We've finally made it back to Florida. The twin turbo Delorean and the dual Tesla Swapped Squarebody made it safely to the shop. But before we dive back into getting the EV C10 or the DMC12 ripping burnouts we have to turn out this quick LS swap on our friend Jason's 1970 Chevelle! We're taking out his stock big block and putting in a Texas Speed built LS3. This cammed LS is going to be putting down around 525 horsepower once it's bolted into Jason's Chevy. We couldn't just swap the motor though, so we're taking this Chevelle from automatic to manual by putting in a brand new Tremec transmission. While we're under the car, we are pulling out the rusted stock gas tank, and putting in a fuel tank from Rick's Fuel Cells. Before pulling the truck down from the lift, we mock up, cut down and weld in a Hooker Exhaust to make sure this muscle car sounds as good as it performs. When the last bead has been laid on the pipes we can finally let Jason take his Chevelle for a spin and he lays down some rubber with his fresh motor and transmission. We're going to let him take it home and put some cruising miles on the car before he brings it back for us to throw on the dyno and see just how much power we're able to squeeze out of this LS3! If you enjoyed this quick build, then make sure to subscribe, because we have a full overhaul on a 1970s SS Chevelle coming up! It's getting a brand new chassis, suspension, and a wicked LSX motor to really put the muscle back in muscle car! We're also going to be hammering back down on the Tesla swapped C10, getting it ready to tear apart all four wheels in some crazy burnouts!

I love how you guys get so much work done in one episode. Not dragging shit on. I would love to see a 1976 240z
They're not going to be old, but we're planning on doing two 350z drift car builds for the shop!
280Z?
@@SalvagetoSavage tesla 350z
I love how much effort you guys actually go to as far as filming and editing
We try as hard as we can to give y'all the best content! Thanks so much for the support!
Gentlemen, your channel is going to blow up. No one else packs as much work in their videos as you. Any other channel would’ve easy done 4 videos minimum on a build/ swap like this. Well freakin done
Makin the rest of us look bad 🤦🏻♂️ hahah!
We're just trying to keep people stoked on hotrodding! Unless we're getting super technical and trying to breakdown how and why we're doing certain things we want to pack the episode with a good amount of building. Thanks so much for the support and feedback. We appreciate all of it!
@@SalvagetoSavage PLZ keep these kinda videos around for us weekend guys that’s tryna build on our own in the garage because we can’t afford a shop doing it for us….😂😂
@@SalvagetoSavage I’m in west palm , need a extra pair of hands lmk
Great video!
I watched it all and loved it!
I did notice however that the front turn signal lights are from a 72.
No biggie. Lol
That whole front end has been reconstructed. Now that the motors running strong, he's taking the time to clean up the exterior!
Thank you guys finally I always see those Chevelles in the background on EV truck build and the DeLorean building I always wanted to build a Chevelle of my very own I'm definitely going to love this builds
Hopefully we give you some inspiration for your own builds!
You guys make a awesome team. You should have a netflix series! Cant wait to see that LSX. That motor is on my bucket list. Im going to buy one and just sit it in my living room lol
Make a coffee table out of it!
Also 6:04 being there helping swapping a transmission out of a Toyota matrix on a buds ride... sometimes the internet can be a godsend for some steps of a build.
Oh definitely! And it helps not having to give through pages and pages of oil stained manuals either!
Great build, as always.
I'd love to see more of that huge ceiling fan in the shop, how isn't it taking the roof of.
Well done guys, love the craftsmanship and attention to detail great build...
Glad you enjoyed it!!
There’s one thing I love about you guys… PROFESSIONAL AT ITS FINEST!
Thank you so much!
Oh man I'm excited for this build you guys!
It's gonna put down some serious numbers for an N/A LS!
@@SalvagetoSavage that TexasSpeed LS is no joke!
Man! Love your no nonsense approaching to videos! Please teach the others!
Again great build! "All in a day's work"!
I appreciate that!
Man i love this channel. The energy, the content and obviously the insane amount of work you guys get done in one video. Keep it up 👌🏻
Will do man! Thanks so much for the support
Looks like another snazzy build my dudes, neat to see the progress from the tech to the trim. Seriously top shelf once again.
Thank you!
Putting that motor in a 69 c10 that Im doing. Super cool to watch this one. Oh and its wild to see the c10 peeping at us in the back ground!
