Unfortunately that is how most ems working an ambulance react. I was thrown in the back of a police car for shoving a first responder when my dad was dying,be cause they were moving like turtles. I found him going in to shock,every bone in his face was broken and the left side of his rib cage shattered.
I was the organizer of the Ottawa Panhandlers' Union for nearly a decade, and one of our members was stabbed in the heart. He was a young street kid, just 17, and some drunk guy out clubbing started urinating right by his head where the kid was sleeping with a few other street kids. The kid jumped up and took a swing at the guy with a squeegee; the guy pulled a knife and stabbed him in the heart. An ambulance came and the paramedics stood watched the kid bleed out because they were "staging," and said they didn't feel safe with all the street kids there. The other kids were trying to save their friend by stopping the bleeding and were begging the paramedics for help. The paramedics just let him die. The guy who stabbed him was arrested and tried. He was found not guilty because the judge said it was reasonable to be fearful of the homeless. I hate this planet.

@@J8den I've picked up Cuban refugees adrift on styrofoam rafts ,lost at sea for weeks attempting to make it to U.S. shores and delivered them safely to authorities in Florida,where they were processed and reunited in Cuba with their wives and children they had fled and left behind. BooHoo!

Okay why was the medic not cancelled after he was found to be fine and not want care? Then why did they make it seem like he had to be checked out? I would have cleared as soon as I was on scene and said he was fine and didn’t want to go. Just more wasted EMS resources.
