That is totally something Regina would say! And she prolly did at some point on the show lol.
She did after Rumple gave her a glam spell and she found out what people thought of her and the aftermath of her massacre of the village that helped Snow. She embraced her evil queen persona and chose to have people fear her than love her.. "The queen is dead... long live.. the EVIL queen"
One line she did say in the series was “it’s better to be feared than loved”
This scene gives me chills every time. We are definitely getting some Regina vibes again and I love it.

@@kachi2782 But Regina.. I mean, Rita said she was saving that bit of info for insurance... meaning she WOULD use it against her to keep her in line. In fact, Rita planted the thought in Alma's head and that's why she sought out Grace's fired housekeeper. Most of Alma's plans were a result of her wanting to BE Rita.. right down to her hair, makeup and clothes, on two occasions she wore the exact same dress albeit in a different size.
Alma out here being jealous of Rita when we all know she knows her husband is a serial killer.
She didnt realize it before because she adore Rita so much and she's been broken about Rita words, while later in ending we saw the evil smile on her face when she realized her husbsnd is a killer

I believe that because the Evil Queen was a fairy tale character, she also became an exaggerated characterization to give that evil vibe. There were many threats that were not seen, exaggerated interpretations and Regina was a revolted young woman. No Rita, Rita is already a mature woman, who doesn't make empty threats and goes to the heart of the problem directly and solves what's getting in her way. She passes much more of the seductive and fatal vibe than Regina Mills, who still seems to have a crying child inside her. Rita doesn't need to make an effort to be that strong woman for everyone to be afraid of. Regina yes.
Unpopular opinion but I wished Regina Mills/The Evil Queen stayed as a villain in OUAT. Lana’s portrayal of Rita shows just how much the actress is good at playing the villain.
I've always thought Evil Queen wasn't evil enough but on this show, she sure is way eviler and way too mean.

This scene shows how naive Alma is. Rita has been at this a while. She knows how to cover herself. She knows the game. And Alma had to learn the hard way, if you’re going to black mail someone, be prepared for if they call your bluff. You cannot go off half cocked.

Lana missed OUAT so much, she didn't create a new characterization for Rita, she just used CTRL+C CTRL+V. For me who watched the series was great. But Lana needs to be flexible to other interpretations. But that vibe totally suits her. She looks beautiful floating in that seductive and fatal line, elegant, but that has another facet of someone who just wants to be loved. But I also believe that this recycling in the evil queen is the fault of the production that wanted to make these references on purpose.

I’m assuming this is an anthology series so would I be right in guessing I don’t need to see season one to watch season two? There’s a part of me that’s thinking of just diving into season two, just because I love Lana Parell and I’m happy to see her in a role other than Regina (much as I loved the character, all good things must come to an end).
Dont worry they have different timeline between s1 and s2 so its okay that you watch s2 without watching s1
But season one is absolutely amazing, defo give it a try later xx
Season 1 is way better actually.. but his one is fun too
I watched season 2 before season 1 and it works out. I’d say season 2 has a darker tone and only one well thought out storyline. Whereas season 1 has 3 different storylines that all take place in the same house but in different years. And whereas season 2 gets to the murder straight away, season 1 takes its time developing it.
@@thejesscen season 2 is a LOT more killing, like every episode youre left like jesus another senseless killing? i think they wanted to really hone in on the "why women KILL" bc there wasnt enough killing in the first season, just jade, her ex, and beth anne's husband and none were innocents like in s2 where it was really shocking
