What a terrible idea for a big box to not come with hard to find expansion content! Almost ridiculous really. What a failure of a product in general, too expensive and clunky.

I've never had Agricola. Once I heard the announcement for this box, I immediately bought the normal, revised edition. I caught revised farmers of the Moor on it's most recent print run. I now have all expansions, and cards available in the base game box. Smaller box, more content, and cheaper than the anniversary. No regrets.

@@fuzzmaster4157 The base game has a lot of replay value. The decks are just for variation. Farmer's of the Moor changes the gameplay a lot. It was recently reprinted so it is worth getting while it's available.

Ultimate Railroads (the Russian Railroads big box) has that lift-out cardboard tray system, but they were smart enough to include a little handle cut out of the center beam, so you don't have to use The Claw.

I went from the revised edition to this one mostly because I want to own everything about Agricola since it's a brilliant game. The most important addon for me has been the card holder - All expansions fit in there (without sleeves). I have all small expansions (Corbarius, Dulcinea, Consul Dirigens, and Farmers of the Moor) and everything fits inside this big box. I was dissapointed by the major improvements holder, and them being cardboard instead of cards. Beacause in farmers of the moore they are cards, and also some minor ones reference other "cards" as components and major are cards as well but that is missleading. Overall happy with being able to have everything in one box, instead of many boxes scattered around whenever I want to play some Agricola. Im glad you were able to upgrade to this version, since the animeeples are a must! hahah. Cheers,

I have the older edition, but with animeeples and upgraded resources. I decided against the new edition and this anniversary edition. We already have Farmers of the Moor and several decks for the “old” version, and are perfectly happy with the variety. Agricola is a great game, and while I’m sure the new edition is wonderful, I am still happy to explore our “old” box of goodies. :)

You are so right ! I am in the same situation as you are. I have almost everything of Agricola except some loose card decks and a promo or 2. If you are new to Agricola I would say go for it and buy this BigBox. It holds everything you need to get you started for months of different game-plays and it stores your future expansions perfectly. For us "old" players this is just a waste of money and it almost feels like another way to drain money from our pockets for a big time major cool game and really nothing new of different you get in return. A big miss here in my opinion. I would love to see that an empty BigBox, with no game components is for sale somewhere.

It’s such a shame. This was a product I was originally very excited about when it was first announced as I was just getting into Agricola at the time and was looking to buy a physical version of the game. But the more information I found out about it, the less interested in this version I became. My concerns included the price, the quality of the trays, that it didn’t even have the expansions or the C & D decks, the size of the box, and some other odd choices they made.
I decided against getting it and instead bought a use copy of Revised, all four Revised decks, and Farmers of the Moor - much more content than Agricola 15 and still cheaper than it. Everything fits into the base and expansion box, including all the base content plus around 100 or so occs/minors in the base box if I don't want to play the expansion. The leftover cards fit in the FotM box with the rest of the expansion content.
    Nevertheless, thanks for sharing!
P.S. Farmers of the Moor has been back in print for a while, both in the UK and US at least. I got mine from Boardlandia who still has it in stock.

Either a big box should come with the previously released expansions, extras and room for additional ones. Or it should be an empty box with a storage solution for everything for those whom already own the base+expansions.
And that two box in one looks like an accident waiting to happen. Not as bad as the Lords of Waterdeep halv lid but a close second. The upgraded componants and a separate compartment for the card and dividers were nice. Otherwise this is a pass for me.

I'm a huge Agricola fan, so I was kinda scared that watching this might trigger my acquisition disorder. As it turns out, there was nothing to be worried about. Nothing in the big box feels "essential" even if just from a collector's POV. The 3-piece box and trays feel like more trouble than they're worth, and not including a major expansion is also a shame. Cool that they included some of those old hard-to-find expansions though.

I'm guessing they didn't include Farmers of the Moor because it wasn't designed with the Occupation/Minor Improvement cards in mind. You basically have two Agricola "branches" - the various decks, or Farmers of the Moor. So rather than include incompatible stuff in the same box they just picked the decks branch. Now, plenty of Agricola players have figured out ways they like to incorporate both (like always dealing 50/50 FotM/other deck cards). It's kind of a shame they didn't put creative effort into an official solution to this as part of the 15 box.

Thank you for your great content. Its always a pleasure to watch.
Now to the elephant in the room.......that 15th Anniversary big box.......well, they are telling the truth, it is a 'BIG BOX'.......mostly empty. It is a total rip off as box didn't need a second box, and card box could have been a third of its size. I re-purchased this as I regretted getting rid of my original. I'm glad I own it again but to not have all the expansions (which would have filled the card box a little more), I think they have treated us like fools. You expect a '15th' to have 15 years of content.
Sorry for my rant, but it does annoy me that they gave us a very sub par product just to increase their bank balance.

I have the "advanced level" aka "revised edition" of Agricola which includes all the animeeples and shaped resource wooden pieces already in it. There is also the regular major improvement display board with the major improvement cards. I have no idea why Lookout Games would want to make a "punchboard frame" as a display for those improvements. I don't have a problem with making them cardboard pieces, although there was absolutely nothing wrong with the cards. But for Pete's sake, the punchboard frame is a total fail in my book. It has no function other than to be a hassle. Reinserting the major improvements into the slots only to have to extract them out when you buy them makes absolutely no sense at all. Whoever came up with that idea clearly wasn't considering how it doesn't enhance gameplay at all, and only increases the hassle factor. Agricola is one of my all-time favorite games, but I definitely wouldn't buy this new version over the current "advanced level" version that is available in retail.

