The only real reason that I'm not going to pull for Astra is that I feel the future of the games meta is very undecided atm. Going through the next couple versions and into the 2.0s I figure that a lot may change. My current teams are pretty easilly clearing content so I don't feel the need to have Astra.

Except that her best team is between miyabi which is a disorder burst team in which she is purely a support bot and Evelyn lighter chain attack spam which once again she is a support bot. In her zhu yuan team she has low AM and you won't run AM as a disc nor as a WENGINE so you might even lose out on ether set anomaly bonus as Nicole HEAVILY helps apply ether onto ALL enemies.
Mna, pulling on Miyabi, her weapon, and then this back-to-back is gonna be one hell of a doozy. I got pretty damn lucky by getting Miyabi and her weapon on two 50/50s. Dunno if I can manage a third miracle in a row. Hopefully I'll have 180 pulls prepped though.
Astra an Evelyn kits were released like a month ago. Astra basically buffs quick assist an gives buffs to her team. She has an ability that turns quick assists into chain attacks. All her attacks are mid to long range aoe. An she has 2 modes reg stance an singing stance which change some of her abilities

Objectively speaking from what we know now, Void Hunters are going to be leaps and bounds ahead of "regular" offense agents. Given the increase in difficulty and assuming this curve is going to follow a similar trend, any limited support or defense characters will likely be useful and stay useful. Especially when they provide insane shields or heals. Astra will be the highest value pick among Caesar and Miyabi up to that point. That much is for certain. And if we're talking hardest content in the game, which currently is endless tower, Caesar and Astra are arguably higher value picks than Miyabi. I almost expect that endless tower will not be the last ultra high difficulty mode and it probably wont be the hardest for long.
I agree that the top agents are Miaybi and Ceaser as of now. Time will tell if Astra is up there (I also have all support characters expect Ceaser). Will wait before her release on whether I should pull her or go all in for M4 Miyabi.
Thought that I was gonna skip Miyabi for Astra Yao, especially since I have a guaranteed saved, but then I tried the duo team of just Miyabi and Yanagi, and decided that I needed her lol. I'll still try to go for Astra Yao, as I've been waiting for her since before she was announced, but she's wayy more uncertain now.

If she has 55% crit rate stats then it will be 100%. Higher crit damage is better for her.
I don't think I will have a lot left after the Miyabi banner, but I'll definitely pull for Astra Yao. Partly because she's probably as useful as Caesar, but mostly because she's gorgeous. I'll be honest, the ZZZ girls are mostly either cute or hot (and sometimes both) which is fine, but we haven't seen a truly beautiful woman like her so far. Only Rina comes close, but even she can't surpass Astra's elegance and beauty. Ah glad to see someone who uses the Cute/Hot/Beautiful triangle. I agree the girls are either cute or hot but Astra is in that rare beautiful category. Unfortuntely I don't pull for waifu but for characters that look like a long term investment. She might be that investment though.
A good argument for her future potential but for someone that's already built full teams that can clear the new game mode Deadly Assault, it's a tough sell. A lot of people are probably tapped out after Miyabi. Players might not feel the need for her if they already got Miyabi and a strong team to go with her too. Moreover, Nicole already fills the ether support agent slot even as an A-rank. As a low-spend player, I think I'd get the most value from getting agents that fill a combination of element/class that I don't have. Such as a physical stun, ether stun and ether anomaly. I also would rather save/pull for an agent that really appeals to me such as their personality, aesthetics and gameplay feel. Unfortunately for Astra Yao, I'm not really feeling it. Evelyn looks pretty good in terms of style/vibes but I already have a Soldier 11 with 3 mindscapes.
Yeah I saw the full kit too, I think it's underwhelming for a limited 5 star support. I would rather have an support that just buffs damage greatly, than an all rounder who's slightly better than an M6 A rank.

