Restoring a Vintage General Electric 7-4975B AM/FM Cassette Clock Radio

What a cool find this was at a local Goodwill! I cleaned it up while trying out a new cleaning product I'll definitely be using in the future. I've heard from others the message button on the front of this was used to notify others in the household that someone had recorded a voice message to tape and they should listen to it. Basically a Post-it note. Now to eBay with it!

What I do is use the vacuum brush in every area and vent 1st.
I use a tooth brush for the vent cracks etc
Multi purpose cleaner diluted with water and a micro fiber cloth to wipe down cord and unit.
I also clean the heads in the cassette area.

The message button/light...it's for if you 've recorded a message on the tape player and say gone somewhere the light let's someone who's came home later know that there's a message for them to hear. There were message machines attached to phones back then,this was just very simple alternative.

For the cleaning,a small compressor will blow out what you can't get to.

Hi do you have any tutorials on fixing a karaoke amplifier? I have one that powers on but getting no sound output. It is not the speakers bc the same speakers work with my other amps.

I do not unfortunately. My knowledge of pro audio equipment is basically non-existent, but if I were to start somewhere, I'd check all wiring I suppose.
