Dear Arroz Nonas story is one of the most heartbreacking I know. I have been following since 2016 and I remember when Nona asked for your help. It's so sad that she never will have another baby. Wish when people want to interfere that they would let the younger females go and instead take some of the olders. I would prefer that humans don't interfere at all 😪
The problem is there is not a predator ballance to keep their numbers down. So the government started a sterilization program to do that. They catch the humanized ones. The ones that come for the regular feeders. Unfortunately they catch some smart ones and end that line of genes. If people didn't feed them they would naturally regulate their breeding according to food supply. People are very good at messing up nature's ballance.

The human intervention via sterilization has taken away the hope of so many and inadvertently turned some into baby killers. Not that those running the sterilization program give a damn.😡 Ever since I started watching in 2016 I have been heartbroken for these poor females who have had their purpose in life taken from them.😔 Thank you for telling their story Arroz.🙏
@@PamPreston78 they don't usually fall at that age. They're very adept at climbing by then, but anything is possible. A weak branch could give way, or rough play could cause a fall to happen.
I'm sure they do in most cases. They are usually close to the babies, so if one has a bad fall they are around. His mum in the end abandoned his remains at the base of the Kowloon Reservoir Dam on Golden Hill Road. I have to say that the Cambodian cameramen, at least bury a dead baby's body, and there are long protracted videos of this.

I understand the program to cut back on to many babies, but surely it would be better to ask the people who document these troups what kind of mother these individuals are
Isn't Bo the one that causes alot of baby issues in the group?
Sadly we now know that Bo was a bigger killer of babies than any car on the road.🥺 Not through malice but that very strong urge to be a mother they all have. The human intervention via sterilization has taken away the hope of so many and inadvertently turned some into baby killers. Not that those running the sterilization program give a damn.😡 Ever since I started watching in 2016 I have been heartbroken for these poor females who have had their purpose in life taken from them.😔
Thank you for telling their story Arroz.🙏
You have no clue! They overpopulated the area. There are to many of them!
AM, You know who took her? Can you possibly get her back?
It was several years ago.
There's only one explanation when a baby that age disappears like that...Nova surely died an accidental death, most likely hit by car.
@@hollisblinn7910 I often wonder if they fall out it trees back in the forest.
@@PamPreston78 they don't usually fall at that age. They're very adept at climbing by then, but anything is possible. A weak branch could give way, or rough play could cause a fall to happen. Usually, though, it's the tinier babies who die from a fall due to a careless mother, a kidnapping situation, etc.
I think you mean "Nova", that is the little monkey that disappeared. "Nona" is the mother. "Nana" is the grandmother.

Hey, are you the same guy that did the story of Stormy, the bb monkey?
That's JW
@@gabriellaalvarado616 Correct. JW is a different cameraman or woman that videos on Monkey Hill in HK. There are a number of others.
Utterly cruel. More of man’s derogatory interference in nature. 😡
Quite query Nona's sterilization is being made at so young age, different from others comparative older🤔。And query why don't relocate Bo?🤔
Do the mom’s sometimes know what happened to their babies even if the humans don’t know?
I'm sure they do in most cases. They are usually close to the babies, so if one has a bad fall they are around. I'm sure stuff happens in the thick of trees, and of course AM can only see what happens when he visits.
If a baby gets an infection the mum will know something is wrong, and the bay is dying but probably won't understand what an infection is 😢
@@Danceswithfishes the stats are: 20% of babies die in the first 6 months from birth from: accidents, malnutrition or a infection. This increases to 32% after 6 months when the babies become more independent from their mothers. This info comes from one of the research papers, based on field studies, viewable online, that has been pier reviewed. Also road kill and fatal falls are high on the list. AM did video on this its called Q&A retained placenta and infant mortality, it's on his Arroz Marisco channel. He analyses the baby deaths on a year by year basis in the troops he videos, in HK. The only (sad) down side is that after a few days a mum will abandon her dead babies body, and certainly that was the case with Stormy videoed by JW, Stormy died from an infection, back in Nov 2021, IIRC. His mum in the end abandoned his remains at the base of the Kowloon Reservoir Dam on Golden Hill Road. I have to say that the Cambodian cameramen, at least bury a dead baby's body, and there are long protracted videos of this.
I need bossy troop if it's too much for you im good i appreciate all you've let me realize ❤
❤
That's so sad they killed the blood line, that is so messed up the sadness in her eyes.made me cry for her and her family 😢😢
I know there are packs of dogs running rampant throughout the park could they be killing the little ones? Why are they not being sterilized?
VOs killed the baby
Find it odd if this little one got hit by a car someone would of found blood or body laying next to the road. Weird none go missing overnight just when the VO's "are not around "
Did a person kill her baby?
Could have been road kill, or a fatal fall.
Y can't they keep the good family's together
like Nona's
I feel so sad for them, when their purpose is to raise babies for the troop, they look so lost 😔
Oh no, a sad one…?
Hi Pam
@@debvit2353👋🏻
Nona for sure was trying to get your help. Lowina sure as hell wasn't goin to do anything. She just there not good or bad..useless really. Poor Nona was distraught and wanted someone to listen and help. I've watched since your beginning and your hands down the best monkey channel on RUclips. I would love to see you recognized for it. A model for other channels to follow. Some are horrible and I always feel like I can't do a thing to help.
Population control at Monkey Hill is rough. Are there other ways?
That is so damn cruel. Y don't they pick on mothers like Nora who should not have a baby.omg so sad.
Etf happened
That’s so sad . Humans interfering with the monkey families . Next it will be done with humans .
Nona looks dejected at losing Nova, who survived only a few years. How heartbreaking. Exactly how did Nova meet her end? 🙊🙈
I think Nova was young. Maybe not even a year? Possibly a road accident? Strange the feeders didn't report on it though.
I so so 😡 ïat those people that keep taking the monkeys and taking they life away from them cuz having babies that's there life😢 . they need to stop doing this to they'd poor monkey .
It's just so unfair and sad!
Can they reverse the sterilization? This is such a disruption of life’s energy.
If it's anything like cat sterilization - then no 😞
She looks so and lost my heart bleeds with her and their family.😭😭😭

In mountain hill the best area for monkeys people shouldn’t interfere ever
pft hahahahaha
They need a consultant to research the troops before they sterilize any macaque. They should talk to yo A.M.!
It is sad why do they sterilize mothers to be. Is that not cruel.
I believe in sterization but only certain ones....the bad ones...why would they sterilized a young one...and such a good mother?? Like whomever mentioned above me...they should ask before they sterilize....ask the people that actually know these monkeys. This story is SO sad.
Yea, see that really upsets me. The people in that do the sterilizing have to kno there r plenty of different feeders etc. they could talk to, actually, SHOULD talk to before just grabbing any old female an doing that to them, give them the ones that r god awful mothers, what kind of sense does that make? Show of hands if u agree the answer is totally Gypsy, between Nona an Gypsy, who should be the one to be sterilized? No doubt gypsy, she's an absolutely terrible mother. Also, Nora, I'm so tired of seeing her treat her babys so cruelly u til they die, an u can not tell me she doesn't kno what she's doing. She is fully aware
