using special caps to dispense out your liquid ingredients. Not sure if your supplier is selling like that or you swapped them yourself.
I switched all of mine over including my fragrance oils and it’s so much easier. I highly recommend new makers purchase the turret tops or the ones you have. With small batches, this helps with over pouring.
Thanks for all your content, it’s very helpful. Would the ingredients in this be considered natural?
Looks really simple and easy Marie😊 Will surely try this since I have all the ingredients. Please advise if this can be used to bathe 1 year old child. Thank you 💕
simple and charming. thank you
Thank you for this lovely recipe! Have you any recipes for a dandruff shampoo bar using zinc pyrithione?
Can I buy Apron and the spatula from you? looks so nice!:)
I love this formulation. I've replaced foaming oat (or disodium laureth sulfosuccinate) with a blend of SCS ot SLSA + water. My latest batch had pineapple extract powder instead of oat and it is perfectly stable after 4 months! I've also used colloidal oat, much easier to find! Also, I've preserved mine with phenoxyethanol & ethylhexylglycerine and cosgard 221 or simply with cosgard 221.
Thank you!❤
Wonderful job thanks
❤️ Thanks for watching!
I’d love if you could dupe Glossier’s new milky jelly cleansing bar. I suspect it’s their take on cetaphil’s gentle cleansing bar
Oh I have all this. I’m gonna have to give it a try :)
❤️ I hope you love it!
Which aveeno product was that? Which one got reformulated for the worse?
Can you pls give a video on Diy gel handwash.
Wow i love this, looks so mild Can i use it on a baby? Body & hair
Would you bar be ok/safe for color treated hair?
Hi there i love all your videos. Is it possible to try make or share recipes with household products or and vegetables etc that can also help for us that can't afford these type of scientific ingredients? Lol Would ve very appreciated. Especially skin and hair products please. Thank you ❤️⚘️
I made this bar but what made the bar scratchy? Was it the colloidal oats or sci powder?
This sounds amazing! Do you think this would make a good shampoo bar?
Yup :)
Oh I'm making this one!
❤️ I hope you love it!
Hello Marie thank you very much for this recipe, can I use polysorbate 20 instead of foaming oats?
Hi! I'm afraid not; polysorbate 20 is never a suitable alternative for foaming water-containing surfactants. I invite you to look it up in the free Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) for more information ❤️ Happy making!
What is the name of the online school you went to? To be certified.
Hello Thank you for sharing Can baby use plz ?
Hello Gorgeous, I love this recipe.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank u so much for the video. This bar can be used on babies above one year right? (With a patch test)
This is what I was answering.
Hi ! I have a specific cleanser that was discontinued. I have the list of ingredients and some of the actual product still left. I was hoping I could hire you to formulate a dupe version for me? It's a cannabis cleanser. Please help 😭😭😭 Thank you!!!
“moldy lump of bubbly porridge” 😂
What does ‘lace glove-like lather’ mean exactly. I tried looking it up but google wasn’t having it. I got leather and lace gloves.
I think its her own poetic license. Imagine the fine weave of a white lace glove. Thats what the bubbles are like, rather than being very big and loose.
❤❤❤
Curious: why did you remove foaming oats from the blog post and from your website completely? Even if it's an ingredient you don't really use anymore--some of us who make your stuff bought and use it. I thought I was losing my cookies for a minute when I grabbed it to make this and realized it wasn't on the blog anymore! LOL
Is this suitable for vegans or cruelty free
Have you ever tried adding cocamidopropyl betaine or another surfactant to cold process soap, to make something like Dove?
Dove is not a cold processed soap, it's a syndet bar. It is not made with Sodium Hydroxide.
@Julie; Dove's beauty bars are actually considered 'hybrid' bars as they contain both soap & syndets, which is what the original commenter was suggesting/enquiring about :)
Ingredients: Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Sodium Oleate, Water (Eau), Sodium Isethionate, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Laurate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Kaolin or Titanium Dioxide.
Sodium oleate, sodium stearate, and sodium laurate are saponified oleic acid, stearic acid, and lauric acid-AKA soap :)
Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Sodium Isethionate, and Cocamidopropyl Betaine are surfactants.
Hence, hybrid! :)
i can't seem to get foaming oat (or apple) in the UK - is it worth trying a non-ionic surfactant like decyl (or coco) glucoside?
Hi! This will work, but both of those will pull the pH up and you will need to downwards adjust it (and be able to test to confirm where you end up) :)
@@HumblebeeAndMe fantastic! Thank you Marie
I saw your new apron in the beginning.
😄😄
Ooo... I love colloidal oatmeal. Is there an easy way to keep lather minimal? Like a simple swap of use more of this and less of this? I have old plumbing and a lot of lather just leads to excessive water use, and I'm in California so excessive water use is like a cardinal sin 😂
When you use it directly to the skin it doesn’t lather that much
Please speak with less speed and clearer
