My friend, there is a lot to learn about the Arabian Peninsula, especially Saudi Arabia, because it is a basin of cultures.... Greetings to you and the beautiful people of Japan from Kuwait
being fully covered doesn't mean no freedom. we do it for ourselves. either its religious or traditional, we still do it for ourselves. and this is a really old video, many things has changed haha. you're just naming stereotypes of saudis and muslims and Arabs in general, its offensive actually. for example, Qatar is one of the safest country in the world, and the richest. that itself should set an idea for you. and in Arab countries we don't look "a certain way" or a certain race, were all multi racial people, so its also offensive for u to connect us with unrelatable races and countries like India and South Africa, its a shot at us and them. anyway I advise you to watch more modern Arab videos, or educate urself on our culture instead of going with the stereotypes.
this comment expresses what is in my head. no one has the right to force a women to wear a fully covered clothes and vice versa, they're doing that because this is their choice. if someone forced a women to do so, this doesn't mean that all the saudis and muslims or arabs like him; we can not compare %1 with %99. My advice is to be sincere and don't trust media or any steretypes out there, judge it by yourself.
Some people are biased, and they tend to judge or criticise things without any knowledge about it, or any arguments, all of it is emotions, just going with the crowd u know. in France i think, they banned the Hijab, where's the freedom then? if a women wanted to wear it, and it is a hundred percent her choice, she don't have a freedom to wear it and the "muslims are terriorsts point"; There are more than 1.8billion muslims across the world, If all of them are terriorsts then i think the world would be a completely chaos ! I'd advise people to lookup and search about the islamic civlization history, and The Golden Age Of Islam where most of the foundation of sciences are developed, I study Computer Science and %90 is about Algorithms, a branch of Math, made by a muslim scientist and everyone can search about the Prefix "al-" in English, it is an arabic one, which you'll see lot of english words their root is arabIC Greetings :)
I've seen this video (3:54 ruclips.net/video/-pAdW_yq52I/видео.html&ab_channel=ShinSmith) and what he said is exactly %100 right, if you wanna judge anything, at least you should have a knowlege about it.
We wear clothes names (Abaya) when we go outside - usually it’s black- it’s a cover over our colorful normal clothes 😄 we wear everything in our houses, friends and relatives houses, in the schools and parties .. some women prefer to cover herself with Abayah, and some of them choose to wear loose clothes when they go outside.. the point is “modesty” 😄 - 30% of the Saudi population are legal foreign residents, and much more than them are illegal residents , specially in the west region, Jeddah, Makkah and the capital Riyadh. 😄
Actually, the only religion in Saudi Arabia is Islam, but there are many workers and tourists from different religions mostly Christians and Hindus. Regarding the women’s colorful dresses, yes they actually selling it for a reason 😂 but I know that you are too surprised by them that you cannot imagine that we could wear those dresses. Nonetheless, it is not worn in front of men that are not relatives to the women (because it is forbidden in Islam for men to look at non-relative women’s beauty other than their wives), and this is why you see none of them wearing these dresses on the streets, but if you went their to Saudi and you were a woman, then you could see women wearing these dresses and other types of clothes similar to what your women wear in public such as shirts, hoodies, jeans, skirts…etc. But you are a man so you wouldn’t be able to see the women 😅 except if they are not following the Islamic ruling I mentioned earlier (where non-relative men not allowed to look at women), then they would allow you to see them. However, I am glad that you are learning about my country. Your follower from Saudi Arabia 🙋🏽♀️
women in sadia arabia loves to dress different clothes for every occasion like wedding, Eid, Ramadan, Family meeting and etc and yes in public or in front from not related (men ) they wear Abaya (full black cloths or any color or hijab )
Arabs are diverse, and there are Arabs of all kinds. Traditionally what defines an Arab is simply a lineage of Arabic speakers. So there are Arabs that are white, Brown, Black etc. Also, in Saudi Arabia there are a lot of foreigners, so not everyone you see in the video is actually Saudi, there are Philippinos, Indians, Africans, Indonesians etc. You should definitely check out other Arab cities as well. I recommend Beirut, Alexandria, Cairo, Algiers, Chefchaouen, Tripoli, Doha, Medina, Casablanca and Damascus.
