I find that for dump cakes if I take the cake mix and add the butter and nuts in a bowl and stir them together. Then I place it over the top and every little granule gets a little bit of butter instead of some areas not getting any. I started at nine years old making tapioca pudding in the Crock-Pot and then I lived in Morocco and I had to make more desserts in the slow cooker. Maybe I should write a book about slow cooker desserts there are probably 50 million out there already! :-)
We make a Pumpkin Dump Cake that is super easy and can be made in the crockpot I am sure. I just bake mine in a 9x13 pan and bake it for 45 to 55 minutes at 375 degrees. 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree 2 eggs 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional) 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp vanilla Pour into your pan. Top with a Spice, Yellow, White, French Vanilla or Butter Pecan Cake Mix. Our personal favorite is the Spice Cake for extra flavor but I sometimes have trouble finding spice cake in my area. So I have used all the other cake mixes with great success 1 stick of sliced or melted butter 1 cup chopped pecans (optional) I add the pecans half way thru the baking process. In my oven they often get over browned in 55 minutes of bake time at 375 degrees and I find it makes the pecans bitter tasting. So I bake for about 20 minutes, then add the pecans and it comes out perfect every time. We make this year round. My husband works nights and gets home between 3 and 7 am. I often have this waiting for him and he eats it when he comes in. It is really not breakfast since he has worked all night, but it is breakfast time for most people. He likes it with whipped cream.
Thank you for sharing, I made the Pear Spice dump cake yesterday and it was a big hit with my family💕❤️💕💕the house smelled soooo good!! It’s was so yummy!!!
I have fresh pears.. crazin trail mix with nuts in.. had some leftover juice smoothie.. used as sauce with pears on bottom.. and had 2 half bags of white cake to use up-- all in-- will let you know in couple hours --- eeeeeee -- lol*****okay it is a few hours and ..shazammm!!!... it's delicious...the trail mix is the ticket... ohhhhhhhh wish I could share with you all!!!
Both perfect for Thanksgiving! While you're putting the finishing touches on the meal, your desserts can be on stand by for after dinner! I'm brand new to your channel, and just had to say, that your big, bright smile really cheers my heart
Girl, your video production is GOALS!!! Also, I am loving the lip! ;) This looks SOOOOO yummy! I can't wait to try the chocolate pumpkin dump cake. I feel like you can't go wrong there! It was so fun collating with you and we will have to do something again soon!
haha thank you so much! My husband was actually watching some Mandy in the Making videos to learn some filming tips from her husband. :-) Your Cinnamon Blueberry Breakfast Bake looked UNREAL. Definitely a great/easy idea for the upcoming holidays. Thanks for the collaboration!!
Like#1. Pumpkin + chocolate = you can’t go wrong! Be sure to tell your hubby that we liked the music too please. Nice video. We look forward to the next one. Off to The Kitchen Wife now. Thanks.
Your bold lip looks great! I found your channel from THE BAKING DIVA! She did such a great review on you that I had to come visit and love your channel! So cool that you can make a half and half cake in the crock pot! Looks like your little one enjoyed it too! When you opened the lid on the pear cake and I could see the cooking bubbles, I so wanted to make this!😊🌷🌼
All of these look wonderful! I'm catching up on your channel as I've had surgery recently. When I can have real food again, I'll try the chocolate pumpkin dessert first. 😃
Hi Ann, I made many dump cakes but never one in the crockpot. It’s sitting right on my kitchen counter so guess what I’ll be doing next! LOL Thanks for sharing and I’ll see you soon, Dolores 🥰😍🎃👍
It was a great flavor combination. I didn't try it with fresh, but I think it would work if your pears were ripe. Maybe peel them first and add a little water? Let me know if you experiment with fresh pears!
Hi Anne! I'm coming over from Dolores " The Baking Diva"... She did a great Shoutout for you and here I am. I'm looking forward to your future recipes. 🍁🎃🍁
I don’t have a crockpot. I never got into the slow cooking thing. I like to make casseroles in the oven in 60 to 90 minutes. I wonder if that recipe would work in an oven.
Yes! Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes to an hour (or until golden/bubbling). You can refer to other dump cake recipes online that are baked in the oven for more specific instructions.
That pair one looks delicious. I'm going to have to try that. Thank you for the recipe
Chocolate and pumpkin are amazing flavors put together. Your pear dump cake sounds so delicious. 😊🍂🍂
Catherine's Plates thanks Catherine! You originally inspired me with your pumpkin dump cake-thank you! 🎃

Write that book! :-) Also, thank you so much for that tip--that definitely makes sense to ensure a non-grainy texture!

They all look tasty but the one with pears looks the best to me! I wonder if I could make it with fresh pears instead of canned? 🤔🤔
