She mentions to bake the semolina cake in 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit. She made the syrup while the cake dough was resting and she let the syrup cool down while cake was baking. When the cake is still warm pour syrup on top.
Ramadan Mubarak!!!! Looks delicious… i would recommend trying out Erythritol as sugar replacement considering bad effects sugar has… ive tried it in many of my cakes and cookies and no one can believe it is sugar free..
Any sugar substitute is actually not good for the arteries. I spoke with a neurosurgeon who recommended not to try any of those alternative sugar substitutes as they increase the risk of cancer and other irregularities in the circulatory system. Why not substitute sugar with honey? It’s not processed and healthy.

This looks amazing! After spending so much time in Antakya, I've grown to love Turkish cuisine. I stayed with my new son in laws parents. Breakfast, lunch and diner was so fresh and delicious. Mostly because everything came right from their farm. It is with a heavy heart that I write about them since they did not make it through the earthquake .

Hi Maggie! Thank you so much! You can try it with cubed potatoes as well. Sometimes I do that. Just partially fry cubed potatoes in similar size with koftes and cook them together same as directed 😊🙋🏻♀️ yes he would hopefully love the cake anyway ☺️
We call it basbosa in Egypt. and other arab countries but we add ghee and mix it with simolina first then add yogurt and little baking powder the best nut for it is hazelnut. we add warm syrup to be soft . so delicious...
Is there a difference between basbosa and şambal tatlısı ? Because I googled and it says the one originates in Egypt and the other one was found in Izmir turkey
@@Shaytan.666 I think the same But we make basbosa with ghee..our local ghee.. It has strong smell and taste Every year i prepare ghee by myself we boil butter with salt for longtime till ghee is formed keep it for a year. February is the season of good butter.

It’s a good idea to use the air fryer when making food in Ramadan. It cuts the cooking time so you don’t spend all day cooking. Instead you can devote time for worship.
Air fryer not to healthy Make sure the plastic in the air fryer is not chemical releasing Makes the job easier but make sure you chose the proper air fryer
