Are equalizer slides trickier to install than the plain slides? I'm replacing a warped equalizer with one made of maple and I'm losing my mind getting it to work for a butterfly leaf table. BEAUTIFUL TABLE!
The installation process for equalizer slides is similar to standard slides, but does require some more thought when mounting your center pedestal. Let us know if you have any questions during your install!
I THINK I NEEED DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON REPLACING A 24" EQUALIZER WITH A 28" EQUALIZER FOR A PEDESTAL TABLE WITH A BUTTERFLY LEAF. CAN'T SEEM TO GET IT TO WORK CORRECTLY.
Hey Daniel! Please email info@osbornewood.com or contact our customer service team so that we can get some more information on your project. We would love to help!
We typically recommend installing each side as close to the inside of your table skirt as possible while still leaving enough room to easily work with. However, we can't give exact dimensions as they will change depending on the size of your table. Feel free to refer to our Table Slides Information page on our website or give our Customer Service Team a call for a walkthrough on choosing the correct slides! Thanks for watching!
Couldn’t you install the slides closer to the aprons, i.e., farther apart from one another, in order to store extension leaves underneath the tabletop?
Hey Frank! Thanks for asking. Yes that would be a possibility, just insure they are parallel to one another and do not rub the apron when opening and closing!
Hey Sherry! In order to effectively troubleshoot, we would need more details on your table. Feel free to send an inquiry to info@osbornewood.com or contact our customer service team and we would be happy to help. Thanks!
The right and left side is just to make sure that you get one of each. It doesn't matter which side is left and which is right. Please don't hesitate to call our customer service team for more trouble shooting assistance with your table slides. They can be reached via call or text at (800) 849-8876.
Currently we only have 2D JPG and DXF files listed on the individual product pages for our slides. We have a 3D file for #9052, but it is not listed. Feel free to get in touch with one of our Customer Service Reps and they can connect you with our Drafting department if you are interested in the file for #9052. Thanks for your support!
I would not glue for this application. The grain of the apron on the sides is running perpendicular to that of the top members meaning their rates of expansion will be different along the apron. Using the pocket screws only will allow for this.
This video is a WINNER!

The video did not discuss the right side, left side wording on the side of the slides. Is that not an issue?

Do you have a 3D model of your slides? I am designing a table in fusion 360.

did you use glue also, or just pocket screws?