I didn't have the original or revised edition. I didn't play the game until Jan. of 2023. I'm not someone really who was affected by this, except for someone who is jumping in for the first time. I heard about the issues with this version of the game and still pre-ordered it because I wanted the game in one solution. It is simply downright disrespectful to call this a big box and evidence shows with their latest news about Nusfjord they know what should be done with a big big. Simply including some promo decks, the promo seasons board, some alternate art for flavor on the boards is extra fluff not the meat and potatoes. Not including all the regular card decks meaning C, D, and CD deck, or the one expansion any Agricola players expect would come in a Big Box version, definitive version of the game. I don't see a valid reason they would exclude the remaining standard decks and the Farmers of the Moore expansion. It's stated both Nusfjord expansions and two new ones will be included it its big box, what on Earth made them not do the one expansion for Agricola it its big box?! Frankly we know completionists may appreciated the seasons board, the X deck, Fairy deck, and L deck (btw not all the L cards apparently so is that even a win) but someone start a pole on BGG how many Agricola players use the seasons board, or those X, Fair, or L decks in their regular plays of Agricola versus the number of players who regularly use Farmers of the Moore. What it a production reason, delay the big box to the 20th anniversary then. A cost reason, get rid of stuff that makes no sense (cardboard major improvement keeping them cards; the trays which are cheap and fall apart and keep them in bags and let owners decided how they want to do any other version of sorting their stuff; A double layer box, a different single compartment could have been figured out). I read some others wanted other promo decks, the old Wizkids painted miniatures, and those would be nice, but those are extra not standard components of the game, offer an extra product that houses promos and such, and inside the big box put the definitive edition, latest pieces, actual expansion(s) and extra main content in this case the standard decks. I'm not aware of any explanation or future product from the publisher to add anything, but they should say why they made these decisions and do something to come to an agreement on what is next.

I had original Agricola with a few cards set and had no problem storing it in a smaller box. Maybe for a person who has so much content it is a great idea but I would be interested actually either in this box with all the content (kickstarter style for newbs or people who sold the old one like me) or the regular one. But it is still better than wingspan nesting box - when I saw that unwieldy beast I decided to stop. Especially when I was moving countries last month I had to leave scythe, dwellings of eldervale, vindication, terraforming mars big box etc for same reasons. Those games would eat up most of space and even though I love them I don’t feel it is worth it.

I have the revised edition, and this is basicly the same, the only thing is the player board which is different from this and the box is smaller, but everything else is the same, so i'm glad i did not buy this one :D

I did not own Agricola and managed to grab this at a slightly lower price so i'm ok with it, but to be honest it's garbage. For a Big Box to call itself that and omit not only the major expansions but sooo many of the little very hard to find and expensive ones is ridiculous. Also, the box is very bad quality ! Instead of a sturdy thick box to protect your game like the one that Scythe, Wingspan etc have, this is essentialy the same box as the regular Agricola revised edition, just bigger. As you can understand, if you keep the same thickness (or very close to that) and make the box larger, then it seems very flimsy and ready to break. Next, we have the horrible trays that fall apart. Even the boards could be a bit thicker cardboard. At least the wooden bits are fine. If you don't have Agricola and manage to find this at a reasonable price (like me) grab it, otherwise don't bother just buy the simple revised version. For that retail price they could have done much MUCH better. Oh, another thing ! I haven't tried yet but that paper card storage box won't fit the cards if you sleeve them (if i remember correctly that's what people on BGG were saying). Anyway, thank you for the video guys ! Can't wait for your Feast for Odin playthrough (and the game's reprint so i can buy it already) !

Sad that graphically it's not updated, it''s just the revised edition, with a storage for everything, and pretty piss poor storage at that. Built it yourself cardboard, and if you lift it wrong it falls apart? Come on...
Hopefully for the 20th edition they make them plastic, like suburbia, and Everdell collector's editions
:/ I'll hold off on this, sadly.

I never owned the original or revised so this is my first version of the game. The quality of some of the parts feels really cheap, particularly those cardboard component trays and the baffling major improvements tray. I've bought a couple of card decks so at least they don't rattle around anymore either, but again - why did I have to do that? I'm not super unhappy because this is such a wonderful game and I'm really happy to have finally played it and own it but it's mixed feelings for my wallet.

Viticulture, La Granja, Teotihuacan, Castles of Burgundy and Ultimate Railroads did it right: Release with deluxe pieces, deluxe box and all expansions.
This seems lackadaisical. The box to hold the cards is only half full, leaving then to slide around? Not enough trays to separate components? Flimsy trays? Hard Pass...

As an Agricola enthusiast, I'd say this was a little disappointing. The most appealing thing is the box being big enough to hold expansions. I have the revised edition, so none of this is souped up, to me. All well!

    Garbage product. Money grab.
Original game came with 5player, solo, family variant, and major improvements board.
Then for the first money grab the revised edition was only 4p with a separate purchase expansion for 5-6p.
    And now this.
I agree with a previous comment, OG versions prior to revision, all expansions fit in that box.

Lacking insight and hindsight to not include every Agricola expansion in such a huge box. The fact that the Revise version has much of the same and it fits it in a smaller footprint makes this a disappointment. Plus I was fortunate to get my works demo copy,, so we have a Mars player board included. I was hoping for a legitimate upgrade to potentially carry it at my work. I don't know how they miss the mark this badly

It seems like every rerelease further reduces the amount of content in the base game...what a ridiculous (agricolous? 😆) direction to be heading in, very hard to see it as anything other than a marketing ploy. The punch board in lieu of a placemat for the major expansions is pathetic.
With this one, it seems like they literally interpreted "big box" to mean "a big box" 🤦‍♂️
