Welcome to Zhou Shen's family. FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with a full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now worldwide. He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. For Zhou Shen it's his natural voice to sound neutral. After a while you'll realize it's more of a young boy's sound verses a women's voice. He can sing 3 hours straight using his iphone mic for his birthday live streaming. That's when you know he's a really professional singer.
What is amazing is that he was not classically trained. This was earlier in his career and he continues to evolve in his technique. His range and ability to reflect the emotions of the song. His voice is gorgeous. He has a crazy range and ability to sing so many genres.
You must do more Zhou Shen. He is even more stunning now. He blows this performance out of the water. You must watch his duet with Sa Dingding singing Upward to the Moon. Or you should check out his duet with Tengri singing Heaven/ Da Yu. He voice is ethereal and his capabilities are out of this world. No one sings like him. He speaks 7 language and can sing in multiple voices. His live performance of Da La Beng Ba incredible as well as his emotional rendition of Ring the Doorbell. He is a natural contra tenor but is mainly self taught. He did study bel canto and he can sing many different genres including musical theater, pop, rock, rap and traditional Chinese opera. He is one of the most famous singers in China now and he is so humble and sweet. He is incredibly generous with his talent especially with younger singers. Every performance is a master piece. If you go to Zhou Shen Super Vocal ep 2 you will find this close to the beginning, it has sub's and you can hear him speak to the judges for the first time. Another one he did on here is Memory. He has spoken about when he was at school and all the other boy's voices changed and got lower his never did and he was teased a lot because of it. He can also sing very low, you should check out Sing 2020 ep 8, he sings a song on here called Dalabengba were he sings in 4/5 different voices and 1 is very low.. has subs so you can understand what he is singing you will need them

If you understand how pre-puberty boys' choir works, you would understand how Zhou Shen's voice works. According to Zhou, for some obscure reason, he didn't go through the normal puberty change of voice meant for all boys. He thought it was a curse and went through quite a struggle to fit in socially amongst school bullies. Such is life when you're different. After years of self-doubt, he eventually found out this mishap has turned out to be a unique blessing that he can use it to bless the world with his beautiful singing to sooth restless souls in this sometimes hostile & divisive world.

For Zhou Shen it's his natural voice to sound neutral. After a while you'll realize it's more of a young boy's sound verses a women's voice. He can sing 3 hours straight using his iphone mic for his birthday live streaming. That's when you know he's a really professional singer.
What is amazing is that he was not classically trained. This was earlier in his career and he continues to evolve in his technique. His range and ability to reflect the emotions of the song. His voice is gorgeous. He has a crazy range and ability to sing so many genres.

You must do more Zhou Shen. He is even more stunning now. He blows this performance out of the water. You must watch his duet with Sa Dingding singing Upward to the Moon. Or you should check out his duet with Tengri singing Heaven/ Da Yu. He voice is ethereal and his capabilities are out of this world. No one sings like him. He speaks 7 language and can sing in multiple voices. His live performance of Da La Beng Ba incredible as well as his emotional rendition of Ring the Doorbell. He is a natural contra tenor but is mainly self taught. He did study bel canto and he can sing many different genres including musical theater, pop, rock, rap and traditional Chinese opera. He is one of the most famous singers in China now and he is so humble and sweet. He is incredibly generous with his talent especially with younger singers. Every performance is a master piece. Check out the Time concert series, Singer 2020 and Sing China performances. You won’t regret it. Western reactors always start with western songs but his Chinese songs are amazing.

Personally I don't really favour high pitch singing, I favour more a lower register but Zhou Shen is so versatile, I'm in love with his voice and yes I'm also in love with his personality.

If you go to Zhou Shen Super Vocal ep 2 you will find this close to the beginning, it has sub's and you can hear him speak to the judges for the first time. Another one he did on here is Memory. He has spoken about when he was at school and all the other boy's voices changed and got lower his never did and he was teased a lot because of it. He can also sing very low, you should check out Sing 2020 ep 8, he sings a song on here called Dalabengba were he sings in 4/5 different voices and 1 is very low.. has subs so you can understand what he is singing you will need them

If you understand how pre-puberty boys' choir works, you would understand how Zhou Shen's voice works. According to Zhou, for some obscure reason, he didn't go through the normal puberty change of voice meant for all boys. He thought it was a curse and went through quite a struggle to fit in socially amongst school bullies. Such is life when you're different. After years of self-doubt, he eventually found out this mishap has turned out to be a unique blessing that he can use it to bless the world with his beautiful singing to sooth restless souls in this sometimes hostile & divisive world.