Evelyn is an Attack character as I heard, so it makes sense if Astra is a crit based support, to sell both characters, heck even Zhu Yuan is an attack character rerunning with Evelyn, doesn't look like a coincidence
I hope ZZZ takes Genshin's design in their kits even at least with their supports where they'd still be relevant for a long time compared to HSR where you just feel anxious cause the powercreep is notorious. I hope HSR stablelize or else we'll have normal atks dealing 500k damage or whatever in a short amount of time
This is actually news for me and if Astra really does turn out to contibute towards crit based units then i guess im in luck? I don't S11 yet nor the other chars yet BUT i am buliding Harumasa's crit build atm sooooo.... Cool i guess?
If Astra ends up giving crit buffs then I'll pick her, but if it's just healing and other buffs then I'll pick Evelyn or I might even wait for new agents.

I feel like I’m one of the few who’s pulling Astra because of her character rather than her role in the meta… it’s super weird to me because I’ve already done the same thing with Caesar 😅 I hope to get Evelyn too, but that’s because I don’t have a fire DPS on my roster. Sure, her design is great, but I’m not really interested in her character if that makes sense.
As fun as Miyabi is I'm a little worried about what she means for ZZZ's future. The gap between her and everyone else is pretty big and I hope this doesn't become a common trend. At least not this early anyway.

As someone has seen her kit it’s mid asf it’s kinda useful but it’s mid she isn’t a must pull she heals like 1-2k and gives energy on chain attacks only 5 energy as of the most recent beta

Was gonna try and get M2 Miyabi but had some of the worst luck, so I just stopped with getting Miyabi and her W. Since i lost my last 50/50 I'm getting Astra guaranteed, hoping to get Evelyn too if I'm lucky enough

Astra buff atk, dmg, crit dmg so she is a power 3 dmg multipler (X * Y * Z) * dmg support M0 character. Her M1 debuff enemy element while her M2 buff your ultimate dmg so basically a support for big pp dmg players (basically for those that like to see 7 digit dmg). You need to use quick support to build up such number though- just see the discs made for her. Best to use her with another future S rank support character with crit dps agent if you want to see big pp dmg.
Fir me I’ll be pulling for her. But I don’t think they should just release a character to try and fix the attack character problem. If astra needs to be an every Attack team then how viable is it really to run? Attack just needs a buff not a bandage to cover it up.
I am gonna have to skip her to save up for Zhu Yuan rerun because I desperately need an ether damage dealer. So unless I get some insane RNG to pull her early AND win my 50/50 she’s gonna be a pass for me.
I’m going for both Astra and Evelyn, not getting Zhu Yuan is gonna hurt my soul but I know she’s gonna be powercrept so hard, I can feel it in my bones. I started playing right before Lighters banner left so I’m lacking all the premium S tiers except Miyabi and Harumasa, but if prepping for Honkai 3.0 has taught me anything it’s that reruns aren’t for new players, they’re for people that skipped the character the first time or missed their weapon. The only time a new player should go for a rerun is if it’s a cracked support (I’m pulling for Lingsha and Robin come 3.0) because DPS characters get phased out too quick. New players should focus on the new banners until they have solid team comps that reruns can supplement. Going for reruns just creates a feedback loop of you not having the pieces to make good teams for new content, since new content will be built with new agents in mind. This is all from the perspective of someone who cares about endgame and meta with money to spend though, if you don’t care about that then go for who you think is cool :)

