Drones shows were supposed to be a good substitute for fireworks. Better for pets, wildlife, ppl with sensory issues and safer. In 2023 there were 9,700 Americans who were admitted to the ER due to injuries from fireworks and 8 died. And one kid gets injured from a drone and everyone loses their minds. Where is the outcry about fireworks???
Ome issue is bad enough and nearly impossible to control. The other issue is new and can be stopped right away. Why would it make sense for us to just accept a risk we did not have before? Like we already have it from fireworks, and you think that means we should add another category of injuries?
@@Jameskelvin89 no, it means eliminating the problem that carries more inherent risks. It’s fireworks and it’s not even close. But doing that of course would require real change, something America and Americans don’t like doing. So you’d rather go, “Ooo, new thing, technology, scary, ban it and make go away”. Look, we all feel terrible for that little boy in Florida and pray he makes a full recovery. But countless people are injured, maimed, and killed by fireworks every year. Lives are lost, homes burned, property damaged…..and hardly a call for change 🤷♂️.
As if fire works don't do the same on a larger scale. Jul 4, 2024 - At least 4 fireworks deaths and dozens of injuries have been reported across the U.S. during this year's July Fourth celebrations alone. A "faulty fireworks display" during the Simi Valley Rotary Club's annual celebration, resulted in injuries to at least 35 people. Fireworks started an estimated 31,302 fires in 2022, including 3,504 structure fires, 887 vehicle fires, 26,492 outside fires, and 418 unclassified fires.
I SPECULATE that the issue with the drone in Orlando was something like a RF jam or hack, perhaps the perpetrator didn’t even know for sure that the thing even was going to do anything or even a hack on the drone company’. Since there still a risk that someone could manipulate or jam this drones, it’s completely understandable and reasonable from the FAA to stop these shows. . . drones here, unknown ones there on NJ, . . .it’s incredible how complex airspace is, being as bast as it is.
I think it's more likely that the company just took on too much risk. Flying over/too close to the crowd, adding too many drones too close together, possibly not leaving enough margin for wind, etc. And considering they've done many successful shows, that probably lead them to feel confident in the risks.
Seems like they need better control software. Since it's so important the should open source their code so that anyone an perform a code audit. Multiple drones fell so it might not be simple mechanical failure.
Sooooo one accent and now the other shows have to be cancel oh please....whatever yea sorry for the boy but there are other children WHO have died from different accidents so yea..
Seriously canceling the drones from Dallas? Out of one isolated incident in Florida. It’s been fine and thousands of drone shows happen all the time with success and one fails and everyone gets scared and ends it. Smh
This was some a hole using a gps or drone signal scrambler during the show. The FCC should be able to confirm this along with local ham radio operators.
My biggest fear is that drones can be jammed electronically so how do you prevent hackers or even terrorists from purposely causing havoc and injuries at these type of events 🫨
Poor little guy. I hope for him a speedy recovery ❤️🩹.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ Why are you laughing 🤣 about a kid getting hit with a drone?

With professional fireworks shows, the crowd is a safe distance and doesn't get injured. That's the difference.
@@skibbidy-boo-bippity-bopYour ignorance is telling.

Don't worry, the Jersey drone shows won't be cancelled!!!!!
These shows dont need to be canceled but rules put in place to never fly the drones near anyone. They fall sometimes and the operators know this.
Imagine canceling drone shows and banning drones after they tell us drones present no threat

In Hong Kong, we had several drone shows cancelled over the Victoria harbour in September and October because of gps signal problems caused by clouds.
Those parents need to sue that company.
They need to be deported
A 7 year old boy was on a gofundme page that people on tiktok worldwide created a fundraiser for a hospitalized boy who was shot to death by a drone

Ya sabotage from overseas
Sky Elements: dollar store quality drones
I never would have expected that launching explosive incendiary devices into the air (fireworks) would be safer than drones, yet here we are.

1 person and you cancel all shows ... Pathetic.
These drones were attacked by someone using a jammer.
