- HEY EVERYONE! Hope your all having a great one, In this vid I'll be comparing the starter characters in Dandy's World and who you should choose.

Boxten: the more players alive each floor, faster extraction. (Including Boxten Himself)
Poppy: when hit, gains a massive speed boost for a few seconds, only works 2 times (unless you have a medkit/bandaid)
Actually, Boxten’s Ability includes himself in the calculation, meaning if Poppy and Boxten were in separate solo matches, Boxten would still have a higher extraction speed than Poppy (at the cost of not being able to run faster after being hit)!

Yes and you have to get hit to activate poppy’s ability which is the thing you wanna do the least.
@@JaceKleidonPoppy is better for newer players, which 70% of for some reason just walk DIRECTLY into the Twisteds (I know that Poppy has a Mastery Quest of getting hit 30 times, but I did it on accident and also it doesn’t help the fact that Boxtens do the same thing lol)
@@copycat500well, Poppy is only good for VERY NEW beginners that doesnt know anything about the game at all. but then, she is extremely BAD on other players view. Since they rely on their passive too much to escape twisted (which cost literally a heart) so when they try other characters they will have troubles. While boxten, he might not be good for very new beginners, but if you at least know the basic of the game you will quickly sees his potential more than Poppy. And at least, he has high extraction while Poppy arent
Boxten, becomes INSANELY fast at extracting with 7 players, Poppy only gains a speed boost once hit for like, 2 seconds.

I say poppy for solo and boxten if your doing multiplayer. So poppy is better for solo because lets say you get hit you can get away significantly easier than boxten could. and for boxten his extraction speed is op with 8 players. (Srs he literally nearly reaches 5 star with 8 people) overall just depends if you want to do machines or want more survivability.
(Coming back now poppy might be better for *BRAND NEW* players as they get hit way more so the passive would help them more than boxtens would)

This is why i picked Poppy lol, i knew i was gonna play solo ( cuz thats what i do in most games ) and picked her for her ability when i started the game
In my opinion boxten is good for teams (more specifically teams with more then 5) and poppy is decent for solo I guess because the speed boost poppy gets after getting attacked is a nice way to get away but when you get hit the twisteds get stunned temporarily giving people with 3 stars movement speed able to get away and maybe even 2 stars so poppys ability isn't that great unless your being chased by one fast twisted (pebbles) and another slow one I guess but boxtens passive is what makes him good in teams since with atleast in a team or 7 (including boxten) boxten has around the same extraction speed as VEE and combined with other trinkets, boxten is really good at extracting granted the fact there's atleast 5 other team members alive but the problem with boxtens passive ability is he really shines in teams of 7 or 8 so.when there's less members its better for boxten to just die, so in my opinion poppy for solo, boxten for teams.

Pick Poppy if you want better survivability & a built-in clutch for escaping Twisteds, & pick Boxton if you want greater potential extraction speed, & are a team player.
To briefly compare: Boxton is great for grinding Ichor compared to Poppy, & his Wind-Up passive makes him valuable in runs where there are a sizable amount of teammates; he overall has greater potential because of this. Though, I will also say that Poppy is better for solo runs, as her Panic Pop ability means she’ll have a better time de-aggro-ing Twisteds & overall having an easier time dealing with them.
Even besides all of that, they both have solid, all-rounder stats, (they’re both 3 Stars across the board) & the choice between them is practically up to preference.
I was a boxten my 3 teammates died at the first floor- I SOLOED TILL FLOOR 9 *machine manual and pink bow was my trinkets*
I soloed with boxten till floor 16
I Soloed to 13 w/ Boxten With Only the Wrench, and Got a Dandy

Boxten: for poppy’s ability to activate you have to be hit
Boxten is by far the best all you need is good teammates and you can rival vees extraction speed
Well poppy wins for just using trinkets and items so now final round who ever won is best starter character this round will be solo no trinkets no items who ever have most floors wins
Boxten also used the same trinkets as Poppy.
Rng is also a factor since there could be pebbles at floor 5
boxten is the best starter character since you need ichor to get toons

boxten iirc can extract 8% faster than vee if his ability is fully done with enough people, making him better than poppy because poppy is very situational and it usually ends up not being that worth it anyways

Better at the start, and newbies can survive a little bit longer

Hard to newbies understand his mechanic, pretty easy to die

idk, i picked boxten as my starter and understood his mechanic rather quickly. even with my laggy laptop i got his vintage pretty quick, i think the only other toons i had were shrimpo and rodger at the time. maybe thats just me tho, idk

Newbies can easily understand boxten's passive and they are NOT going to use poppy's passive properly 😭
I personally think that Poppy is better for Newer/less experienced players because newer/less experienced players tend to get hit more often, especially if your team doesn’t have Pebble or Goob.

It really depends on the player, if they’re a total noob and scared of everyone and will play solo. Poppy is a good choice because of the speed boost but if not… choose boxten.

Also, no, boxten is NOT the best, he sucks If you play solo, and If you know correctly, his passive is do machines faster for each toon alive, then his passive is USELESS in solo

I liked Poppy better because of her ability. In my opinion, for new players, they should more of focus on themselves than the team. Since they are new, they should be more focused on surviving than completing machines. I'm not saying that completing machines is not important, I just think that if the new player survives more, they'll experience more. Also, the ability is useful when you run out of stamina and are being chased by a twisted. It gives you that extra boost you need to get away.

tbh i find that it depends on what you prioritize, machines or living

I chose poppy, but I think boxten is better if you want to help ur team . Also my uncle played this game and he got to floor 16 just using poppy. WHY NOT MEEE
I think it depends on the number of people you play with, Boxten depends on having 8 people to play with to be actually good (generally all 8 won't last much on the same run), poppy is more usefull for solo runs and can be helpfull even if she isn't doing a solo run, also she can use the med kits and bandages as items to get away from chases, so there goes a point for poppy.
Boxten needs a specific scenario to be good but he can be a lot better than poppy if the situation is the correct for him.
Poppy ends being more consistent than boxten as she doesn't depend on teammates
So who is better? As I said at the start, depends on who you are going to play (I would say poppy is better for people who are just STARTING to play as her skills help to scape and new players usually struggle with that)

For me are 2 starter toons but are 2 different type of toons shelly it's a survivalist because the passive ca be used in solo....boxten need to be in a team so I can't decide but If I do a preference, I prefer poppy

I honestly played the game for the first time, and boxten is superior, i survived 20 floors😭

honestly i think both starters are good, eitherway any poppies or boxten with the vintage skin is probably a average player or pro, without the ones with the vintage can either be pro still or either dog water, and im serious.
Boxten actually has a role
Boxten is actually better than 4 star extraction speed in some cases. A full team would give boxten a 1.48 extraction speed, while 4 star extraction speed toons lole rodger only have a 1.20 extraction speed rate. Not sure if its better than vee but he could be on par with her

poppy’s is not. new players usually wander around the map, and 2 seconds is not enough to wander. 5 or 7 seconds would be a better fit for boxten and poppy to be equals

Tbh poppy's ability isn't that good. Sure it's good for escaping but you have good enough stealth to just hide from the twisteds... Idk how else you can use it like why would you intentionally hurt yourself for a speed boost or something like that??? I value extraction speed more (i may be biased tho im a pebble main eheh)

@@minikalicansu291 Yes but it causes you to lose a heart. And at any other time she's basically passiveless. The goal of the game is to stay alive so I'm sure they'd be smart enough to hide from the twisteds for survival
