    Dobrý den, veliká prosba... Tančila jsem před lety Českou i Moravskou besedu v lidovém kroji, nyní bych ji ráda zpracovala v barokním kostýmu. Máte dokonalou hudbu, kterou nemůžu nikde najít. Můžete mi poradit zdroj? Moc Vám děkuji.

      MyRene1971 The tunes used were selected and arranged by Ferdinand Heller in1862 . I am told they are versions of Czech children's games and nursery rhymes. There are other RUclips versions of this dance where the words are sung during the performance. I have no translation of them ,sorry , Ellis

    I think swing is quite a bit more fun than this appears to be. On the other hand, such a sedate dance would not not make you sweat - which would be an enormous bonus

      Quadrilles that use basic steps from 2 or several couple dances
      are more interesting, difficult & energetic- cakewalk, polka, galop, 2step, schottusche, waltz,
      nazurka,!etc. See videos unde” 19th century or Victorian dances”
      Postings are by Richard Powers
      Carnet de bal, Révérences, Coun

      following specially composed music,Not sure what this dance/

    Quadrilles are always fun to watch - and this one to Czech tunes (one of which, at about 3:08, sounds like one of the numbers from Smetana's "Bartered Bride" - just a few seconds of it. And, of course, the elegant ballroom attire just adds to the visual pleasure. Great video - thanks.

    • @veronikavolhejnova5036
      @veronikavolhejnova5036 3 года назад +3

      You are quite right - Smetana was one of the creators of this quadrille and was among the dancers who performed it for the very first time in 1863. He was an ardent dancer, when young, and wrote lots of dances, too. And these songs are known (and sometimes sung) as folk songs to this day
