Gross, I'm gonna unsubscribe"😭 tbf it was only that harsh because I couldn't associate any videos to the channel name (never looked at it much) so I thought it was just some random channel I subscribed to after watching like, one video from them😭 Now knowing what they do, I really don't understand how they got this idea, especially now. There was a moment where most people were still like "wow funky ai!" But pretty much everyone just hates it now
@Lazzuuu i’ve watched this channel for ages because i love watching the process of creating a model/sculpt and their use of resin, i couldn’t believe the notification seeing they decide to use AI. and considering this is supposed to be inspired/referencing a snake, it looks absolutely nothing like them, thanks to AI. i seriously hope this backlash will make them reconsider using AI and learn more about how disgusting it is

Your a creative channel and your using something which kills creativity, if you don't stop people will leave and this channel will fade into obscurity and you'll deserve it
Why... why go down this road? You have a talent for character concept, why the hell get involved in AI for an algorithm. What a strange channel change! The channel's recognition by thumbnail has also gone down. I seriously had to go to other videos to understand what I was watching and who was doing it. The thumbnail says it all. Crappy art from AI... checked, a woman's face ONLY for clicks..... checked, A giant "AI" inscription... checked.
Every generative AI data set, even the ones you have to pay to use, were built by using the artwork of other artists without their knowledge, consent, or compensation and is by definition, unethical in its use. Full stop. Maybe that could change in the future, and artists could actually be paid well for their willful contribution to a future program, but that day hasn’t come yet. Supporting these systems as they are now is supporting our forced obsolescence by an exploitative system that seeks to profit off our hard work without paying us by effectively “cutting out the middle man”. Any real artist with a shred of dignity in their work and the hard of work of their community would understand that. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe it. This has the same ethical weight of crossing the picket line during a worker’s strike. I hope you take this criticism and the like-minded comments from others here (seriously, thank you everyone) as an opportunity to educate yourself and learn from this egregious mistake.
This is really disappointing. Your art is so incredible and authentic and we need it more than ever right now. AI is not only ugly boring sludge, it's unethical. It's theft in multiple ways, it's horrific for the environment, and it's only being shoved down our throats because billionaires think they won't have to pay any of us for our work ever again. Please don't continue down this path, no one I know chooses to watch AI based content and I'm scared that a lot of people will just simply abandon this channel if you don't make an immediate course correction. Even if this was just a one off experiment, please think seriously about how even just venturing once into AI can cause all of your followers and fans to become suspicious of both past and future work. Don't supplement your wonderful and vast creativity with AI, you have been an inspiration and an anchor for so many smaller artists, we are in desperate short supply of art that is genuine, and that is human through and through.
I came here because I'm an artist, and I like to see art made by other human artists, and I'm willing to bet many others are here for the same reason. Adopting AI when its virtually guaranteed to alienate a large portion of your audience seems like a strange choice.
Is this a late April's Fools day joke??? Mando: This is the way... Minibricks: we will use A.I. Mando: This is not the way anymore... Why? Why A.I.... why?
I remember when Minibricks was actually fun to watch, even if sometime generic. This is a major step back in quality. Please dont do this again. Entire video looks like it was AI'd, down to the editing and audio voice too.
To the people saying it’s the same as referencing pictures on google: It’s not the same. If you keep referencing ai art, your art will start to look like ai art, which means it will lack humanity, which is what art is defined as “The expression or application of human creativity and imagination”. Using AI for reference also means you will get things wrong, as AI often does. It will not help to develop you as an artist; both in terms of your skill and imagination to come up with ideas. If you’re struggling to form ideas or bring your concepts to life, you have to experiment, not have ai do the work for you. Lastly, why in a world full of already existing references, would we need ai generated crap? It doesn’t even need to be art, it can be objects in your bedroom, out in the forest, taking a picture of your friend doing a certain pose so you can get proportions right etc. Art existed before Ai. Art will always be superior to Ai, because Ai is not art. Anyone saying anything to the contrary is simply too lazy to learn and create themselves, or too cheap to pay artists. It’s a sad but basic statement. It all boils down to money with these people.
unsubscribing because you jumped on the AI hype train with zero thoughts. many others sound disappointed. hope you learn from this but you wont be getting my support in the future
The fact generative AI is unregulated and plagiarising unprotected artists and everyday profiles from the public is bad enough, but there's a significant negative environmental impact from using it. The water needed to cool servers and other technical equipment alone for the volume of AI slop being generated is insane, and can only get worse. I've loved Minibricks for so long; your crafts were a staple of a relaxation routine when I had bad anxiety, because so much emphasis was on human hands making original pieces with craftsmanship. Selling out to soulless AI prompts for seemingly no reason at all feels so beneath the channel I'd come to love. Yikes, babe....

