Wow so happy for this series I was there for a month Jan-Feb explored Accra Cape Coast volta region and Kumasi, I'm Jamaican born living in London.I must say it was a great experience definitely returning also plan on visiting other countries on the continent. Peace bro
cool same! Im UK/JA. maybe we crossed over I also did Accra, Cape and Kumasi. Also looking forward to going back and also seeing more countries. Thanks for watching
Thanks you for sharing this wonderful experience!!😥 Just beautiful and heartwarming. I'm Jamaican, living in Canada, but its in Ghana that I really want be.
@@parsnipfingers no Ghanaians absolutely adore Jamaica and know we are also poor and disenfranchised and also that we were both under British Colonial rulership ... Saying he was from UK he would be charged higher prices and tbh Ri just got his Jamaican citizenship .. so he’s actually more British than Jamaican.
@@shirleyharris1585 I understand now, thank you for your reply 🙏. If Riaz has some wealth I’d like to think he’d overpay voluntarily to these people (and indeed, Jamaicans) if he is in a position to do so. From the videos I’ve enjoyed so far he comes across as a gentle, respectful man in any case. Best wishes to you.
Such a colorful country😁 The open market is often the best place to get a quick immersion into another culture, IMO. Thanks, Riaz, I learn something new from each of your vlogs👍 Bless!
I like the high life music in the background! happy you enjoyed your trip to Ghana. Next time you could join the Citi FM heritage caravan. It will give you the chance to visit almost all the regions and and experience the diverse culture.
Africans from Ghana and Jamaica are with each other soulfully, culturally, consciously and ethnically 🇬🇭🇯🇲💯Our Makola Market in Accra full of things such as peppers, palm oil, yams, ripe plantains, green plantains, sugar cane, cassavas, fishes, chickens, rices, bananas, oranges and peanuts.
Thank you. Beautiful seeing our family enjoying their work. How third world can they be, with so much food and other resources just like in England. Remember when they only showed tumble down old houses/shacks and children with ripped up clothing? No one knew Africa was the same as anywhere else; affluent areas and deprived areas. Thank God for.the mobile/cell phone with camera. God Bless Africa.
I said the same thing. Its so great we have mobiles and affordable travel now! They cant hide the truth from us! 1st world/3rd world nonsense is a myth!
This place is full of life and prosperity. I can't wait to visit. Thank you for such a great video. The people there are so beautiful and so are the colors everywhere around you.
Just found your channel and its giving me LIFE! Im thinking about moving to JA or Ghana from London so this is perfect, I ve been ignoring my chores all morning and watching your vids instead hahaha
AWESOME!!! Thanks Riaz. Have many Ghanaians in my church and they have their own churches in London, Reading & Luton as far as I know. LOVELY hospitable people. My brother visited Ghana a few years ago and said he felt so at home. Can't wait to see more🙂🥰👋
Thanks Riri for reply. Sounds really nice. Can’t wait to get to Ghana. I’m uk born with Jamaican parents but am soo connected to Ghana. I have Ghanaians in the family through marriage so always want to go but can’t get the chance yet. I’ll look for that drink for sure when I get there. I was trying to look up ship documents but the archives i came across are paid for. Was this the case for you or am I looking in the wrong place. I went onto the gov.uk National Archive site.
Thank you! It's beautiful and everything is still out of tradition and culture! The food is extraordinary! You can eat something all day long something different! You look like a local guy know won't know who you are! Lol 😆
I was looking hard for the Jamaican flag which is usually prominently displayed in Ghana's market scenes. Didn't see one, but at 3:45 "you're from Jamaica, welcome" handshake. Many of our less informed try to distance themselves from Africa, but from my observation, Africans always express love for us, their kin. Ghana is so much like Jamaica, but without the guns and political tribalism. I beg for those days to return.
U would normally see the jamaican flag in Kumasi among the Ashantis. Jamaican flags are very common in the Ashanti region on the backs of cars. Ashantis also have their flag that has similar color as Jamaican flag too
Keep it up fam, show the world how it is it there. This shit made me smile, never been to Africa but these kind of videos give us a look into the country ✊🏾
Hi Riaz! Just chanced upon your vlogs today. I didn't know Ghana was so much like Jamaica! I'm a Ghanaian and have been in Ghana most part of my life. I really like your videos. Greetings from Kumasi :-)
@RiriTravels i couldnt get over how similar it was to Jamaica. You should def visit Kenya too. People are always surprised when i tell them that kenya feels so much like Jamaica

Hello Riri, what time of the year did you go to Ghana. Agree with you, went there a few years ago and I loved it. Had plans to return there this May 2020; but with virus its no go. We have left our deposits with Airline etc and hopefully we can arange another date. Good luck with your ventures. Peace
I was there in late february. December and January are too expensive! I already had plans to return in May as the flights were relatively cheap but same I had to postpone
