5:47 Some levels in the first game were normal Islands in a body of water, which I assume were on huge floating islands themselves. I like to think these huge islands are like cups, with oceans on top spilling over the rim like a waterfall, the ocean depths being the inside of the cup/island, and the seafloor being near the bottom. The above water islands in these seas are then like ice cubes, only attached to the bottom so they stay in one spot. I hope this analogy helps.
In the comics, they had a story about Skylanders who had been forgotten like Ghost Roaster, Boomer and Voodood...
...and even they forgot Sunburn.
Sunburn being the only SSA Skylander without a single repose or Eon's Elite is so unfortunate.
I like to think that sunburn isn’t forgotten because he’s known as the one who never got a series two. Much more memorable than any of the forgotten skylanders who got an eons elite or light core , like voodood or warnado respectively
Ironically this is super true. With time he's actually gotten more memorable since he's constantly brought up for his unfortunate fate.
Won't not sting for those who hold him in high regard, like myself, cause it'd be so damn nice to have a wow-pow. Granted, Eon's Elite never got extra abilities either, so who knows if that ever would have changed anyways
Sunburn was sadly a victim of Activision's greed. Confirmed by a high-up dev in a reddit QnA, he was THE worst selling SSA Skylander so Activision had no interest in ever returning to him.
It was entirely cause of circumstance. He was the last of the 4 adventure packs released, which costed as much as triple packs for only 1 Skylander. He was also the last fire Skylander available, as technically Ignitor could be obtained through the 3Ds starter pack in wave 1. When he finally was available he has an admittedly awkward looking figure pose, Ignitor became widely available, AND he was Toy R Us exclusive. Everything was against Sunburn and yet Activision blamed it all on him.
Sunburn in my opinion, is the most underrated character. He deserved better. (He also deserved the ability to fly, but whatever)
I agree on both points. Sunburn is probably my favorite of them all.

Sunburn was also the main character in one of the Skylanders annual stories.
Wham-Shell for me personally is the one I'm most disappointed was forgotten. During Spyro's adventure he was my least favorite water Skylander on the roster of that particular game but then I tried out his moveset and OMG did I misjudge him! His Poseidon strike is seriously OP when fully upgraded, or at least it was for me and I always had so much fun playing as him!

Poor sunburn I feel like as a form of protection he never went on as many adventures or missions as the other skylanders so he never got a enough skill to get a repose or legendary variant
I interpreted Wham Shell’s backstory as the trolls likely eating Wham Shells people. If they are crabs I don’t think it’s too crazy, and would also explain the “atrocity” aspect of it. As it would go far beyond the typical blind destruction the trolls typically cause. And his people were nearly endangered, there only being a small few left, that fled and now are scattered without sky lands in hiding.
You're right, the trolls did tend to eat fish people like Gillmen
@@pineapplepunch6672 the thing with Wham-Shell is that despite the first bio saying it was an atrocity every other version of his and a couple of other lore on top of that confirms that Wham-Shell's kingdom is alive and possibly well

If you do want a story about someone losing their kingdom or an equivalent of that, look to Voodood

1. the thing with Whirlwind recruiting Warnado does not mean they traveled together or something like that, a couple fair few of the Skylanders were actively recruited by other Skylanders like Freeze Blade being recruited by Blast Zone, Punk Shock being recruited by Gill Grunt or Zoo Lou being recruited by Double Trouble, it isn't unheard of, and Eon himself has recruited plenty of them based on pure potential of who they can become, not who they were at the time, look at Slam Bam or Camo, they weren't fighters in any way yet Eon saw something in them and made them into who they are today, Camo specifically started out as Eon's gardener for crying out loud
2. The Clam/Crustacean Kingdom was never "gone", Wham-Shell succesfully defended against the trolls, something confirmed in the other versions of his bio, the words "atrocity" or "scattered to the wind" don't mean anything here unfortunately, a side note to those other versions, in the lore it's actually more common for Wham-shell to be depicted as a prince rather than a king, with his father being Good King roland who has his own little tidbits of lore, even the "Gill Grunt and the Curse o the Fish Master" book mentions Wham-Shell as a son of an underwater king and the Book of Fire and Water giving more detail as to who exactly is Roland
3. Hybrids are actually probably pretty common in Skylands it seems, Whirlwind is another example of a hybrid similar to Sunburn and Camo is a half-plant, Skylands is purely based on magic so it is entirely possible that that detail has something to do with the hybrids or other oddities like literally any of the Chompy species
edit: as always, I offer my services to help you get the amount of research you deserve over at literally any of the Skylanders dc servers, this isn't supposed to be an attack on your content of any kind cause I love it, but I also want people to get the actual acts in the franchise and not half-truths or misconceptions, and I also think you deserve to know this stuff as well