Please don't go down this path - you're so talented already, you don't need AI to create characters (especially since AI just steals from various artists and sloppily mashes their works together)! 😓 Why not use polls to pick certain features? Or a randomizer if you're not interested in audience participation? Heck, if you want to create a lizard man, then reference actual lizards + their habitats/countries of origin for their designs!
everyone knows how to make characters using ai, its a braindead process, and i imagine everyone here is watching your stuff because they dont want to use it.
I have truly loved following your channel, but this is ... this is bad. AI is predatory to the artist community, why are you sacrificing people from your own community? AI is also really quite detrimental to the planet. That is not anything I want to follow or support. I am very sad to unfollow.
While touching the miniature, if you for example you return painting the head, but the arms are done, cover body with cling wrap (basically the areas that you are touching and painted) for metalic paints, the vallejo ones are good, BUT the silver one is absolutely the best on the market
I'm happy to see how many of you are voicing their concerns. Genuinely hoping the channel takes the feedback in a constructive way and starts doing quality content again. Yes, it's harder. Yes, it takes longer. The results? Night and day.
Wait!... She is the girl of always? I never saw her before, and why is she building from AI ideas? Dont get me wrong, its hard to do things like this but, AI its a bit out of control
AI really? The most rewarding and actually interesting part is the research and coming up with ideas for the design. And yet you chose to play a slot machine with pretty underwealming visuals and boring design... its so weird seeing this from a creative. At this point I wonder if the AI companies paid you for that. Disapointed and sad.
Cuidate. 👍👍
Wow... complete and utter garbage response to the community. Complete and utter garbage stance. I can't believe this came across my feed. Another channel turned dumpster fire because they can't see how stupid gen ai is. Especially since, given the comments, you somehow managed to attract decent people to follow you. I hope your former followers find someone willing to actually use their own creativity instead of a plagiarism machine.
The fact that explaining how GenAI are trained and why they are ruining artists' and writers lives, beyond the extreme environmental impact causes the comments to be deleted is telling a lot about a few things. But probably they didn't like me saying that if they keep using AI a lot of people might unsubscribe. There were 328 comments when I replied, now they're 311 and mine, coupled with a few others without any kind of rudeness and just calm criticism. Sadly, I think I got my answers.
AI tools have their place in the creative process for helping to brainstorm or creatively unblock; but, that being said, this video isn't a great use case of that. If you wanted to take the prompt of mandalorian + lizardman, you could have just started from that to make the sculpt. You're a really talented artist, and I know you're going to get a lot of pushback from the creative community for leaning on image generation to make something you definitely could have come up with without it. I encourage you to continue to learn about the ways AI can be useful and empower creatives, but I do encourage you to trust your own creativity and vision in that way as well.
I do have to agree with the other comments on the AI issue. You’re a really good artist and just makes it weird that you’re using AI. I have to say I’d rather this just be a one off and you just personally design all the other characters. But outside of the AI generation, you did a great job, making a 3-D model and painting the figure as always.

i adored this channel, loved all the work that went into everything, WISHED the aprons were for sale or im blind and cant find them. But now youre gonna use AI? antithetical to what makes art art, no thanks lmao
I just don’t understand how truly creative people can go down the generative AI route. As Hayao Miyazaki put it “It’s an insult to life”.
I see the vast majority of comments so far are criticising you (Politely and with constructive points). I’ll maybe stick around for one more upload in the hope that you course correct, but damn I’m disappointed by this.
I don’t ever want to hear you whining when someone steals your work and makes a ton of money off of it without even giving you a penny or an ounce of credit
Why does the voice over sound like text to speech, it’s super robotic.
