I never thought of my R1250GSA as beautiful -- but after seeing the 1300GSA, I do now!!!!
The 1250 just became a collectors item.
Yup I just got a new 1250gsa ultimate edition in februari…. Im thinking about getting another brand new one and store it while i can get my hands on it.
Radical design in the market always comes from BMW. Everybody will hate at first sight, in a year same people wants to buy :) Never changes….
The most intelligent comment on this thread by far. 👌🏻
I love the bike design. I wud take it in a heartbeat.
Royal Enfield is being trolled in India for doing exactly opposite of this.
I actually think it looks great. I don't know where all the hate is coming from. It's bold and different. Not trying to look like any other bike. People complained about the last one and will complain about the next one.
@@juliusbrewster its the color combination that made it looks odd.
But its a beauty for me too.
I‘am happy that I have an R1250GS ADV 😊
Me too :) I think it just went up in value a bit.
Me too.... I am more than happy now.... Its like damn I am the owner of the last beauty bike from BMW
This should make the dealers holding inventory happy. By the time the 2024s are gone, folks will have opportunities to ride this, enjoy it, and hopefully lead more new riders to the GSA brotherhood. We need more younger riders… I say we welcome them.
Keep it safe
Me too 😊
Is that a motorcycle or a multi-colored refrigerator with wheels? Yuuch!
Exactly.
the muted crowd are thinking WTF!
The Ugly duck
Never saw an unhappy crowd at any event like this one, just a few people reacted out of kindness to the desperates presenters asking for enthusiasm lol
Agreed.. I was there - somewhere in the middle of the field.. just a shame.. Microphone of CEO not working, no one shows up to replace.. they had to share microphones, noise level higher as the speaker.. and so much more went wrong.. if I would be in Markus Flasch shoes I would have a serious discussion with my people on Monday!
@@GB-818
In the past, especially in the 80/90, the sentence: MADE IN GERMANY was enough to anyone living in this world to buy anything closed eyes without asking any question, because it was meaning the perfection in all aspects.
Now Germany production is living just on it old reputation, the globalization killed it industry.
The sentence MADE IN GERMANY is working today only on 40+ yo persons as a nostalgic psychological relationship with it, in the same way that MADE IN CHINA was the synonym of garbage without even seeing the product
It's sad but it's the truth....
@@Maximius38Unfortunately I have to agree with your statement
I cannot stop laughing looking at the motorbike and reading comments 😅😂
I thought the Pan American was ugly..... this takes it to a whole new level 🤦🏻♂
Shut up!
Pan America is beautiful
agree.....this may have all kinds of super functionality, but just glancing at the "squared off" look my first impression was it lo9oks like the Pan American.......i suppose anything can grow on you but I am really surprised with the similar look to HD
I’m trying to be opened minded, that the huge change to the look will grow on me but all I can think is, holy moly this just isn’t the GSA I was hoping for.
And now, some recent history lessons to help the collective memory of some here.
1994: When BMW put an ABS on the GS 1100.
The same kind of guys like today here, said, "ADV bikes don't need ABS. It's a gimmick."
Today ABS is mandatory for all bikes.
1999: When BMW made this asymmetrical headlight on GS1150.
The same kind of guys like today were saying "WTF?"
These asymmetrical headlights have stayed for 14 years on the GS.
Today they are winning, "Where is the GS character on the new 1300 with the "X" headlight? Bring the old (asymmetrical) headlight back again!"
2004: When BMW released the new GS 1200 and it was 40 kg lighter and 25% more powerful than the previous model GS 1150.
The same kind of guys like today were complaining, there are too many electronics and it is too "plasticky" in comparison with the "traditional" GS's . Today all bikes are full of electronics and plastic to reduce weight.
2008: When BMW introduced the already existing in other BMW models, ESA to the GS.
The same kind of guys like today were saying, "This is not necessary for an adventure bike! It will break easily and adds one more concern on the road!"
Today if a bike doesn't have electronic suspension, it is a B class bike.
2012: When BMW introduced the first liquid cooled GS.
The same kind of guys like today were saying, "This will be one more issue to concern, if in an off-road use, the refrigerator brakes and leaks"
Today all adventure Bikes are liquid cooled but only at BMW should be a concern.
2023/2024: GS 1300/GSA 1300
Any similarities?
Ah!!! And something else!
When people see the Multistrada Ducati V4 as an alternative for the GSA 1300, because of its look, sorry guys! You are on the wrong page here.
The crowd went numb 😂
Reading the text cards out loud is really cringe, high school level presentation skills
I thought I might have been the only one who noticed that! Maybe need a few tips from Apple on how to rehearse a presentation. Very underwhelming for a professional company.
