What it like
Well what's it like?
This model has only just become available in the UK & it seems to be a model that is in-between the 745 & 845, which is a fantastic choice from TCL Europe. Like the 845 or QM8 state side, it is a mini led quantum dot TV, but without the onkyo subwoofer & just slightly less peak brightness than the 845 but is still extremely bright at 1300 nits. Being a mini led TV it is also a step up from the very good full array local dimming 745, still a great choice too but it has to be said, it is great to see TCL has listened to the public opinion. Most people will use a TV now a days with a soundbar so TCL has made a great choice with this TV by dropping the cost slightly, removing the 2.1 sound system & going to a 2.0 system, (still onkyo),meaning you can still get a mini led tv, with a VA panel, at a fantastic price, well done TCL.

I have purchased the 55inch model & with my 4k uhd Blu-ray player films look absolutely stunning, whether it be in HDR, Dolby Vision or IMAX enhanced. I have a darts related channel, as in the indoor board game but I will, as a 1 off, be doing a review of this TV in the next couple of weeks because it is just a fantastic product at a great price here in the UK
So, am I correct in thinking that the QM8 isn't available in the UK? I'm looking at replacing my projector and 100" screen in my cinema room with a TV of similar size, and all the reviews are pointing me towards a QM8, but I can't see it listed on the TCL website, or for sale anywhere over here. Is the C805K the best option in the UK? Do you have any experience with TCL reliability? All of the TVs in my other rooms are LG so I have no experience with these more budget sets.
This miniled is so much better that qled, what is yours calibration settings?
Hi. I can't find information anywhere about the number of local dimming zones. Does anyone know how many there are here? The displayspecification mentions 384, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. Thanks!

@@andrewcox9054i use it at 50% of brightness, if i go above it’s toi much (the tv is in my bedroom, i use it in the dark the most part of the time)

I read on their website: 75 inch: 1300 and 1500 nits for 85 and 98 inch ;)

This is the amazons version of C745 tlc need to change the kernel to a official instead of a modded kernel version what has alterations why the kernel -dirty near the end about tv in settings system the cog wheel next to profile where will find

The motion smoothing is a massive letdown on streaming.
Same with upscaling and noise filtering shrn watching 1080p stream.
The brightness is nothing near QN90A imo.
Just buy it

Everything will be ok with these Tv's but unfortunately TCL dont give a deum ... about customers/owners . There's no such a thing like an Update for Bugs / Gliches / Errors . Every model got problems and nobody cares about it , their main goal is to sell it , what gonna happen later doesn't matter ... people are waiting a months for refunds and Warranty doesn't help too for some reason . 80% of rewievs generated by AI ... To make it look so positive.
OS related issues won’t bother me, since i will use an apple tv anyways.
When your warranty is covered by Argos you won't care about any of this because Argos will box you off for all accidental damages, repairs and breakdown for about £7 a month and their customer service is absolutely fantastic
If you are talking about os, one who buys expensive TV will definitely buy a steaming device

Pokajao sam se što ssm kupip TCL....tehnički podrški korisnika ne možeš dobiti nikako ....na 23 meila mi nisu ništa odgovorili....nema ažuriranja tv skoro godinu dana....u obradi slike u 50 sličica u sekundi tv zastajkuje blokira....

65" još Qled...ma niđe veze svega mi .....jednostavno procesor mu je preslab...jedino što ima stvarno dobre boje....a ostalo loše....
