I bought one from banggood and I love it after watching your review, thankyou, what fantastic value for money, It’s aimed at the hobbyist and is perfect for occasional use.
You sir are a "Man of All Seasons": Guitar player and writer of cool music!!!!!! Great review, but it is a little tough to get past mixing an accurate meter with a Bluetooth speaker. The world is getting a bit stranger every day!
Great review Bill! Looking forward to a review of the East Tester. I'm looking at cheaper bench DMMs too, like the East Tester, Vichy VC8145, or maybe Owon XDM2042
really nice review. thanks. you showed me the response to capacitors where some meters are very clunky. this one looks very capable. the speakers would make a great signal tracer if there was an audio input. maybe i could use an old phone with a mic input as a blue tooth audio probe.
Good review, I have one of these and like it a lot. It would be interesting if you had a third column of results using the DE-5000 LCR Meter with the 4-wire Kelvin leads. It should be the most accurate of the three units. I use the AN-888S almost exclusively when I'm restoring radios and checking voltages and resistors that may need replacing. I use the DE-5000 to check capacitors our of circuit, including new units just to be sure. When using the 4-wire Kelvin leads and calibrated before use it is a lot more accurate than any of us hobbyists need.
Are you going to get the AN999S ? Same meter but I think you can transfer data via Bluetooth and it talks. Personally I wish they made one that didn't have the Bluetooth speaker.
Myself I had no use for the bluetooth gimmick and hate the fact the clock is only 24 hour with no 12 hour setting option as im not in the military so have no use for it - also the temp defaults to C* and I have to change it to F* every time I turn it on, but im an old guy that grew up in the US so im used to Fahrenheit. BUT - I love the 20,000 count EBTN display , its overall build quality is excellent, accuracy is very good and I found mine for just under $50 on sale and I think its got to be one of the best values out there for a beginner or hobbyist bench meter. Even if it didnt have the bluetooth and other ancillary gimmicks on the secondary round screen I still feel the meter section itself would be worth the price due to the quality and accuracy. I even noticed the input jacks have a nice tight click type grip on the leads, only thing one might do is add a nice set of silicone leads to top off the overall quaity feel and youve got an excellent beginner or hobbyist meter or even a backup meter for a pro. To me its worst fault is having to use a long screwdriver and crack the case if one needs to change a fuse, but im ok with that as im careful and rarely if ever blow one.
I’m from Brazil 🇧🇷... the best video that I watched about this multimeter.
Good job 👏
Great review. Looks to be a real value for how accurate it is. Aneng is getting a good reputation for how good their quality is.

By far the best reviews I have seen ever

Thank you. I am on a steep learning curve with the ET3240!

Looks like a descent product. Cheers Bill 👍
Thanks Bill for this interesting review 👍
Thanks for your review. Regards from Indonesia
Nicely done comparison.
Well it read the values wow the Bluetooth is playing a song? Can you specify how many Decimal places to read out loud?
If you're repairing modern audio equipment, having a Bluetooth speaker in your test gear kinda makes sense.
Great Review.... Subbed.

Not planning to get the 999s!
I never really used the bluetooth feature.
hello, does it have peak hold? does Rel. works for all the ranges?
Compared to the ANENG 620 and the ANENG 618? Which one has the Better Advantage when it comes to Features and Accuracy,
Hands on look at the Aneng 620 coming soon...
Thanks for an informative video. You've earned a like and subcribe :-)
Never blown a multimeter fuse in 50 years !!?? Uh-huh.......😀👍