Although his first language is German.
Yeah, at this level... I'm disappointed by the presentation too :(
OMG. i am sure the price of the old gsa has now increased at least 15% :-(
Sadly, I jumped the gun. Thank you for highlighting the clutch lever as an option. Cheers.
@@olethanatos8173it's an optional feature
@@yramd1621I don’t really understand how he missed that part.
triumph tiger explorer!
👍👍👍
BMW designers: Let's just mount a top box instead of a fuel tank. 😂
😝
My same reaction to it haha
Or... lets make a good bike thats so pig ugly a lot of potential customers will reject it anyway ....
Now the Lego version will looks exactly the same
I was waiting for the GSA to change my 1200 2012 Rallye….. but I am starting to look into KTM and Ducati. Thank for making it easy to NoT choose you ….
triumph is back on the table
Kein Problem. Ducati gehört zu VW bzw Audi und ist ein deutscher Hersteller
The KTM 1290 is looking better by te minute
How nice of bmw to give market share to the competitors that easily 😂
That is the ugliest BMW I have ever seen. What were they thinking? Praying for a quick re-design.
My hunch is when the sales are an absolute flop & another brand takes the top of the ADV sales chart, there will be a redesign. Very sad as I’ve been a GS guy since my first one in 1997.
@@FourIntoOne you speak as though all previous GS models were stunning.
@@Chris-vq5vr True. They started off Bulky. But they kept improving it over time in terms of looks. But this one is hideous if you ask me.
Min. 3:26: "this car...sorry again, this bike".....🤣🤣🤣🤣
maybe it's just me but they botched the R12 NineT & massacred the GS / GSA .. someone at motorrad needs to walk the plank .. i'll keep my 1200GSA / 1250GSA & R9T for some time.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder............ I think it is beautiful. I am still in love with my 2023 GS Adventure, so I will make the switch someday, but not anytime soon.
Couldn’t agree more, I was thinking of selling my 1200gsa and retiring from motorbiking but now thinking part-ex.. it looks rugged, I want one
I have a 1250 GSA , I am thinking of upgrading . The bike looks good!
As a current 1250 gsa owner who was thinking of an upgrade with all the blind spot, radar cruise, etc, this is a hard no. What the heck went down in that design room.
Me too, I couldnt buy such an horrendous looking bike and no matter how well it goes. Its a turd on 2 wheels.
What the hell were the designers smoking? 😢
Plutonium I think
😄😄😄😄 shorts show or smoking leaked 🤪🤪🤪🤪
I am truly pumped for this new vehicle in the house........I feel so excited to get to see it in real life. But i still think,as a biker,a clutch is worth everything in a bike. A clutch must be there.....
I’ve been on GS’s since 2007.
You’ve lost me BMW. I guess I’m not the target audience anymore.
Exactly.
Happy to have 1200 gs rally
The crowd reaction at 09:00 says it all
1300 does not have character. This one does.
Forget the new bike-just look at those bell-bottom pants she’s wearing. Now that’s what I call fashion for adventure riding!
First thing I noticed - her high water bell bottoms. Terrible looking, as is the bike.
BMWs answer to the Challenger 2 tank😂😂😂😂😂
I was a little worried going for an early r1300 gs because I didn't want the adventure to give me buyers remorse. Not worried anymore!
I think the triple black would look good in the dark 😂
I was waiting so long for this one..... Well... It looks like iam getting the Honda Africa twin dct 2024😅😂
DECEPCINANTE, HORRÍVEL
Total BMW fan dude here🤓so be prepared for major geek out.
Wow BMW what an amazing motorcycle. A true engineering masterpiece😍🙌.
If I were super wealthy I would own every motorcycle in your line up with every option😅🤑.
Congratulations on engineering the new Pinnacle of adventure touring motorcycles.
The new GS1300 GSA is a rider’s motorcycle. I love how you don’t let heritage stand in the way of engineering brilliance. It is truly one of the many things that make BMW motorcycles second to none and a TRUE premium motorcycle experience.
You all should be very proud of your achievements👏🤍💙
Did they take styling hints from the Harley ADV?
and a lego player
Clearly... :(
& robocop
The presenter has perfectly defined it: "speechless" "sin palabras"
The rhino at the beginning says it all.
