What makes a hero?

Statistics tell us he should be dead. But 4-year-old Ravid has a guardian angel, or two. Both are heroes.
His Mother's love has provided him with a strength and beauty that saw doctors label him "a miracle, with an incredible intelligence", while Dr Sarou and his team at the Battambang Opthalmology Clinic (BOC) have provided Ravid's family with hope, ever since he was diagnosed with congenital cataracts at 8-months old.
In what was a truly life-changing experience, we followed Ravid's journey to see his Mother's face again, after BOC gave his family an ultimatum to act now, or risk a chance their son may be blind forever. For years they had been too scared to proceed with the surgery.
While this film captures Ravid's miraculous journey, we saw countless hundreds of lives transformed at the hands of BOC, and will be producing a more detailed documentary on the heroes of Battambang.
