Can you recommend a price per stem
mark-up which will cover labor. In the old days I would use 3 1/2 times to come up with the retail for everything. It also helped when fluctuations in price of stems due to them being in or out of season

Any person who makes anything triples cost and then adds labor Its been that way always.

If you use a knife to cut the stems, the sharp point easily slides into the foam.

Here in Britain we put greenery in first that looks nothing like an English mass design actually. But I do like your open and shut the gate technique.

8 hydrangeas at $2 a piece, $16. Plus 6 roses at $1, $22, plus pot at $3, equals $25, plus a dollar for foam... $24?... Ok...lol

and retail costs since they sell at bulk so its really is expensive since its for a wedding

Dump out water and hold under faucet to refill