@@allfather608 tbh there's nothing suggesting other hybrids can't exist, so it's not that dragons are freaky, it's that it might be possibly for everyone to get freaky

But what I really want to know is how the heck did whirlwind happen to build a statue of herself in an Arctic landscape despite her bio not mentioning anything about her being a mechanic? We could say sprocket helped but I don’t know when she became a skylander and whirlwind was already one

As for Whirlwind, it's only ever confirmed she made the Illuminator itself, the statue could've been made later by the Frost Elves to honour her and what she did
I was kicking around on Dino-Rang playing Spyros Adventure Recently, and when I noticed that he doesn't have a series 2 figure I got curious.
Hearing that he was Put on Eon's Task Force X was not on my list but it works.

Wham Shell’s backstory is surprisingly really dark for a skylander since despite defeating the trolls it wasn’t really a victory…He lost his kingdom…His family and the few remaining other members of his kind are scattered across skylands most likely isolated from one another.
He lost everything he loved and cared for…But the fact that Bomb shell still seems optimistic and is willing to fight the good fight alongside his fellow skylanders is honestly inspiring.
Despite loosing everything and being pushed down he got back up and pushed back and soldiers on in the fight against evil.
that is something the video got incorrect, his lore doesn't say anything about the kingdom being gone on top of evidence saying the complete opposite, but if you want a story abotu someone who literally lost his own culture, family and all of that, look to Voodood, everything you said in this comment does actually apply to him, and there's also a fair few other Skylanders bios that are also either bitter sweet like Sonic Boom or downright sad like Hex or Cynder, though as the series went on such stories became rarer, instead Skylanders having uplifting backstories not tragedies
Another reason Sunburn is a tragic forgotten skylander is because he never got another release outside of Dragon Peak expansion set he was released in. Got super lucky finding him at a Gamestop back during the Trap Team launch

the reason wham shell got forgotten in a ditch is that he was released in series 5 of spyros adventure which came out in something like febuary or may of the next year and by that time walmart and other places assumed toys to life was old news and wham shell rotted in ware houses for awhile only later being released in a playset

water can fly in skylands (in the chompy mountain, just after the 2nd screw go towards the camera and youll see that water is floating a bit) but on anotherhand there is waterfall such as in the water gate of the first level for exemple
same goes for landmasses, some rocks can be found flying all over the place mailny in giants ( title screen, around the readyaught...) but some skylanders such rocky roll can are rocks and have gravity but the wirdest of all things : the dog that dig things in swap force, it digs a floating object, thows it, it have gravity, nevermind once it refuses with the landmass is still not afected by it
the best theory that i have is : if a thing is super big it can float (event if there are a lot of evidance against this such as the dragon spikelevel of ssa and sg) and it seems a bit contrintuitive but what if the air is super dance in skylands and if something is big it falls slower than anotherthing (enven if the most of the islands are aerodinamics) meybe things that are smaller have less air to moove in order to fall and falls faster but it is really wird and i am not sure it will work that way

I have an another custom Skylander called Hyper Cross Crow and his origin is he was an Cross Crow fighting against the Skylanders and one day at Motley Meadows when the Sky Pirates of East Skylands invaded the meadows and a group of Skylanders especially Snap Shot and Warnado were fending of the attack but Cross Crow charged forward but Snap Shot and Warnado did a combo move called 'Super Wind Water Arrow' that nearly destroyed him but he had a jewel that protected him and the jewel absorbed the shock but it charged him up and later when he was brought to Eon he became a powerful Skylander