Wow, that Chevelle sounds good and looks clean. Amazing job as usual.
Thank you! It'll rip even harder once it's tuned up!
Dang Bro man is super strong he just lifted that transmission like a bag of potatoes 🥔 I need to get too the gym 💪
Yah he was laid up for 2 days after that. Lmao
@@SalvagetoSavage Be careful guys were not that young anymore lol
Came for the Chevelle. I have a Chevelle myself. Subbed to see more Chevelles
We got a big Chevelle project coming right up!
I know where I’m getting a car built, as soon as I can or win the lottery! At my age, I can’t build like this anymore, we’ll maybe I can, but why would I ??
Excellent work, guys! Thanks for sharing!
1970 Chevelle, my wife’s favourite Chevy
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us. Hopefully one day we'll see your ride in the shop!
The amount of content you cram into each video is astounding.
Thank you so much!
Cannot wait to see big orange!!! Sweet car, my dream car. With twin turbos!!!!!! Bring on the horse power!!!!!
She’s already a clean car, now we’re just gonna give it the savage treatment
Brooooo.. du-rag Darryl hahahahahaha
Btw the grey Chevelle was dope.
Thank you! We have an even crazier Chevelle coming your way!
This channel needs more followers facts 👏 💯
We'll get there. We just need more people like you! Thanks for watching!
Best channel a lot of work and
Less talk
We try our best! Thanks for watching!
Just found your channel and subscribed, anything to do with the car, truck life is what I like to see 👀, also I find it really impressive that you answer everyone's questions and comments even after a year. Excellent channel, Thank you.
Thanks for the sub! We try to stay on top of the comments as much as possible!
its so cool how you guys can make a business out of basically just having fun. Because I know how long a ls swap takes, I have been ls swapping my k20 for almost 2yrs now and you guys can do it in a few days.
It definitely took us more than a few days (but mainly because we were waiting so long for parts to come in). But with a few guys on the job, the actual swap didn't take all too long! Hope you liked the video!
Awesome build! I’m restoring / building a ‘71 LSX Supercharged Chevelle myself. Definitely gonna be tuned in to you guys. Subbed!👊🏾
Awesome! Thank you! If you post any updates on IG make sure to tag us in em so we can see!
I got a 2007 zo6 engine in chevelle would it be easy to put cold air intake in
Chevelle with twin snails...oh my!!!!
It'll be a ripper!
Best shop channel on RUclips 👌🍻🇺🇸
Thank you!!
Amazing work, wish I had the help and skill like u guys, been working on my 69 ls1 swap for 8 months, finally has oil pressure
this has to be the absolute best car channel on RUclips!
Thank you so much!
Hell yeah!
LS Power baby!!
I'd love to see the timetable and bill for ths project. Total labour cost, parts cost, and time spent in the shop.
It definitely cost less than EV swapping a C10, that's for sure! lol The process for a simple motor swap isn't too difficult. The real labor comes in with manual swapping an automatic car and a big part of the time it takes comes from waiting on the correct parts to arrive!
Ya this swap surely took lots of time, I jobbed out the identical swap. Lsa in a 71’ 6spd, vintage air. Suspension. U name it.
I even did the shop llc centre console. Not the dash tho, I did notice this car had the shops stuff.
My build price was in the 40s.
That's at least 30k work of parts and labor
And a months of work…
I’m not shit talking, love these guys, but didn’t he say in the opening he wants to get the car running and do a burnout the same day they were yanking the bbc …?
@@drewwhite4031 I did a super budget version of this on my 72 chevelle. Cammed 6.0 LS, t56 (non magnum), holley terminator efi, semi built 12 bolt rear. Have under 10k in the whole deal.
Wicked !!!
Thank you!
Crushing it like usual!
Thumbs up boys.
Thank you!
I would love to have that big block ..
love the old musle with newer power, how bout that 79ish malibu in the background?
That car got a create 350, and a full ridetech suspension upgrade. It was surprisingly quick once we took the carb off and replaced it with a Holley Sniper EFI
Just getting it done
I got a 71 Chevelle would love to this on it ! I wonder how much a build like this cost from start to finish
If you're interested in a build, shoot us a message on IG for a quote!