In Saudi Arabia, we love Japanese cars! They’re one of the most reliable automobiles in the world. Very reasonable prices and they don’t break up so often. We trust Japanese cars. There are lots of video showing more of Saudi Arabia on the internet especially RUclips. We were jeans- pants- shirts. In government jobs mostly we wear traditional clothing. It’s like suits in western world. But outside we can wear anything. Women don’t have to wear black but most of them they choose to. In general, men and women do not expose too much of their skin such as wearing very short clothes. The best time to visit most of Saudi Arabia is between December and February. You can catch some snow at some parts of the north. The country is very big. You may need fly or drive up to 15 hours. From east to west is about 11 hours drive or more. Famous cities; 1)Riyadh(the capital is in the middle-sh) 2) Dammam/Khobar is in the east 3) Jeddah is in the west 4) Abha is in the South. 5) Tabuk is in the western north.
Most of the residents of Jeddah are not Arabs, there are a lot of Asian Indians and Africans living there as you can see..... Hijab is not compulsory in Saudi Arabia. Saudi women are Muslims and they choose the hijab of their own free will... A Muslim woman who wears a black hijab does not mean that she is oppressed. You have to remove these stupid thoughts from your head... Most of the Saudi women who wear the black abaya are educated, university, highly educated, and speak more than one language.
every sentence doesn't have to contain the word "religion" you know? the first rule in discovering a new culture is to rid yourself of your preconceptions and biases. India and Arabia are often victim of this. You can find absolutely everything in the middle east and India, it's diverse and unconstrained by your post-modern standards
actually the nikab (the black thing that some women wear on their faces) is not even appart of Islam or Arab Culture like it’s just some women wear this in Saudi Arabia and in some countries where Islam is the main religion but it’s written nowhere in the Quran (holy book of Muslim people) that women have to wear this it’s a bit dumb i think...
Regarding the saudi traditional cloths”thoub” which you say there is no originality when we wear it, actually that is the first purpose. Which islam encourage that everyone is not differenet and everyone is equal.. we are same and you don’t judge on someone by what they wear or in which job they are. You only judge and react by how is their behavior and morality. Our prophet mohammad peace be upon him said “ the greatness of nations are by their morality” and at the end all humans are brothers and servants of god.
Black clothes are worn by women when they go out in order to hide the beautiful clothes and jewelry that they wear. When they go to work in the school, hospital, bank, or any women’s gathering, they remove the abaya and then show you the beautiful clothes and different hairstyles.. This happens from the past and now. But now the number of people who have turned away from religion has increased and they see some women who do not wear a veil that hides their adornment, unfortunately.. because showing the beauty of women to everyone is not worthy of some men..
Abt hat the men wear it's not related to any religious it's just our traditional clothes and it's not like they have to wear it everyone can wear whatever they wants I'm sorry but did u believe that 34 millions people will wear the same clothes?? Also women can wear whatever they want ..
Religion is actually not strict on women but it protects women from dangers The robe worn by men is called Gtra and the white hat is called a cap and has nothing to do with different religions. The colorful dresses you saw are worn by women at weddings because weddings are separated by women alone and men alone.
okay not everyone where costume because they have to no no dude they wear cause its easier to move in and also easier to wear and take of than normal clothes anybody can wear anything they want but this costume(thob) is more comfortable thats all
This is not the entire city of Jeddah, but rather a specific area for merchants and assistants from other nationalities, and the clip is very old / I advise you to watch the events of Riyadh 2023
Well , this video doesn’t represent Jeddah . It only represents an area called the historical Jeddah and Albalad you can find many videos about the whole Jeddah if u search a little bit
