My favorite cuts of chicken are wings and gizzards. In medieval times nobility would wipe their greasy hands on the backs of the dogs instead of using napkins. King Philip II used cats as well. In ancient Greece they would wipe their hands with a piece of bread and then throw the scraps on the floor for the dogs. My favorite history shows are Little House on the Prairie, Daniel Boone, and Gone with the Wind. Jonathan Swift was the author of Gulliver's Travels.

A book about farting?! Are you serious lol. As you went on I was not surprised that it was an Anglo/Irishman who wrote that ha ha ha. Brits and Irish do tend to find farting amusing. Jonathan Swift was the master of deadpan satire, so although the tone might seen intellectual or serious it was actually meant to be amusing.

My favorite period show series was Poldark! Man, that was such a great show! I highly recommend watching it! It takes place in Cornwall, England. The cinematography is stunning.
I always have to wash my hands after touching or petting the cat. But I'm allergic to them. Dogs don't bother me, just cats.
Actually, cats have dander and oils in their fur. They actually can leave dark marks on your walls where they constantly brush against them, like a corner part.
It's probably a good idea to wash up before cooking your food. But if you're used to it then no worries.

I enjoy watching your videos very much! Thank you for all the effort you put into them.
Since you asked for our favourite TV shows or films set in history: I love the 2004 BBC mini series North & South (based on the novel by Elizabeth Gaskell from 1855). The costumes are gorgeous! And Pride & Prejudice, of course, both from 1995 and 2005.
Although shows like Vikings are such favourites among viewers worldwide, I unfortunately just cannot bear to watch them. The costumes, props, and the depiction of the culture are just too historically incorrect for my taste. But I do have to admit that I am very prejudiced there because I am a Viking reenactor. 😜
Concerning cuddling your pet while eating: I have two dogs. If I had to wash my hands every time I touched them, I'd do nothing else all day 😄 That being said, cats' faeces can contain a disease called toxoplasmosis which is especially dangerous to unborn babies. So this could be important to keep in mind for the future.

@Filthy Peasant The original title had "the benefits of farting" in it because we're gonna talk about a book from 1722 with that same name that was kindly sent to us out of the blue as a surprise. The book is too bizarre not to mention. One lady complained about the title so Ron changed it. 🤣It only makes me want to talk about it more.

Oh my gosh... the benefits of Farting are numerous! During a Battle at the Colosseum in Rome, attaining the Title of "FLATVLATIS MAXIMVS HORRIBILVS" was considered one of the greatest Honors that Caesar ever bestowed upon a Gladiator! 😆

I love your show and how you have taken it in the direction of teaching your viewers about the time period you portray. I think your idea of doing an “on this day in history” is awesome! I love everything to do with early American history and I’ve learned so much from your Chew Chats!!! 🙌🏻 Please keep that kind of content coming!! I also love watch to Justine cook on Early American! You guys are such a cute couple!! And keep petting that sweet little kitty! There’s nothing wrong with cuddling with him while you eat!! 😻

How about Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis? Love Outlander!! If you loved Vikings you would love The Last Kingdom on Netflix. Patriot with Mel Gibson is a good choice too. Oh, and Dances with Wolves with Kevin Costner.

I am like Justine. I don't live eating Sweet with Savory ingredients together in a dish. I loved the historical Disco dancing too. great job, Ron. There is something to be said about how the body can build immunity to certain germs through exposure. Some of us unfortunate folks grew up to fear and despise any kind of dirt, germ, grime, etc. perceived to be disgusting and deadly due to learned behavior. Difficult to shake off. Sweet potatoes with paprika is really good. You should try it if you can fry the sweet potato chips and sprinkle some salt and paprika. My Top 5: Chosen, Queen Elizabeth, Victoria, Downton Abbey, all movies based on Jane Austen novels.

@@carolesmith4864 Absolutely. The entertainment industry can never make enough Jane Austen movies. I will never get bored of watching them. However, I did not like the recent version with Persuasion with Dakota Johnson.

I liked the Patriot, too. John James wrote a series of books called the Kent Chronicles, they were then made into a series of films in the 70's the first book starts with right before the revolution and continues with the Kent's until 1890. Loved them all. He also wrote North and South, young Patrick Swayze played in the miniseries. And let's face it farts are funny.