You guys are lit! I wish I could have had a higher learning in the technical automotive field growing up. I finally taste envy. But it’s ok. I don’t hate, I congratulate. 😄👍✌️
It's never too late to go back and learn how to build cars!
I live about 5 miles from The Roadster Shop. I applied for a job there about 8 years ago. Lol
That’s what’s up, are you a welder?
Looking good boys. Can't wait to see the result.
The car will be coming back this week, with some new wheels and ready for Dyno
My dream car! You guys rock! This is why I subscribe.
Thanks so much for subbing! Stoked to have you along for the ride
That's a 72. Nice build.
SS Shaun is the king of Chevelles. Nice build though
If you guys keep up this level of content then you will have a guaranteed million subs in no time!!!!!!
We're just trying to get people stoked on hotrodding their own cars!
Great video thanks S2S. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Hope you have a great time relaxing with family!
@@SalvagetoSavage thanks for your reply, Was supposed to be home but when I went to Boston to fly Jet Blue they wouldn’t take my cardboard boxes as luggage on an international flight. So hoping to be on this Saturdays plane.
Exhaust sounds pretty darn good!!! I got Black Widow on my 70 Chevelle and its too loud at times.
Loud is nice, but it definitely gets to be a bit much sometimes. Especially if you're on the highway a lot!
help
want to do a 1986 Mustang SVO Ls swap
its way to slow and a coyote swap is too expensive
any thoughts
awesome video great job with cleaning everything up 👍
That's a nice clean project with a great outcome. Can't figure out the crazy wheels though-must ride like a buckboard.
They were the ones that had been sitting on the car for years. He just got some new ones. You'll see them when he brings the car in to get dyno'd
Other RUclipsrs: Today I am going to take out the radiator.... thanx for watching
S2S: Nah we dont do that here...
Go big or go home!!
❤👏👏 i hope to have a car in that shop one day!
You are doing the best work and the best videos. Thanks. 🇫🇷
Thank you so much!
Durag Darrel!!!!!
great job guys prod florida building nice
Appreciate it!!
Thank you for making Wednesdays awesome.
Our pleasure! Thanks for tuning in every week!
302.2 pan
Big step finallllly pried over the cross member. Yeah,i installed with the trans/4 spd auto ls.
Oil pan is on the cross member?the smaller step.
And im gunna space my motor mounts with washers to get um onto the frame perches.
Drivers side bolts tru.
Passenger side one inch high still and inboard 1/2inch
Nice!!
Please do an episode on that GORGEOUS blue Mustang ...
We have 2 or 3 episodes on it already. There should be a playlist for that build up to this point!
I think mikey rollss should start off every episode chugging water and spitting that shit everywhere because he looks just like triple h
We'll put it down on the idea board! lol
Nice work guys...
Another build, means happy us💕💕💕😍
We got an even crazier Chevelle coming your way!
@@SalvagetoSavage im looking forward to that..😍
Wow, another LS swap..wow. never saw that before
I see you can't wait for the next build
Of course not! We never stop here
That big block looks pretty good still
It was still a clean, running motor
@@SalvagetoSavage you say was dont tell me it's in the trash
AMAZING
Thanks!
Love the content, mind sharing which motormounts and frame mounts you went with?
Shoot us a message on ig and we can see if we can pull out the parts sheet. I believe it was just a standard LS3 motor mount we welded onto there
I'll take the ol bigblock off your hands lol. This made me miss my grandpa's chevelle. 70 ss with a blown 396 candy paint and a 5 speed. Miss that car
Sure, 4000 with T400
You guys have any footage on the trans tunnel modifications? Curious to see how it came out
We brought in our friend Harvey to fabricate the new tunnel because we were swamped with the C10 and Delorean builds, and unfortunately no one gave him a camera to film it :(
On your LS3 Swap in the 70 Chevelle what did you do for the tachometer connection on the engine side? Also I cannot seem to get the OHMS figured out on my tremec t6. Also did you have to customize the crossmember to fit your new driveshaft?
Nice
Thanks!
You guys do the nicest shit!!!
Thank you so much!
Great job and great vid. Bro keep up the good work, I have been sending folks to your channel Im sure they are subscribing. your bud Bill R. ps see ya soon
Thanks so much for the support as our channel grows! It really means a lot to us!