I played the game at launch but didnt touch it during the entirety of patch 1.3 cus none of the characters really interested me. Only S ranks I pulled were Ellen to mog on a friend that couldnt get her and Jane cus I wasnt interested in any future chars. I like Eve so much im gonna pull astra just to team em up and if I dont get eve with my saved polys im dippin into the ol wallet, shes the first char I actually wanna pull.
Like her design. But I doubt she is going to be more impactful than Caesar. She might give you a bit more damage and might have a litte bit of sustain, but they will never give you something comparable to Caesar's on demand 5.7k shield.
I dabble in the meta, so for me, for Astra Yao, the make or break for her is if she's fun to play. I like playing as Jane and Miyabi and they just happen to be pretty strong. Most of the recent characters like Yanagi and Harumasa have been fun as well..........unless she REALLY buffs the crud out of my existing teams as I still can't reliably beast the last two nodes of Shibuya defense with 3 stars or get 3 stars on the abyssal sectors.
man this is tough I got 140 pulls safed up but I still want Zhu Yuan since I never played the game when she was out and when I first saw her and played through the game I fell in love with her character and love her being a sexy ass cop lady so idk if Ill have enough to get both Astra and Zhu Yuan should I skip Astra or get her and then get Zhu Yuan hopefully I'd get her. I dont have Caesar or Lighter I skipped lighter I did not play until Burnice came out so man its tough decisions what u all think I should do?
4 days until official kit reveal! As for me, I like characters that are either flexible, provide unique playstyles or a combination of both. If Astra is just a simple "Press EX Special for crazy buffs", it's a skip for me, regardless of how strong her buffs actually are. The endgame in ZZZ isn't hard enough I feel the need to pull for meta units.
So is her official kit actually out? I just never liked her design but its what I felt about Robin and she was prime example of support being extremely busted, if Astra gonna follow this example I would like to know exactly what is the theory on why shes good. Cuz Evelyn is still my main pick, I enjoy her design and looking at her more and hearing her JP voice made a want into a need.
Easy skip for me. I also have all the support agents leveled and they do their jobs just fine. I read over her kit, and while nice, doesn't really feel "limited" or a "must have". Definitely saving for future units.
Sparkle isnt really a Universal support. I have her E3S1 and i love her but i think Ruan Mei (as first Limited Harmony) has way more Teambuilding Options than Sparkle have since her buffs are more Universal.
While i really like the Design of almost every Character i really dont like the Attack Characters Movesets. All ATK Characters have something in their Kit that really annoys me. Nekomata with her increasing Back dmg, Soldier with the timed Attacks, Ellen with her weird Shark Mode. The first Character i really like in Terms of Gameplay is Harumasa.
I think astra is going to be a very needed character moving forward. Anomaly is gonna take a break after all with the release of miyabi tying the knot for last year’s meta.
It just depends on her kit honestly. Her character seems kinda a bit annoying to me. Dunno why but just a feeling. Im foremost a Billy Main then now Miyabi (+Grace & Rina) and Harumasa. But those teams are kinda fine.

ofc we will have other elements in future , maybe will astra also heal/regeneration state and buff all the team ? we will see. As a f2p i need to amplify my roaster of agents as much as i can. Somehow got m3-5 in 40 pulls. Astra is not a necessity anymore but still going for since I might as well go for the best miyabi teams i can build. Have have burnice/yanagi/burnice/koleda all at m1s1. Lycheon m0 w extra hellfire gears. And lucy/soukaku/piper/anby/nicole all at m6 with engine between w3-5. Asta would lock in a support that could be used for pretty much anyteam, but will probably be used for miyabi for Shinryu mostly. Again not necessary but rsther get her atleast m0w1 for future comps.

I actually disagree abt kazuha and i am still playing genshin. The thing is Genshin taught us to not waste resources on dps thats ok, but kazuha kept there because Nahida, Furina Xilonen, xianyun, came to the game soo much after (3 years aprox). If u see genshin`s meta kazuha lost value because crowd control is very useless against bosses which are the most popular type of enemy in the last at least 10 abysses. On the other hand he had little powercreeps incremented through time in terms of exploration with wanderer, chiori, kinich and chasca, mavuika etc, same situation where they took a lot of time (2 years of the game). Today kazuha is not garbage but replaced anyways by better units and i really dont think Hoyo will use the same formula from 4 years ago, zzz must be dinamyc and faster due to its context In despite of all the things mentioned Genshin is a game where u could use amber to clear the content back then, today almost every 5 star unit can clear the content easily since the game was designed like that. On the other hand i thought zzz should be the "harder" version of hoyos games but at the end it doesn't feel exactly like that so then Astra is totally not a must pull and there is no must pull character if they are not adding higher difficulty. Actually she kinda will totally nerf the infinite tower which was the hardest content to beat.
Still waiting for the creator server program tests from IWinToLose before deciding.. But knowing the leaks, well she's a tad bit better than Nicole but I guess difficult to play. That is why Nicole is still BIS in most team comps and dominates famous tier lists.