Simplemente....... H O R R I B L E _________ Felizmente me quedo mi R1250GSA
When he mistakenly says 'car'.....he should have said 'tank'..!!! Holy crap that's ugly. The designer's must have been betting each other saying 'No way are they going to let us get away with this shite' !!! 😂😂
Decided to buy our 3rd 1250 Adventure in April 2024 rather than wait for the 1300. What a great decision. The new bike looks like a magnet that has been wheeled through a scrapyard.
I love the blocky styling of this thing.
💙🤍🔥
@@bmwmotorrad it took me a little bit of a day, but I’m totally onboard. I hope the tank is made from some thick sturdy aluminum.
I actually really like this new design and love the huge tank and range it’s going to provide !
The word UGLY has a new definition.
I though my 1250 GSA was the ugliest bike of the production. I was wrong …
Jep. Your correct. That you are wrong 🤣
There are few brands that should bring new innovative designs, one is BMW. This is an iconic motorcycle and you have made it from the start, thanks for this evolution, Great Job
U can’t be serious? Right?
Should have gone to Spec-savers
Is it a motorrad or a CAR, even the Germans can’t see the difference…..
Horrible design, horrible front light!
Yeah but now the front light is the prettiest feature !!!
The biggest disappointment in history of BMW - shame on YOU!
🙈🫣👊🏻
who you?
maybe check it out IRL first. My opinion on the new 1300GS was similar, until I rode it and saw it in person.... My 1300 will be delivered in 2 weeks..
It looks absolutely AMAZING what are you talking about??
Lost me with automatic gears… as far as it being better in person… the crowd are not exactly going off… they all look confused/disappointed.
A pannier mounted crane on the rear box would not be out of place for loading their bikes. Trying to love it. I will need a square silver helmet and gloves.
They should have random drug test at the Berlin Design Department!
Actually i am intrigued to know what they are smocking... 🤣🤣🤣
At first I didn’t like it, but it starts growing on me 👍
Looks great, very rugged and utilitarian - as a GSA should be, great job #motorrad
We really appreciate that! 🙌
Great job BMW! Love that you didn't make it look like all the other big ADV bikes. Some will say it's ugly, but it's not. It is unique looking in an overcrowded motorcycle segment. I'm not a dirt rider, so I'm looking forward to the R1300 R. Give is a sweet, lighter weight, naked roadster!!
Seems like he doesn’t know what he is talking about having to read off a script
come on mate, he‘s only a member of the board of bmw
I'm glad I didn't wait and got the 2023 R1250 GS Adventure .
“This car, sorry, bike!” Says it all…
The mix from Harley Panamera + Vstrom + Lego = Design horrible, my next motorcycle Ducati Multistrada V4
How do we go from the graceful 1300 GS to THIS?? Are you out of your mind?
what have You done....
Who let BMW car designers work on the Motorrad team 😂
When I am riding my 1200 GSA I often think if only it had another 100cc (approx)!
I’ve got the 1200 GS Adventure TE, it’s great! First thing I’d do with this one is replace the horn with a sound bomb and add a larger foot to the side stand, so it doesn’t sink into soft ground, which mine did. I actually like the boxy look of the 1300, but I bet all of the luggage costs around £2,000 extra. The aluminium panniers and top box on the 1200 were £1,500.
Let’s see how much that little lot costs, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was around £26,000 or so for a fully spec bike and all of the luggage/bags.
I realized why this bike design like this. It's perfect for itasha, it has very wide canvas
As a 1250gsa owner, and despite all the negative comments here, and the silent audiences in the video, i have to admit, I DO LIKE THIS NEW 1300GSA ......
When boxes are not mounted, it looks much better than 1250gsa, especially the seat and tail part, and most of the time I prefer riding without those pannier boxes.
Besides, it has factory mounted cylinder head protection plate, and tank bag mounting rack.
And further more, they have automatic gearshifter, this is what I have been expecting all these years. Automatic gearshifting will make your long trip much easier, you can focus more on traffic condition and roadside views......
I will serously consider this major upgrade when it is available here.
Great to hear you like it! The bike will definitely be a perfect partner for any grand adventure. 😍🔥
I don´t understand why so much hate. I have 2023 R1250 Adv, but this is quite good looking bike. We need to get used to new design.
Good luck with that.
BMW was awaiting the crowd response, and decided it was not the appropriate time to announce that they had rehired Chris Bangle as design director of the new GSA.
I dread to think what the RS will turn out like. So pleased I grabbed a 1250 RS last week.
Did they design at IKEA? 😂
I guess the designer of the cybertruck funded a new job at BMW after all🤔😂
If you love speed or if you like your car to be powerful and you care about beauty, BMW has it all.
