    Great idea for a new segment. I'm on board for plenty of this.

    Not to be confused with “Up Yours, Game!”

    Unsure if room tilted, camera tilted, or just angled oddly.
    Appreciate the look at expansions, and love upgrades, especially 3D printed ones. Love if you showed off more 3D printed upgrade, preferably ones you can print yourself.
    I originally bought a 3D printer just for making game inserts, and now I want more 3D printers. Going to build a Voron 2.4 350mm, but that new RatRig V-Core 4 500mm Idex is extremely tempting (maybe next year).

    I have been 3D printing upgrades with an Ender 3 Pro (a basic model) and getting very good results. I think the items are similar in detail quality to the Great Western Trail ones you showed, but not as good as those Brass Birmingham barges, etc. Printing on your own allows you to scale the sizes to make items that still fit in the game box. This is especially true by 3D printing space saving boxes to replace zip-loc bags. I also paint after printing as well to make them pop.

    with Cubitos I wish you would have shown us if they include more race setups. And if they show how to retroactively add in the two new dice into the base races.

    Different strokes: when I got those Tiny Towns stickers they immediately were sent to live under the insert of the base game.

    Great video! I love Cubitos so much but I think I have to pass on the expansion just because unfortunately I'm not a fan of the look of the vampire flamingo and judge pigeon.

    I like the segment. I don’t personally agree that stickers are an upgrade. I like the clean look of a wooden piece or a screen printed one. I think I’ve seen one sticker set that I felt actually looked good in any game I’ve seen online.

    • @samirjafri191
      @samirjafri191 19 дней назад

      There's a whole industry of deluxifying components for board games where the 3rd party components are better than the originals. They also cost $$$, and the original game publishers have a price target they need to stay under, so 3rd party components is are pretty much always better than the original components otherwise why would anybody buy them?

    Man, it really just pisses me off when I see a review and think, "Man, that's really cool. I want to get that." So I google it and find out it's SOLD OUT. I mean, yeah, if the review was a month ago or a year ago, sure, yeah, my problem. But yesterday? Really? What, are you some kind of gods who declares what should be sold out in the next 24 hours and it happens? Why don't you start a segment called, "What's Cool That You Can Actually Buy Today"? That would be helpful. I try to check in every day. Why? Why should I check in with you, if you're just going to tell me the really cool thing that you have that I can't have?

    • @blaze0015
      @blaze0015 18 дней назад +1

      So you think in order to review a game a reviewer should first have to scour the internet and make sure that it hasn't sold out?

    • @TylerAndToast
      @TylerAndToast 17 дней назад

      New to the hobby? Usually have to wait for the next print run. A lot of games can be crowd funded, pre-ordered, picked up at cons. You can also set stock alerts for most board game websites

    • @TylerAndToast
      @TylerAndToast 17 дней назад

      @@blaze0015lol even if they did it would be irrelevant and obsolete the next day

    • @johncullen9436
      @johncullen9436 17 дней назад

      @@blaze0015 Well, there is a difference between a preview and a review. And there's usually plenty of disclaimers in a preview stating that the produce is not yet available. If a purview was dressed up as a "review", you'd have a legitimate complaint, wouldn't you? It would be nice to have a review of a game that is actually available. It took me a minute or so of googling to find out that the product was sold out. My scouring pad is intact. So, "in order to"? No. It's a free country. Do what you like. Would it be nice? Yes. It would be nice if after seeing a review within 24 hours of it being posted you could actually buy the product.

    • @thedicetower
      @thedicetower  17 дней назад +2

      I'm not sure which product you're referring to here. We try to review things generally in a timely manner, but that doesn't always happen because of the massive amount of games that come out each year. Other times, there's a small print run available at first and it gets printed again shortly thereafter. Sometimes, games aren't available in all markets at the same time. We might get review copies the same time a product is released in European markets and not US markets. Given the large amount of products and many markets who watch us, we can't reasonably say when things are currently available or not.
