  • In this episode, we show the concept of the snake disarms within the Filipino Martial Arts. Usually shown with blunt objects like a stick or baton, you would not use this technique against an opponent that has a medium or long blade. As a reminder, this is the theory of the technique. Sometimes it may not look as nice or clean when sparring or pressure testing.

Glad it was helpful! As the saying goes, "if you can do it fast, you should be able to do it slow."

It doesn't really make sense to me. The hand holding the stick is way to close to the other persons body. If you have a stick, you want to hit with the stick... and keep distance.

Late to the party, and I lack training, but a person wielding a long weapon like that would have a reach advantage, so your best best as unarmed would be to close the gap ASAP.