Clever, BMW comes with 2 very different proposals. GS for road purpose and the GSA for adventurers and off-road. Whereas in the past , they just add a few equipments to the GS to make the GSA more off-road. I'm 54 y.o, I'm not the kind of the customer who easily accepts changes, but I like this new explorer-machine. Sure that it will surprise GSA owners, but I've no doubt that BMW has made a successful decision.
Thanks for your feedback. Maybe this will be the next bike for another great adventure. 😎By far you're not too old to travel the world on the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure - after all, that's what this motorbike was designed for. Go for it! 😉
@@bmwmotorrad So that means the air filters are easy to get to at the camp site to clean/change at the end of a big day sucking in dust on the outback dirt roads? Or are they hidden under the tank? (making a 2 min job into a 30min/high risk operation)
After all you cant expect to sell a bike for offroad adventures then claim the owner didn’t maintain the filter on a engine warranty claim if you advertise it as offroad and hide a filter under the tank as a decision of form>function.
2 big igloo coolers on the side for fuel? It looks like the Harley
This is making me really want that last year model 1200 GSA with the Tft.
For sure a perfect bike for long adventures. The PM made is with the development team. It will be for sure a great success.
Appreciat that! 🙌 But we have to correct you: The bike is not just made for long adventures - it was designed for travelling the world! 😉
😂 the riders were like NBA players .. the average person looks at these bikes and thinks WTF I need high heels boots
My grandma had the same old Hoover fridge. And even the same red color!
Where's the backlit switches?
Thank you bmw motorrad ❤❤
😲 je suis surpris par l'esthétique de cette nouvelle GS Adventure !🤭
I think it looks great actually. It's different and pushes the limit of design. It's bold and not trying to copy any other manufacturer.
Appreciate that! You definitely push your limits with the BMW R 1300 GSA! 😎
Congratulations from Canada for these wonderful machines.
How do you slip the clutch for the real off-road moments? Like to see how that automatic system works doing the garage aka gs trophy human tricks????
My first thought!
@@panpaitos They had a chance to beat Hondas DCT if they just leave a clutch on the damn bike if we want to use it. These people have no clue what we want. I had a DCT and loved it but wanted a clutch as an option. Was hoping the brilliant BMW folks would do it right....now they try to market no clutch lever as a competitive feature????😂😂😂😂😂
Top it off with the ugliest gas tank ever put on a GS?
I bet theres still no Apple Carplay or Android Auto either....
So out of touch in such a highly competitive market. No reason to upgrade for this version, can hold on to my 1200 Triple Black until they make something worth upgrading to.
Indestructible? It won't break? Doubt that very much
Those hand guards will be the first part to break
It won't because no living organism in their right mind will ever think of touching one.
I’m guessing this is going to be my new GSA 😁. I like it 👍🏼
I love that out of all the possible colourways.... they chose the one that EMPHASISED the ice cooler/photocopier/fridge box bike design.... BMW are out of their minds. The collision radar and auto box sounds like good stuff but damn... KTM 890 Adventure it is.
Lmao that crowd was so numb after seeing the bike 😂😂😂
I wonder if there's a fleet of service trucks trailing behind them to Namibia, loaded to the brim with spare parts. You know, just in case they need to rebuild the whole thing on the go!😂😂😂
I am keeping my GSA 1250 even closer and locked in tight :-)
I like it. Original and spectacular. Were you waiting for the same bike? This is a new generation!
Ok, now the top box is on the front...so where is the fuel tank? Or is the top box also the fuel tank? Very creative guys!! Well done to the designer and to top management for approving it!
I really like it, people will change their tune with Time.
I love Bmw bikes and cars 💖
This is what i am waiting for, an all new design and robust at that. Transitioning from GT400 to RS1300. ☝️🏍️🏍️🏍️
I have a 1250 GSA . Am thinking of upgrading to 1300 GSA , it looks like a tank , just the way I like it !
BMW now coming with freezers for warmer climates mounted to the tank on both sides? Ducati, Triumph and Honda head offices roaring with laughter and seeing climbing projected sales charts.
Looks fine to me. It's an adventure bike. Looks the part to me.
I love the nwe design in a way it reminds me of rugged style of the r1150gsa I also love that you invited my favorite youtuber Agustin for the long test ride, cheers!
When is the guide dog coming.
And then there appeared a Ducati Desert X big engine model to compete in the large ADV segment. BMW was never heard from again.
The best part is BMW leadership is patting itself on the back and signing bonus checks to each other over this project.
The marketing descriptions are truly remarkable!!!
Something about the Himalayas, jungles of south America etc.
And the crowd went …….. mild
looks like they took down the other video where they were asking for questions.
