There are a few young narrow boaters out there and one has a really shabby boat. Was surprised that during lock down they didn't improve its appearance. You are really doing a fantastic job and hope that your future vlogs are interesting. Best to you, Jane, Philadelphia
Hey we’re not sure on how much it would be if we paid someone to do it. It took about 3 days in total as we had to wait for paint to dry etc. So could potentially be quite costly. Thank you we’re so pleased with the results!
Yes definitely, we would normally use a mask just couldn’t get one in the current climate. We did remove most of the pram cover to allow for better ventilation. Thanks hope you’re staying safe too 😁
Great vlog and what a difference, well done!! As a suggestion (from a rubbish vlogger!) can you turn down the music a tad and ensure we can hear you when talking to the camera - it was a bit up and down.... great work!!!
Thank you. Yes it has been fine. In good weather 3 days would be fine if that weather is damp it’ll take you longer as the paint needs time to dry 😊 thanks for the comment!
Found your channel through Narrowboat Chef. Great job! Very impressed with how paint free you remained while working in such close quarters. I would have been covered in paint doing a job like that! Looking forward to your future vlogs. How have the dogs adjusted to boat life? Thoughts & Prayers from New England!
Thank you for coming over to our channel and for your message. Thank you, we have binned a few items of clothing from painting. Stephen had a fair amount of it on his hands and arms but overall not too bad. Hope you enjoy our content to come 😁
That’s astonishing! What a satisfying job. Well done that man!
Thanks Cara 😊
Smart people sensible approach to renovating the bilge area
I have seen some painfu vlogs on the same subject well done
You are doing great. Really enjoy watching your videos
Thank you Chris!
WOW what a difference. You have done a great job, well done.
Thank you! It was a lot of elbow grease to get the job done, but so worth it!
It's amazing how a bit of paint - and a lot of elbow grease - can make such a difference, great work
Thank you, it was a lot of hard work but so worth it!

Just discovered you. Lots of practical information which I need
Awesome, glad you find the information useful 😊
Great vlog, am dreading tackling this job, but gotta be done
What a massive difference! Want to come and do ours? 😜🤣
Thanks guys! Yeah no problem 😜
You’ve done a great job, what a difference. I use folded puppy training pads ( from B&M) under the engine to collect any drips etc.
Thank you! Thats a great idea, think we will get some.
Its a bit hard to hear the names of the brands you used, would you post what they are please?

Thank you Jane, we hope you enjoy our future vlogs. We have a lot of interesting content coming up!
Great video. I still don't see how you scrub/paint *under* the engine even with a long stick? Looks incredibly tricky??
You done well!
Thank you Peter 😁
Also I remember Ste talking about that text message in the description.
What would this have cost for someone to do this work? Hats off to you for taking on this mess of a job.

Sooner or later you will discover a good mask is always good around sanding projects. Stay safe and remember to take care always.

Thank you for your feedback. 😊 We are aware of sound issues on some devices and are working to improve as we get better skilled ourselves.
Need new rubber lines and hoses too - make it shipshape and Bristol ✔️
Thanks for your advice will look into that 😊
great video! I'm just about to tackle mine. Has everything held up well since doing this? Would you say around 3 days to do the job? Thanks!

What type of dogs are they.....
They are both chihuahuas one long hair and one short 😊
Old engine oil on rust is amazing.
Agreed!
Whats the name of the product? You dont say wich brand
We purchased an engine bilge paint from Midland Chandlers - sorry can't remember the exact brand.
Ste is doing blokey DIY things.
It must be a day.
