China is selling the FC-31 (aka J-31) as a 5th gen fighter meant for export sales, similar to the Su-75 for Russia and F-35 for US. China is keeping the J-20s for themselves as they are China's answer to the F-22. Pakistan isnt only acquiring J-31 from China. It also has its share in the development of KAAN, (Turkish 5th gen fighter). after the development of Kaan and the induction of J 31. Pakistan would have a strong airforce which would have a backbone of JF 17 thunders, and some advanced fighters like the Kaan, J-31s, and the J-10C s.
Whereas there are news about indian project of AMCA. but AMCA is being delayed continuously by the Indian government

Stealth is not just looks ; it is paint, electronics, weapons, radar & a philosophy. J31 has the looks, but its likely a 4.5+. If it was fully stealth, Russia would have ordered some. J31 is likely comparable to Rafale, which also is 4.5+.
India will have to co develop stealth with Russia, it's trusted partner. They both need each other, Russia needs funding, India needs technology. There's no other real choice. The co development project was started by previous government, but was cancelled by the current one, it needs to be restarted.
Rafael is tested and likely equal to stealth fighters........... however J10c is also good for Pakistan..

Pakistan will not be able to sustain for more than a few days of intense conflict. Secondly, the Pakistan military top brass would not want to fight as they don't have a stake in the country as they would not want to destroy their biscuit and milk factories and the eventual breakup of their only cash cow.
