The korean word for fireworks is 불꽃 translates to fire 불 [bul] and flower 꽃 [kkot].
So him changing firework to flowerwork was intentional, as he described in several interviews.... Instead of explosive but short he would rather have a long and gentle moment/live/carrier.

The "flower work" is def intentional ! That's the literal translation of the title in English. He wanted to give the idea that his life as a successful artist is like a firework, but he still wants to keep himself grounded and fall like a wild flower. (I know I didn't do his message justice the way I wrote it but I hope it make sense). He's an amazing lyricist, his whole album Indigo (from which this song is from) is a masterpiece.
RM is the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter in the world 👑👑👑
Namjoon's music is such a journey. I love him as a person and i love how he bears his soul in his music

I paused the mv to write this because I think you kind of knee jerked into lumping "the fall" lyrics with the experiences of 1 out of 2 artists. RM is referring to the anticipated path every Idol trainee has for their career wherein if success is achieved there is a limited period of say a few years of public adulation followed by a presumed withdrawal of sorts from the Idol scene. Idol music is young people's sport. RM speaks of starting his journey with the dream of a "beautiful fall" having achieved a period of Korean and East Asian recognition. In 2010 he would have no expectation of global engagement. The song ultimately goes on (and I will see how you interpret it) to say his journey took him to places he was not emotionally prepared for with new kinds of expectations he never foresaw or even contracted for. He wanted the poetry of his words to be shared, not to be mired in worldwide fame. We are now in chapter 2 of the BTS journey which is focused on individual expression. RM hopes for this to be his reinvented beautiful fall where he can flower creatively as an individual.
So I stopped to write because as a Westerner I felt you were going way Western on me while I was listening to a Korean speak about his emotions about how he was experiencing that something unique to the Korean music industry was not occurring and that he was being forced to be something other than what he had imagined.
I think Namjoon did mean the actual fall of an artist as well though, because they did feel a lot of pressure on where to go after they gained fame, part of that stress is thinking about the fall which will come, that’s why he is telling himself to stay grounded
@@mimimira5412 A brief annotation of the lyrics. NOTICE the recurrence of the word I along with the words me and my. Yes we all know BTS tends to run multiple lines of messaging simultaneously, but I think the track shows itself to be very personal and focused on a reimagining of a desired "fall" which he felt was a natural point in the life of an Idol artist, something he signed onto with great peer pushback.

I respect your opinion as an "as well" because you spoke having heard the entire song. My problem was with the reactor who is brilliant making know it all statements based on hearing limited lyrics rather than him speaking his viewpoint after absorbing a significant part of the material. He stopped the song real early in an effusion of I know what this is all about. Had he been any one of a parade of dimwitted reactors I would have brushed it off as "what more should I expect". When a highly capable reactor only lets a track go a few bars before making pronouncements of meaning those pronouncements can steer further interpretation. For me being self-pompous about understandings prior to allowing the majority of a track to develop is a skimping on their formidable abilities. To me that is intellectually lazy when it comes from the mouth of a reactor blessed with extraordinary abilities. So I spoke up.
I really like how you interpret the lyrics. So I want your thought on the song Strange of Suga ft RM of BTS. This songs lyrics really put me into a lot of thoughts.
