The most impressive part of that entertaining video was the good humour about oil and bits of engine on the floor. I'd have been rather more vocal - then doubly so after realising I'd caused the problem! Fair play taking that in your stride - or fair play to the editor! The sweet sounding engine is a nice consolation especailly on top of not breaking the engine itself. 👍👍
What a day! Only one scrap battery on the Foden, then to ask if would start!!!! - First turn on tick over! - What a machine! Space heater - repaired. Adam works better at normal working temperature, which brings us to the engine. It could have been much worse! Starter motor will be a cheap repair - Did Seb write his name on the replacement after he'd cleaned and polished it? The engine started well, no easy start required, it sounds well, then things went down hill, but things could have been much worse, parts (in stock) can be replaced, and that will make another video to entertain the viewers. Okay, things didn't go 100% as planned, but still think of it as a good day. 🤗👍🤗
The engine sounded awesome. You guys will have it fixed and cleaned up in no time. I would have had a compilation of curse words going on for that one. Waiting for the next video. Have a great day.
Hi guys, very neat videos, at my 71 years of age and been born and raised in the mechanical field I never had the opportunity to get involved with those kind of equipments, your videos take me to another line of expertise, I am impressed with your knowledge and wisdom, respectfully I would like to know where your country is, most kind of you for sharing it with us, blessings to you and your love ones, from the endless summer paradise Puerto Rico Jesus Torres.
Always entertaining to watch. 😅 Every time I do I think I should get rid of my vast snap on tool collection and replace with just an adjustable…oh and a hammer.😂😂
I worked in 'pack section' at an Armoured workshop in BAOR for about 8 months before moving to an FRG. In pack section I specialised in L60's, CV8/12's and 'Merlins', but we often had to help the Betty-Mech's out with their K60's, Golf 4's and J60's because the Betty's were too slow (they had massive NAAFI breaks, drinking gallons of tea, eating 'bockies', talking shite and playing cards (Nom's and Hunt The Cu%t)). I absolutely hated doing K60's and Golf 4's, so you have my sympathy here, lads!
@@DraftySatyr Then you'll know the dread when the section Cpl says, "OK Arse-mech, you can do the firewire fault finding and transfer case on this K60 ... Oh, and the fan governor is playing up!"

Hewes Engineering 101. Always entertaining. Always educational. Today I learnt the black runny stuff should be inside the noisy thing, not on the floor...
That's frustrating. Fair play for admitting it. It can happen. Never mind! Admit it, make good, move on and try not to do it again!