She doesn't seem anywhere near kazuha or ruan mei level. She gives atk, dmg% and crit dmg. These are all very common stats in this game. She has no resistance shred or deffense/pen%, which are the rare and more desirable stats. Ruan mei gave speed, damage, and break efficency. Speed is rare and massively impactful. Break efficency is unobtainable. Kazuha had the CC, res shred, and massive QOL over other anemo units. She will probably stay BIS for evelyn but I see her being easily replaced within a year.
Her ult heals the team. My terrible gaming skills require this for the tower. I will be pulling.

Quingyi is one of if not the best support agent in the game rn, even outclassing Caesar after she got that huge buff through ultimates.

My guess is that Astra would increase anomaly proficiency of allies so it would be easier for attack agents to do anomaly.
From the leaks I've watched, Astra buffs atk, crit dmg, and she can heal. She is perfect support for any attack dps agent, especially Zhu Yuan.

Yeah I saw the full kit too, I think it's underwhelming for a limited 5 star support. I would rather have an support that just buffs damage greatly, than an all rounder who's slightly better than an M6 A rank.

I hope ZZZ takes Genshin's design in their kits even at least with their supports where they'd still be relevant for a long time compared to HSR where you just feel anxious cause the powercreep is notorious. I hope HSR stablelize or else we'll have normal atks dealing 500k damage or whatever in a short amount of time

As fun as Miyabi is I'm a little worried about what she means for ZZZ's future. The gap between her and everyone else is pretty big and I hope this doesn't become a common trend. At least not this early anyway.

As someone has seen her kit it’s mid asf it’s kinda useful but it’s mid she isn’t a must pull she heals like 1-2k and gives energy on chain attacks only 5 energy as of the most recent beta
Another thing is Kazuha's gameplay is so stylish and satisfying. Hopefully Astra will be too. Just started playing this 1.4 and not pulling for Miyabi but for Astra and Eve so hoping I'm not gonna regret it lmao
Every character will have a rerun so pull for what you like, but i would recomend to pull miyabi just for a easy time on the hard content
Was gonna try and get M2 Miyabi but had some of the worst luck, so I just stopped with getting Miyabi and her W. Since i lost my last 50/50 I'm getting Astra guaranteed, hoping to get Evelyn too if I'm lucky enough
I guess we'll just have to wait to see what drops considering its gonna take a few more weeks before her actual kit drops, then i would make a decision but as of now idk if i want to pull for her, also considering i need Ellen for team comp and i want evelyn later on too, but i really want to see what her kit does and if she turns out to be ultimately essential, also her being an ether agent would probably mean you'd need some other ether agents in the roster too, zhu yuan is dropping with eveleyn later on but needing both jsut to make astra a lil bit more useful is kinda weird though i am pulling for zhu yuan so idk. also at least as of now i dont really like her design all that much either and well, eveleyn just wins in every regard in that case if you know what i mean lol. If astra turns out to be critical damage/rate support i'd probably reconsider
Astra provides only atk and heal - she is Bennett, not like Ruan Mei or Xilonen, and not even anemo boys, so she is boring, but powerful
I think she also provides a decoy for distraction too
That's why Miyabi is so busted, she scales off crit but buffs her anomaly stats so a support for either helps her

Astra buff atk, dmg, crit dmg so she is a power 3 dmg multipler (X * Y * Z) * dmg support M0 character. Her M1 debuff enemy element while her M2 buff your ultimate dmg so basically a support for big pp dmg players (basically for those that like to see 7 digit dmg). You need to use quick support to build up such number though- just see the discs made for her. Best to use her with another future S rank support character with crit dps agent if you want to see big pp dmg.
As long i can reach 9 star on assault i don't need another support, maybe wait fot void hunter support 😌

Fir me I’ll be pulling for her. But I don’t think they should just release a character to try and fix the attack character problem. If astra needs to be an every Attack team then how viable is it really to run? Attack just needs a buff not a bandage to cover it up.

