    I just ordered a pair of these !! They were down to $85. I ordered a pair of North Face Mid height boots, and the back was cutting into my Achilles, so I decided the shoe version would be better.

      Grazie mille. I am having a blast making the videos. This year I hit my stride. For the search term “Best hiking shoes of 2023” I have the number 1 video on RUclips currently. Two years of learning is paying off.

    I recently purchased the shoes in Australia because it's where I live and I'm actually a landscape photographer and I was looking for a shoe that could support me while I've got quite a heavy backpack on with a lot of photography gear in it and this shoe actually is outstanding as a photographer shoe House of the rocker sole I found it really easy to move about in tight spaces and also when literally going from one rock to another and seriously they are very very comfortable. Typically in the past I bought Solomon the issue I have with that shoe is after about 2 months it just goes hard and the cushioning goes in them I doubt that will happen with these shoes as it is completely different design and they are so comfortable. It's interesting that you say they lack a little bit of stability but I found the opposite because of the design I could easily put my toe say onto the next rock and then just navigate to the next rock when jumping from rock to rock which is what I do you never land with your whole foot anyway and sometimes I have a tripod in my other hand so these shoes were just so good at reversing also my reversing is if I have to take a step backwards. So anyone next test maybe try them walking backwards and see what they are like cuz literally sometimes you do have to walk backwards thank you for your review I think this channels are really cool channel and like I said the photographer desk shoe is simply outstanding

      Thank you for this information. I do agree that once you get used to the rockered sole they are very useful. I think if I did a multi-day hike in these that I would adjust to the sole and feel more stable and confident. I go trail running in them all the time but is well groomed, flat terrain.

      @@Dusty_Hikers I suspect that the sole will flatten a little bit too over time. It will still have the shape, but I’m thinking that it will flatten a little bit the only problem that I have with a rocker soul Is that the front and rear of the sole tend to wear out quicker?…. I’ll be interested to see how these go after a few months but I love them as issue for exploring. It’s almost like this year is good for slower movements. Where are your movements are a bit more precise that’s what I found with it

    I was wondering how they compared to Hoka Speedgoat (also with high stack rocker), but looking at the sheer weight they seem in a different category and the Exploris will not be very good for running.

    I only did 10 miles hike with it. I agreed on the comfortability but im worried about the sole design as well. I had carried 15 kg load and the sole sometime makes me feel a bit unstable.

      I trail run in them. I also love walking in them. I have them on right now because it is raining in Florence today and they are waterproof. But yeah, I am not sure about difficult terrain and a backpack. I would not do that.

      @@Dusty_Hikers I would love to try trail run with this, maybe I will get something else for backpack trip. I love the shoe when its raining as well tbh Im using it as my daily shoes now.
      Thank you for the vids, if its possible can you try Hoka Anacapa 😁

      The Exploris are really good for walking. My favorite hiking shoe of the five I tested is the Salomon X Ultra 4.

    Do you know how much is the heel to toe drop? Looks like my Achille doesn't like anything under 9mm

    • @Dusty_Hikers
      @Dusty_Hikers  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is a rockered sole so drop might be irrelevant.

    It seem that the sole suffered great wear or I'm seeing wrong ?

    • @Dusty_Hikers
      @Dusty_Hikers  Год назад +2

      There might be some scuffing. I run on asphalt to get to the trails. For the most part though they are still great. No significant wear, yet.

      Not me. Plus it has an extra eyelet to tie the heel lockdown.

    • @emernelsonpol9411
      @emernelsonpol9411 Год назад

      @Dusty Hikers thanks for your reply. Yep tried the heel lock lacing technique, changing insolessssss (too many), extra pad for the heels. Still not so lucky to get a fix.
      Not to mention the laces.. they always get untied so you need to make sure you double it to get more secured.
      On the positive side.. it has a good cushioning.