Using AI for art is such a weird thing for a channel that seemingly is really creative
@@8BitJesus i thought the script sounded AI generated too, wouldn’t surprise me if i’m honest. it’s such a shame, even more so seeing them favourite the comments that celebrate the use of AI (at this time like 3 of all these comments are in support) completely ignoring the important issues people have with AI
The script and voice sound AI generated and the few clips where she is speaking directly to the camera appear as if the mouth has been AI generated as well. The lip sync doesn't quite line up and the mouth shapes are off. Come to think of it though, everything about this video is weird. Every vid ive watched, she never narrates, shows her face, or uses herself as a focal point in thumbnails. Its always, always about the art...never her. Its a jarring and bizarre change.
@@JefferyCheney Yeh, that was a surreal thing, in all the videos I've watched, I've never seen anything other than hands - it made me wonder whether the channels been taken over, rather than a new direction
@8BitJesus I wonder if their company hired an SEO manager who told them "well AI is a popular topic and people want to see faces etc. And faces in thumbnails get X more engagement. " The problem of course is that all of that is WAY off brand for Minibricks... So if thats the case, the SEO manager failed big time by giving general market analysis, not what can actually help *their* specific niche brand.
It's because English isn't her native language.. Jesus fukin Christ everything has to be some sort of conspiracy
I really hope this channel doesn't devolve into an uncreative AI crapfest. Based on the comments and like/dislike ratio, I'm not the only one.
Man have you watched the video? How what she did was a crapfest? She made a original work using a piece of AI. Like many real artists see AI just as a tool to try something different. Gotta love the dictators of art.
@@brunorocha1328 Compare it to eating in a restaurant. I don't expect the chef to start with a store-bought microwave dinner and add some things to it to make it a little tastier.
no need to use ai to make a design concept like this. very disappointing because i love this channel :(
it’s such a basic and common concept, there will be thousands of ‘lizardmen’ and ‘snakemen’ references for you to create your own unique design, absolutely no reason to use AI that actively steals from other artists and is terrible for the environment.
even worse seeing it come from a fellow artist. you could’ve just sketched this concept from the 4 reference images you chose.
Yeah:(( I just got the notification for this video, and my only reaction was "AI? Gross, I'm gonna unsubscribe"😭 tbf it was only that harsh because I couldn't associate any videos to the channel name (never looked at it much) so I thought it was just some random channel I subscribed to after watching like, one video from them😭
Now knowing what they do, I really don't understand how they got this idea, especially now. There was a moment where most people were still like "wow funky ai!" But pretty much everyone just hates it now
@Lazzuuu i’ve watched this channel for ages because i love watching the process of creating a model/sculpt and their use of resin, i couldn’t believe the notification seeing they decide to use AI. and considering this is supposed to be inspired/referencing a snake, it looks absolutely nothing like them, thanks to AI. i seriously hope this backlash will make them reconsider using AI and learn more about how disgusting it is
Same. I see lizard, but no snake.
Dude AI is just a tool. Many artists just use it to make their own original work or just to get inspiration. Grown up or shut up already.
The girl sounds and looks like AI
I really try to be nice about this, but by now, everybody should be aware how bad they look when they use AI. This is embarrassing.
Used to love this channel, really... As an artist myself, I'm very *very* disapointed. Unsub.
So you’re gonna steal from other artists? Cause that’s what AI does, it steals from artists. I really thought you were better than that.
I thought I was following fellow creatives making an craft I dont have the means to get into myself but clearly I was mistaken. Have a good life, hope you stub your toe every chance possible.
You were such a cool artist. You literally never needed AI. So disappointing. You have such an incredible brain, use that instead of stealing other people’s work for your own profit and ease.
Thanks for making an example of yourself. Hopefully everyone like you hears the message loud and clear.
Your a creative channel and your using something which kills creativity, if you don't stop people will leave and this channel will fade into obscurity and you'll deserve it
no need to be rude
@@formanimacion no need to be a moocher.
Why... why go down this road?
Oh damn, what a mess 😂
Using AI, replacing the work of a human artist, what a disgusting channel, I already unsubscribed.
Why? Why A.I.... why?
Please don't do this! You're a talented artist, don't start relying on AI for content
Boooo! No ai! this was supposed to be a pro-artist space. How disappointing.
unsubscribing because you jumped on the AI hype train with zero thoughts. many others sound disappointed. hope you learn from this but you wont be getting my support in the future
It was nice while it lasted, goodbye.
James Cameron warned us
Another one bites the dust, I guess...
