Ma'am good decision that u going home, get urself fully checked and treated, I think PGI Chandigarh is a good place to get urself checked. Rest ur family is there for best advice.
Stay in India for few weeks maybe months till u recover fully. Always carry mosquito repellent cream in ur journeys.

Luckily I have not suffered such an extreme case, but I can feel a bit of your pain, as I had jaundice once while traveling, and it took some time to recover, and while doing the thinking and other tasks, there was huge pain in the mind.... Be brave girl, with so much of travel in Africa, surprised that you didn't suspect malaria. Anti malaria tablets as a prevention is common among u tubers and take a doctor s advice to see if you will need that in the future.
