I dont understand what people want. Valve cant make it right for 90% of the community. Either they realease some buggy and unfinished update and everyone is mad on them. If they dont realease it and work on it, everyone is mad at them and people say that they get the tf2 treatment. Same for anticheat and other general things like movement.
i agree with you id rather a finished item not a buggy mess but this is one they shouldn't have messed up the date hasn't changed, the birthday is the birthday and its a big one something like this shouldn't have had a mess up. but it has and hopefully it gets sorted fast.

I'm just curious since everyone was set on it releasing on the anniversary but I havent seen anything to support that other than the timing.
When u know its ur partner anniversary u plan 1 day or before or a week or two in advance? Valve doesn't care about CS2, simple as that. Don't try to give any other lame logic behind their ignorance to hide their mistake.

I want to clarify DPR updates are builds that Valve uploads to Steam, NOT every time Valve makes a new build. These can be used for privating beta tests, Steam integration testing (achievements, item drops, etc...). They can make builds whenever they want without a new DPR update.

It's the same thing I think and I'm saying. If there are more than 1 dev update at time of release, it means a bad bug or performance issue have found at end of testing and they need to fix it. I hope it will before saturday, I will be on holiday next week so i'd like to see the update before!

like it or not, half life is valve's first masterpiece which allowed them to create everything else including counterstrike making half life's anniversary significantly more important to valve. we might just not get as big of a celebration sadly. i personally dont think Gabe Newel/other key people at valve are as passionate about counterstrike as they were about developing the other titles.

Everyone speculating why valve is giving cs such a small team but as a game designer myself, I can say it makes sense because more people = more chaos. Furthermore are ideas from every dev considered and talked over instead of a task list that everyone has to complete it they want or not.
They just want to get bigger hype train, to get more attention from people, which means more money for them.Even if they found some bugs and other stuff now, its their fault becouse when you know that it will be 25th anniversary and you will release an update, why do they found bugs that late.They should have it already prepared for update and not finding shit at the last minute of release.

I hope we get some good competitively viable maps to play, but I also hope we get some interesting maps from the community like back in the day. Maps where maybe it's not super balanced, but it's got something really unique about the layout. Like Mist, or Blackgold. Stuff like that.

You cried when it released bugged, now you’re crying because they’re testing and fixing it to avoid that same mistake.
For some context: Valve is a private limited company not a publicly listed company, which may mean they want to have a closer relationship between employees, if they decided to spend more money on employees for example it may mean that things become more hectic and the original image or inspiration for things may deviate due to the sheer number of people. My thoughts are that they want to keep the same number of employees so that they know they are on the same page. Money would solve this issue and it would also cause another separate issue aswell.

I think Valve cannot push operation because the requirement to run the game is still high. an operation with a bigger map would kill most of the user's fps. if 80 percent of players have an expensive setup running at an average of 600 fps in premier then valve can release the operation. my opinion only. if valve releases an operation. it will not be the same as CS Go operation meaning that there will not be a danger zone map.

But they must pass by with the same game that they released half finished and they are still correcting basic errors 1 year later, the update must have so many last minute errors that they could not release it on time. Furthermore, I'm not talking about what we want, but rather what they should. I don't know if you know that before launching CSGO they released approximately 5 CS games and none of them were successful, the saga almost died. They don't take care of the product. It is a lack of respect for the player that they didn't even put a hat on the chickens at Christmas. Now they couldn't even meet a special date that their entire community was waiting for. Honey... she's like your girlfriend, if you don't take care of her, she'll go with someone else to take care of her.
