Sir I understand what you are explaining. Let's take an examp[le, as an hobby, I undertakemany adventerous trips. So for this I need a SUV in order to pass through the rough terrain. So as per your explanation I should not buy the SUV but settle for a car that I can drive within the city and occationally take it on highways. Here my hobby takes a hit completely. I have so many health issues, and I find solace in these adventure trips. I am thoroughly confused here. So we earn money and be frugal in spending and save the money. But my hobby takes a hit.