Really sweet guys, I have a question for you guys, and I'm sorry if it sounds stupid but I'm not a machanic, but doesn't the fuel regulator normally live under the bonnet (sorry hood) for adjusting if needed, as before love the fact you trust and use Haltech, awesome video guys 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘
One of my absolute dream cars. Always loved the chevelle ss
The orange SS is going to be a killer!
@@SalvagetoSavage I like them both. Those are when I win the lotto cars for me for sure
"That's what google is for" Tony 2022
Would love to see a comparison between these cars , I have some aftermarket parts on a 68 Camaro build and it would be great to to see how ridetech bolt on stuff compares to that roadster shop chassis
There's definitely a big difference because the Roadstershop parts are designed around the entire chassis. We have an over view on the chassis coming this week!
@@SalvagetoSavage can't wait , I know they scan the underside of the cars and make a rendering for these cars. It will be awesome
Only really fast cars are orange … 👏👏👏🤣
It's the color of speed!
Отличная работа!!! Like good job!!!
Thank you!
Did the factory ls3 oil pan work?
I have the Chevelle, now I just need the $$$$ for the engine, trans, rear end and?
I think everyone's greatest fear is wiring...
It's definitely a headache, but Andrew's a wiring master at this point!
@@SalvagetoSavage
It's intimidating...
Seen a lot of 60s and 70s muscle cars burn up in the 80s because people put their own stero system in..
Man great job!! I wish I could bring my 1970 chevelle to you for a Ls swap all in ONE day. Need some help around he shop?
It may have taken a lil more than one day lol If you know how to fabricate and work on cars, send us your resume!
Do you guys a have a parts list you or websit
That's one cool car; big wheels, big motor, big Strange rear end...my wife has a big strange rear end, I forget what's in her car, but anyway...
This just made our morning! lol
What are you guys doing with the blue 69 Mustang? That keeps catching my eye.
We have a short build series on that! Look through the channel playlists!
What motor mounts did you all use?
It would be my dream
What ls mounts did you use on the motor as well as the frame.
Message us on IG and we can see if we can dig out the receipts for the exact ones
@@SalvagetoSavage don’t have IG. Facebook messenger or Facebook
Noice!
Thank you!!
Heck yeah me love it guys I want a 72 chevelle ss and a 62 impala ss them my two dreams cars
Idk, this rear end doesn't look strange to me...
...
...oooh, Strange rear end! Sorry, my bad!🤪😁😁😁
We've definitely seen some strange ones here in South Florida! lol
What's up with the Fuel filler tube oscillating @11:49 ?
What motor mounts did you use? Did you shift the motor forward? Stock position?
I have a 69. LS3 Motor coming October. Just wondering when I pull my 454 which motor mounts do I need to use and what position is best for clearances. I am also removing my Muncie M22 replacing with TKX-5. If that helps. Mainly curious what mounts work best and what position is best. Thanks.
Pretty sure these were ICT billet
Hey so taboo question, what’s the price for that set up? New LS3, 6spd tremec, installation, modification, strange rear,? Anyways love what you guys do
If you're interested in doing one, shoot us a message on iG!
@@SalvagetoSavage right on I’ll do that now, thanks for getting back man
How much lighter do you think the car is now? 200lbs?
I watched your video on the LS Chevelle engine swap can you tell me how much that cost to do that I have a 71 Chevelle need help
Shoot us a message on instagram if you're interested in a project!
What do you charge for LS conversion on chevelle have a 70.71,72
Is it easy to put cold air intake in?
a CAI is a great supporting mod that is super easy to do. It won't have any noticeable effect on performance though unless your ECU is tuned for it, or if you have any other modifications to your motor that would require the higher density air flow!
I honestly wonder the budgets that a lot of these guys have for their builds because damn
That was around 50k, full ridetech, willwoods, rack and pin, built TSP LS3, strange rear end and some other goodies
@@SalvagetoSavage I still prefer a sbc or bbc I'm partial to old school power I'm currently daily driving a 4 barrel sbc in my blazer it's reliable rain or shine and less of a wiring nightmare
Wow that was was?
I hope that big block gets bored, stroked, converted to fuel injection and twin turbos... if you guys aren't up to it, send it to Power Nation, they'll happily do it.
Yah we don’t have a use for it, but if power nation wants it I’d be happy to sell it to them
