    I had no teacher to learn from until I came across your teachings. Since then I have acknowledged you as my teacher through RUclips. 多谢老师。 老师 我要两个问题。第一 what is the difference between 后边 和 后面?
    第二 what is the difference between 看书 和 读书?

    • @AskAndy
      @AskAndy  Год назад +2

      不客气:)
      1.后边 is more often used in northern part of China while 后面 is in the southern part of China.
      2.看书 is reading books silently while 读书 is reading books out loud.

    what does
    本作
    Běn zuò means?
    In google translation it shows "This work" but recently I have seen a drama called love between fairy and devil where " 本作 Běn zuò " this term has used a lot which they mean I, in my opinion. Please clarify my confusion. Thanks in advance.

    • @AskAndy
      @AskAndy  Год назад +1

      It's ancient Chinese and that's why google translate doesn't work for it. You can take it as "I" for a king or queen to adress himself or herself

    • @petehoover6616

      It means "to write a book" in Japanese. In Japanese the counting word for something and the name word for something is reversed from Chinese often. The Japanese suffixes are dropped but the Japanese word order (SOV) has been preserved.

    Your channels are really helpfyul to learning Mandarin. However, I guess all languages have their inconsistencies with translations. In English if someone ask "which dress is best?" and someone answers "chabuduo" meaning more ore less. I'm afraid this would not make any sense in any shape or form. The person asking the question would just say "uh, what do you mean, almost?" However, I think 98% of the material is great stuff and worth learning from. Thank you.