I am gonna have to skip her to save up for Zhu Yuan rerun because I desperately need an ether damage dealer. So unless I get some insane RNG to pull her early AND win my 50/50 she’s gonna be a pass for me.
I’m going for both Astra and Evelyn, not getting Zhu Yuan is gonna hurt my soul but I know she’s gonna be powercrept so hard, I can feel it in my bones. I started playing right before Lighters banner left so I’m lacking all the premium S tiers except Miyabi and Harumasa, but if prepping for Honkai 3.0 has taught me anything it’s that reruns aren’t for new players, they’re for people that skipped the character the first time or missed their weapon. The only time a new player should go for a rerun is if it’s a cracked support (I’m pulling for Lingsha and Robin come 3.0) because DPS characters get phased out too quick. New players should focus on the new banners until they have solid team comps that reruns can supplement. Going for reruns just creates a feedback loop of you not having the pieces to make good teams for new content, since new content will be built with new agents in mind. This is all from the perspective of someone who cares about endgame and meta with money to spend though, if you don’t care about that then go for who you think is cool :)
As a f2p who started at 1.3(1st phase), I'm genuinely gonna skip the new characters just for reruns (Except maybe Evelyn and that upcoming Ether anomaly) Everyone looks too good for me to pass

I played the game at launch but didnt touch it during the entirety of patch 1.3 cus none of the characters really interested me. Only S ranks I pulled were Ellen to mog on a friend that couldnt get her and Jane cus I wasnt interested in any future chars. I like Eve so much im gonna pull astra just to team em up and if I dont get eve with my saved polys im dippin into the ol wallet, shes the first char I actually wanna pull.
I've been pulling nontstop since 1.2 and only missed Lighter, i think is finally time for me to skip a patch, unless there is a rerun.
Like her design. But I doubt she is going to be more impactful than Caesar. She might give you a bit more damage and might have a litte bit of sustain, but they will never give you something comparable to Caesar's on demand 5.7k shield.
I dabble in the meta, so for me, for Astra Yao, the make or break for her is if she's fun to play. I like playing as Jane and Miyabi and they just happen to be pretty strong. Most of the recent characters like Yanagi and Harumasa have been fun as well..........unless she REALLY buffs the crud out of my existing teams as I still can't reliably beast the last two nodes of Shibuya defense with 3 stars or get 3 stars on the abyssal sectors.
At this point, I just want an ether stunner and anomaly unit.
man this is tough I got 140 pulls safed up but I still want Zhu Yuan since I never played the game when she was out and when I first saw her and played through the game I fell in love with her character and love her being a sexy ass cop lady so idk if Ill have enough to get both Astra and Zhu Yuan should I skip Astra or get her and then get Zhu Yuan hopefully I'd get her. I have Miyabi and her weapon and all other anomoly units. I dont have Caesar or Lighter I skipped lighter I did not play until Burnice came out so man its tough decisions what u all think I should do?

As for me, I like characters that are either flexible, provide unique playstyles or a combination of both. If Astra is just a simple "Press EX Special for crazy buffs", it's a skip for me, regardless of how strong her buffs actually are. The endgame in ZZZ isn't hard enough I feel the need to pull for meta units.

I just never liked her design but its what I felt about Robin and she was prime example of support being extremely busted, if Astra gonna follow this example I would like to know exactly what is the theory on why shes good. Cuz Evelyn is still my main pick, I enjoy her design and looking at her more and hearing her JP voice made a want into a need.

