  • In this American Truck Simulator Let's Play career episode, we continue our long haul, longest journey, going from Key West Florida to our ultimate goal, Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. We complete the fourth leg of the journey, as we haul lemonade from Lethbridge, Canada to Prince George, Canada.
    In this career save, we are exploring the ATS world with map mods, having added in Arizona Rebuild, Reforma Mexico, Coast to Coast, the Great Mid-North Expansion, and ProMods Canada. We are exploring the Caribbean now.

      @@ZillaBlitzPCDefinitely Vancouver--very accurate--but also check out Lillooet and Bralorne. Make note that there's a cool hidden road in Bralorne.

  • @VJGamz
    @VJGamz 3 месяца назад +1

    Honestly a nice thing about Canada is that most of the road laws are the same as the U.S and the only major difference being is that the units are in metric. Also, the only thing I dislike about the Alberta portion (and some other areas of this mod)in this mod is that the lines are broken white and not double yellow on two lane roads (1 lane each side) because thats how it usually is in real life. Cool video by the way!

      There are definitely places in the mod where it feels like things were done quickly, but for the amount of territory it adds to the game, I'm really happy with the work they've done. It was really fun to drive all the way to Alaska from Florida. :)

    Great video really enjoyed it. There is a free mod for the KW W900 to have a better dash. Will fill in the blank space between the tach and speedometer adds more info for cruise control and gearing. There is another mod FOV Mirror's that is awesome you'll be able to see down the trailer much better and what is behind you. Keep up the good work.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks! I downloaded the better dash mod. There are a bunch of FOV Mirror mods, I wasn't sure which might be the one you meant, but I downloaded a couple to try.

    From what I remember when I was in Canada back in 2015 with a semi, the speed limit in Canada is 100kmph which is roughly 62mph for semi trucks. And trucks have to be governed. When I drove a 2006 379 Peterbilt, I had those same issues not to be able to see the side of the trailer while backing up, all I saw was that big exhaust stack.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  6 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting, thanks. So those stack issues are a real thing? Very interesting.

    Truck drivers IRL do 34 hour resets, so having double-sleeps or clock reset sleeps doesn't completely break the roleplaying aspect while still allowing us to see more of the mod scenery during the day.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ah, good to know, thanks. The only issue with doing that in the game is that double-sleeping makes it easy to be late on the delivery.

    I was wondering if you might start to find getting jobs in the right direction tricky. I'm guessing as you get closer to the end you might have to do some of these sections of the journey without a load.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  6 месяцев назад

      I'm starting to think it might be unlikely to find jobs north, yes. I hope we can find a delivery to Prudhoe Bay, but I'm starting to agree with you. We might just have to go sightseeing up there.

    Thank god not everywhere in Canada is only 19mph 🙏
    Also im taking a long haul with sawdust panels from Merritt(BC) to Islamorada(FL) which is about 62 hours and im stopping in Minneapolis MN right now and for some reason the first exit I took in Minneapolis had a road to the void so I was confused and it is also copy and pasted with the Sacramento before 1.32 so when u go to minneapolis it will definetly not look like how it is IRL (Just reminding you Mike) And I like ur videos

    There is a PFJ truck stop in Lethbridge and.. Husky? Or Esso.. I believe.. been there once.
    But no industries, some agricultural around town.
    Calgary looks a little copy-paste from some California city.. Which it does a little bit in real life, it looks like an average town, but not as much. Lacking individual vibe which this place has.
    Between Calgary an Jasper this route is not for trucks if I remember correctly. Actually about to go thru this area in a few hours.
    Other than that, views are... on the accurate side.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  6 месяцев назад

      Sounds like the in-game Lethbridge is quite a bit different from the real life Lethbridge. I think they just lump a few industries in there to give people something to pick up in game. And yeah, the content in here feels a bit generic, but that's no worries. It's fun to be able to explore the map like this.