Who's the artist you or AI what ever happened to hand sketching
Was this channel hacked? This is sad.
Incredibly disappointed. Minibricks has always been a bastion of creativity and inspiration. AI undermines art and I can't believe you guys would just go for a fad like this. I'm unsubscribing and never watching again.
I am sad to say. I have unsubbed from this channel. I can not in good faith follow someone as talented as you WHO LITERALLY MADE THINGS FROM SCARTCH. Use AI. that is literally. a kick to the sack to you and your profession. I wish you good luck. but i am no longer going to watch. nor support this channel. thank you for the content so far until up to this point.
small edit: i watched the first 5 minutes. the program SHE USED has been caught stealing from artists. I can not in good faith as stated watch this
In case you dont know, chrome paints look a lot better when put over a black basecoat. Coming from a former car painter. Ans I for one lile this new format. More in depth with details.
Miss that enjoying calm, relax of making diorama video, not like this, voice over, unnecessary clip for humour.
Disappointing. Done with this channel now. Which sucks, because this is the channel that convinced me to get a 3d printer.
No, NMM is ONLY about metallic objects.
Nah, get back to creating without AI please
thanks for been clear about your process, sadly using AI. nex step is printing 3d AI model. using AI voice, then AI videos... bye
Please don't go down this path - you're so talented already, you don't need AI to create characters (especially since AI just steals from various artists and sloppily mashes their works together)! 😓 Why not use polls to pick certain features? Or a randomizer if you're not interested in audience participation? Heck, if you want to create a lizard man, then reference actual lizards + their habitats/countries of origin for their designs!
nope
I used to watch h your videos but when a 3D printer dose the sculpting the artist is no longer their
i used to love your videos soooo much and binge them every now and then. i'm unsubscribing from use of ai this is disgusting.
Quite possibly the dumbest thing you could have done.
your channel has gone to shit with a single video, AI is the antithesis of creation and human creativity. Incredibly disappointing
Bruh ai
Love your work, but this is a huge swing and a miss.
The monotone narration is what kills me....
artists supporting using ai like this is the most disturbing and disappointing thing ever. unsubbing immediately.
Come on. Screw that AI crap.
This whole video just seems off.
everyone knows how to make characters using ai, its a braindead process, and i imagine everyone here is watching your stuff because they dont want to use it.
Ever tried making another one of these only it would be a female lizard man or lizard woman or snake woman? Just an idea to think about.
from one artist to another: this aint it
This channel was suggested to me, but now, after seeing AI used Nevermind!
I have truly loved following your channel, but this is ... this is bad. AI is predatory to the artist community, why are you sacrificing people from your own community? AI is also really quite detrimental to the planet. That is not anything I want to follow or support. I am very sad to unfollow.
Looks like a temu predator.
While touching the miniature, if you for example you return painting the head, but the arms are done, cover body with cling wrap (basically the areas that you are touching and painted)
for metalic paints, the vallejo ones are good, BUT the silver one is absolutely the best on the market
I'm happy to see how many of you are voicing their concerns. Genuinely hoping the channel takes the feedback in a constructive way and starts doing quality content again. Yes, it's harder. Yes, it takes longer. The results? Night and day.
Nice. BTW which brush editor do you use?
RIGHT?? Concepting is fun itself!
Nah, fam.
always a shame to see artists contribute to their own demise
Oh wow look more ai 🗑
bad move to start the year off
Generative AI? Gross.
Cuidate. 👍👍
Very disappointing to see this.
Yeah, judging by the response Minibricks is giving, it seems like they truly don't care about the lack of human creativity. L take, Minibricks.
Ew, no more AI please.
Wow... complete and utter garbage response to the community.
Im actually quite excited for this new series, and I can't wait to see more of it
AI tools have their place in the creative process for helping to brainstorm or creatively unblock; but, that being said, this video isn't a great use case of that.
Excuse me but who are you...?

No. Not use IA. You was a good channel, why destroy it like this?
VERY disappointed
disappointing coming from someone who is supposedly an artist
NOPE. 🗑
I understand that AI is all the rage but personally i feel it removes the soul of the artist from the art 😢😢😢😢😢😢
i promise you, every artist with a soul, a heart, a slither of empathy hates AI. until it becomes regulated to prevent theft and stops using ridiculous amounts of energy, i will die on this hill of being anti-AI.
