Central locking on ALL vehicles will not prevent you opening the doors from the inside. It is as others have mentioned a safety device. Dead locks will prevent anyone opening the doors from the inside but that is incredibly dangerous to use with anyone inside the care at ANY time.
* Rear doors can be opened in all VW vehicles, it's a normal safety feature. It's standard security thing. It is not a drawback at all * Mileage is not even a question, if you need that power and performance, you shouldn't think about mileage
Agree bro but when you have a small kid in your call it really becomes a drawback as the kids can anytime open the gate.. so I always have to keep the child lock on as my kid doesn't sit on the child seat. Mileage is not an issue for me at all as I love the driving dynamics of this car but I mentioned it in my review as its an imp factor for many
After owning a T-Roc (from new) for almost a year now (approx 7K miles) I feel I can be fairly objective about the vehicle. The build quality is excellent and the driving position comfortable, sound insulation good and an excellent sound system, economy is also very good however it has a dark side. I think the car is let down badly by some of the software used to 'string it together'. For my sins I bought and automatic (DSG) and although the engine is sweet and has huge reserves of power it seems incapable of using any of it without 'kick down'. There is a distinct lack of progression between 40-45 MPH and safely overtaking another vehicle at say 60MPH, huge flat spot, lack of turbo boost perhaps? On selecting cruise control (ACC) there should be a large illuminated sign on the back saying ' caution I may act totally irrationally ' I never use it now it is too dangerous to anyone following. It would be useful to be able to switch off (permanently) things like lane centering which on Scottish roads has you constantly fighting with the steering wheel then tells you to put both hand on the wheel and take control of the vehicle!!!!!! There are many other software related problems which to my mind spoil what has the potential to be an excellent family car. It may be up for sale very soon.
I agree with the point related to power. There is definitely a lag when turbo kicks in but that's a behavior which I have seen in most of the Turbo charged engines. I shift to sports mode when need a power kick to overtake on highways. Luckily the version that we got here in India post 2021 doesn't have Cruise control and ADAS features like lane assist and drive assist so I anyhow have to control the car myself.
I got new t-roc. There is new lock they introduce for child. You unlock from outside not from inside. There is switch inside door. You have to rotate it with car key.
Yes dear.. its the child lock.. I had to keep it enabled all the time for my child's safety when I had T Roc.. I sold it few months back and bought Scorpio N
@@indiaversysrider that's a real pity. Maybe it can still be installed. A google search shows some kits which add regular cruise control, but I also see there's a firm here which adds the adaptive variant, maybe you can find it India as well...

Open your rear doors and you can turn the child locks on they are half way down the inside of the door
Yes I am using that only.. but then everytime someone has to open the door from outside if child lock is enabled
No cruise control? Maybe in India? Mine does have cruise control, adaptive cruise control... you can set the distance to the car in front of you.
That's awesome.. but in India it's imported as CBU (completely built unit) they must have removed it to keep the cost under control.

@@grtxyz4358 Yes it can be done but that voids the warranty hence can't install 😔
@@indiaversysrider pity, but your waranty is just a couple years, or is it longer in India.?
@@grtxyz4358 It's default 4 yrs which can be extended to 6 yrs or 1.5 lacs kms
Why there is no cruize control and auto braking??
Mostly to keep the cost low I guess.
Thanks Shikhar. I don't think you really needed your notes :):)
