Back in the mid 80's I was a young man that found myself in a position to buy my 1st luxury watch. Ebel was re-emerging as a luxury brand and my choice was a steel Ebel quartz diver or a steel datejust 16200.
I felt the Rolex was common and went for the Ebel being a new exciting design and wanted to be different.
Fast forward 30 yrs or so, the Ebel screw in crown no longer screws in and movement has been dead for over a decade. As for Rolex, it's a classic and I'm still kicking myself for the my dumbass decision😆.
Btw, love the work you do young Sir.
I have their Multiply model and I love it! Great craftsmanship and the bracelet is also very comfortable
Hi,
I am 17 and have got at Christmas a seiko srpd85k1 and I have to say I love this watch. But I have a problem, and I do not like the Nato bracelet so super much and I am looking for a replacement bracelet, the best thing is to be made of rubber and round ribbon have impulses... There are quite a few, but my problem is that I want to spend no more than 40€ for a bracelet and it should be best to the u fit, so I guess a black one would not look so good (preferably a brown one). Do you have a recommendation for me? And yes, I know, I’m looking for an egg laying wool milk sow, but maybe I’m lucky and someone here knows one. I actually wanted to buy one of crafter blue, but it is too expensive for one page, which is the smallest problem, because I might be able to persuade my parents, but the bigger problem is that there is no brown with round ribbons.
Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention. I'm right with you on there being a lot to appreciate here, though this particular model doesn't do it for me either. As you noted, I will keep my eye on them for future releases that might click more boxes for me. As always, thanks for a thorough & interesting review!
Pretty cool watch, I digg the blue and green dials as well on the second gen. :)
Would you like to review their watches? Maybe I can help..
@@leyay7540 Thank you, I'll think about it :).
Lovely piece, brand obviously has a lot of potential, I just dont think this is the one
Great video my man, I’ve heard really good things about this watch brand!
Looking forward to your detailed review of a new bidet.
Best start to a watch video ever!
More and more technical you are, Lume Shot! 😂😂
Do you have a web site?
If a datejust didn’t have the word “Rolex” written on it, many fanboys would not take a dump on it.
From a technical standpoint, this watch offers far more innovation, complication, and cool factor than my grandpa’s datejust.
If I were picking between this or a Rolex Datejust without a doubt I'd pick the Datejust.
I really appreciate the straightforward approach of this video. Horage was already on my radar as a very impressive independent brand. The author’s technical knowledge is much appreciated by someone like me.
Great video. Very fair review. I really like the work you put into it. Bad thing is I am not a watch guy. But great video non-the-less.
You have really good communication skills.
Best from Spain!!!.
Nice looking watch. Gives me Tudor Flag vibes. I feel for the price North Flag would take my money
You had a like right after the liquid opener...
Wow beautiful. Cool work
I have owned the original Autark for near two years. As you said, not a perfect watch and also not my type. I get it to experience the integrated bracelet design and its K1 movement. Though I don't wear it much(I am a dress watch guy), I don't regret to buy it either. Looking for their future offering 😁
Haven't finished the video YET, buy I know this watch is FANTASTIC!!! 😁👍
Very even handed review. I'd rather have Horage than Rolex in most instances, but that's more underbelly feeling. I do understand that feeling that nothing really jumpa out at you, and yet it immediately comes across as very competent and confident watch making. That font, especially on this watch, is not for me. Therefore, I'd go for one of the dressier varieties of the Autark, the Jura I particular. You didn't really discuss the brushed dial, but that does seem to be very well done in footage seen across the blue, grey, and in particular the green variant. I think in those variants the combination of indices, colour, and polished accents do lift up the design of the watch and also make the dial feel less full. The white also deserves a shout out. The downside of that is that white just remains white, and I don't think Horage have said what the finish on the white dial consists of. It looks like they're reserving the K2 movement for models further up the price range. The Autark is interesting as a price point because it feels a bit more attainable still than many of the usual suspects.
Beautiful b-roll shots. Well done! While this watch looks cool with the various angles, hour markers, and all other features.... hard to top the datejust.
Also... bidets are awesome. 🚽
Agree !
It’s the best place to soak your dentures overnight. Next morning you will be surprised how much dirt came off.
Nice review
At that price point I like the Sinn U50S and Ming watch company
Ming is the biggest waste of money, it's just living on hype and nothing else.
Is it still a microbrand when they are capable to make in house movements to such a degree? 🧐🤯
do a video, audio, and lighting video, pretty please 🙏🏾
If you make the Strucker watch from WandaVision I want to be first in line to purchase.
Lose the rainbow on the power reserve indicator and that would improve the looks of this watch dramatically.
Great informative video! We share a very similar aesthetic.
🤘✨⚡🍁
I. love my bidet.
Lol.....nice opener🤘✨⚡🍁
Dark dial. White date wheel. Bad move.
The Autark looks like a pharmacy watch. 4k ???, I would save that $$$ for a reputable brand
Judging by Price, Case shape, and appearance the better question would be "This or Tudor North Flag"
Either way, the answer would be "Not this"
Northflag is a nice watch for sure, but it was launched after Autark and it’s side flanks are somewhat coarse, which is of course a matter of taste.
I think one cannot compare those two watches, because their level of sophistication is very different when looking at design details, movement spec and wearability.
Sold for 400
subscribed, thanks to peter m
one word: formex. i'd buy that instead.
Datejust, without a second thought.
Aside from the form factor, this doesn't look dressy in the slightest.
Microbrands are getting out of hand.
I wouldn't pay over $500 for one. $4500 is a hefty stupid tax.
Every brand start small, but there are not many brands invested 10 mio CHF (11 mio. USD) and 7 years for developing an new innovation mechanical movement before brought the watch into the market .
That's great actually, I understand.
I just look at what I could get for $4500. You're up against some serious competition at this price point. It takes titanium balls to jump right into the deep end, I respect that. I wish you the best on this challenging endeavor. You may be more successful selling your movement to others.
I do love the crown design with your integrated logo, and case thickness.
This VS a Datejust? Are you kidding?
Nice, but looks too microbrand-y to my taste, alas.
big nope
first like!
The name of the company is weird.
The various names of their watches isn't very enticing.
you're better off with a Rolex in my opinion.
ruclips.net/video/b96W5OZN7H8/видео.html
French is weird 😉
Rolex anyday
K1 sounds interesting, but that watch is boring looking.
Far too expensive.
without a doubt, the rolex 41 datejust rodium with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet over this. And this is coming from someone who dispise the mass produced datejust.
looks like a sticker faceplate. Very cheap looking and boring, I would have to say.
Neither i like your Patek
It's dull
Rolex all day long.
not my thing, only would buy under 500
Nothing about this watch peaks my interest other than the in-house movement. I find it rather boring to look at.
*piques
pretty boring watch
Name needs help.
Can't imagine spending $4k on something that sounds like "R Tard"
It's lame.
Doesn't appeal to me what so ever.
Somewhat odd you went in details about a product you have no interest of...
You wouldn't make such detailed video for a product you don't believe in or owned so the financial reasons are blinking!
Clearly shows that its been given, not loan! And probably paid to push it down our throats.
Lame boring giant clock ⏰
I go into detail, and make a video in the first place, to share my viewpoint and experience of wearing this watch. The purpose also being to offer information for those who may be considering the purchase but want more details about it, aside from mere online specs. I have no problem stating if a video is sponsored or if anything was given, as I always do in my videos.