Easy skip for me. I also have all the support agents leveled and they do their jobs just fine. I read over her kit, and while nice, doesn't really feel "limited" or a "must have". Definitely saving for future units.
If you've played hoyo games before Genshin and Star Rail aka Honkai Impact, you'd know how broken they make pure supports are.

Sparkle isnt really a Universal support. I have her E3S1 and i love her but i think Ruan Mei (as first Limited Harmony) has way more Teambuilding Options than Sparkle have since her buffs are more Universal.

While i really like the Design of almost every Character i really dont like the Attack Characters Movesets. All ATK Characters have something in their Kit that really annoys me. Nekomata with her increasing Back dmg, Soldier with the timed Attacks, Ellen with her weird Shark Mode. The first Character i really like in Terms of Gameplay is Harumasa.
I think astra is going to be a very needed character moving forward. Anomaly is gonna take a break after all with the release of miyabi tying the knot for last year’s meta.
If Zhu Yuan gets a rerun, I'm not going to pull for Astra. I still wanted to watch the vid.

It just depends on her kit honestly. Her character seems kinda a bit annoying to me. Dunno why but just a feeling. Im foremost a Billy Main then now Miyabi (+Grace & Rina) and Harumasa. But those teams are kinda fine.
as dumb as this sounds im skipping miyabi i im willing to invest everything i have in building astra yao and evelyn because i need 2 really op teams... i currently have jane does best team with seth and grace but i wonder what i shoild do for my 2nd team to be as strong if no better than the current jane one...
Miyabi is an op team just by herself and a random support but each to their own.
ofc we will have other elements in future , maybe will astra also heal/regeneration state and buff all the team ? we will see. As a f2p i need to amplify my roaster of agents as much as i can.
Probably Astra will be a must.. but i'm waiting of the classic badass agent obscure that will break the game as a new element, same for the classic light/holy element agent.

Asta would lock in a support that could be used for pretty much anyteam, but will probably be used for miyabi for Shinryu mostly.

I actually disagree abt kazuha and i am still playing genshin. The thing is Genshin taught us to not waste resources on dps thats ok, but kazuha kept there because Nahida, Furina Xilonen, xianyun, came to the game soo much after (3 years aprox). If u see genshin`s meta kazuha lost value because crowd control is very useless against bosses which are the most popular type of enemy in the last at least 10 abysses. On the other hand he had little powercreeps incremented through time in terms of exploration with wanderer, chiori, kinich and chasca, mavuika etc, same situation where they took a lot of time (2 years of the game). Today kazuha is not garbage but replaced anyways by better units and i really dont think Hoyo will use the same formula from 4 years ago, zzz must be dinamyc and faster due to its context
In despite of all the things mentioned Genshin is a game where u could use amber to clear the content back then, today almost every 5 star unit can clear the content easily since the game was designed like that.
On the other hand i thought zzz should be the "harder" version of hoyos games but at the end it doesn't feel exactly like that so then Astra is totally not a must pull and there is no must pull character if they are not adding higher difficulty. Actually she kinda will totally nerf the infinite tower which was the hardest content to beat.

Still waiting for the creator server program tests from IWinToLose before deciding.. But knowing the leaks, well she's a tad bit better than Nicole but I guess difficult to play. That is why Nicole is still BIS in most team comps and dominates famous tier lists.

She doesn't seem anywhere near kazuha or ruan mei level. She gives atk, dmg% and crit dmg. These are all very common stats in this game. She has no resistance shred or deffense/pen%, which are the rare and more desirable stats.
Ruan mei gave speed, damage, and break efficency. Speed is rare and massively impactful. Break efficency is unobtainable.
Kazuha had the CC, res shred, and massive QOL over other anemo units.
She will probably stay BIS for evelyn but I see her being easily replaced within a year.
